Story
**Fostered in Corvallis, OR and ready for meet and greets!** Meet Melanie Maple Bar – The Sweetest Treat! Do you love patisseries? Oui, Oui! Well then, Melanie Maple Bar is the perfect pup for you! This extra sweet girl is about 4.5 months old and has been thriving in the PNW since arriving at her foster home. We believe Melanie is a Chittie (a Chihuahua/Pittie mix—aka the ultimate Texas Special), but with rescue, it’s always a bit of a guess. She’s currently a petite 25 pounds and will likely grow to be around 35-45 pounds. With her stunning maple-red coat, big ol’ ears, and slightly wrinkly face, she’s as adorable as she is unique! Melanie is incredibly smart—she’s had only one accident since arriving and is just about 100% potty trained. Her foster mom has even taught her to ring a bell when she needs to go out! She’s fostered with a teenager (who she adores) and enjoys zooming around outside with her doggy foster sibling. Toys and bones? Yes, please! Melanie loves them all (and might destroy them, so stock up!). She also has a deep love for blankets and is great at keeping herself entertained. But don’t let that fool you—this girl is a professional lap dog who loves curling up for a nap. She’s working on her manners (learning not to jump) and will need a family committed to her continued training. If you're looking for a mix of playful, smart, and cuddly, Melanie Maple Bar is the perfect pup for you! You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Meet Hope the Pasadena Sweetheart! She is currently 15 weeks old, only 11 pounds, and we think she may be a small Chihuahua/Pittie mix mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Hope's video here: Hope is simply amazing. She will dazzle you with her good looks and charm you with her endearing personality - this petite girl has it all and she's ready to give it to you, right alongside all her love and adoration! Hope loves to play, and this girl wants - no, she NEEDS - all the toys. (And we mean ALL the toys!) You can't help but laugh watching her stockpile toys and then romp and play with her favourite ones. (Don't worry, she shares toys - she will bring them to your lap and expect to have a seat there, a snuggle, and a relaxing chewtime, too. We absolutely endorse these laptime love sessions!) We adore Hope's joyful attitude and her charm and happiness is contagious. This girl and her zest for gentle puppy play will have you giggling and smiling, and her never-ending quest to deliver all the kisses you can stand will soften every beating heart she meets. She is definitely a people-person (uh, dog), and has never met a stranger - Hope loves everyone. Hope is currently in a loving and experienced foster home with several other dogs, ranging in size and age. She's also great around cats, generally giving them a wide and respectful berth, and chickens too! She has mastered several commands like "sit" already, and is learning to be perfect on leash too. Hope has it all - she is living her best puppy life and all she needs right now is YOU! Hope is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Story
Meet Andy Andy is an adorable Chihuahua-Corgi mix (or at least, that’s our best guess!) with a heart full of love and a deep desire for companionship. He thrives in the company of his humans and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the day—he’ll miss you the moment you leave! Currently living with other small dogs, Andy would do well in a home with canine friends but could also soak up all the love as your one-and-only. A yard would be a dream for him, giving him the perfect spot to bask in the sun and enjoy the fresh air. Whether in a family home or with a single adopter, Andy is ready to be someone’s loyal shadow, best friend, and constant source of comfort. If you’re looking for a pup who will adore you endlessly, Andy is the one for you! Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67a3f42f40a71f0b420dc5f1 Questions? Watch Buff's video here: https://youtu.be/Xe1izwTi6rc?feature=shared Buff is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. he comes from a litter of 8 and loves to play with all of his siblings and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Buff is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Hi - my name is Rigby and I was just recently rescued from a California shelter, where I was made urgent for who knows what reason. I had pretty bad teeth, so my rescuers just took me in for a dental, where I had 13 teeth pulled! I am quiet and easygoing, and I do well with other dogs. I would love a home where I can retired, have a nice, relaxing life and have a person or people who love me. I weigh only 7 pounds! Please email for an application.

Story
Cody has the cutest little face and we just couldn't resist getting him and his brother out of the California shelter! You will fall in love meeting this little fuzzy kiddo! He has a long body, and cute little short legs which makes him extra endearing. - Estimated date of birth is 11/28/24 - Weighs 9 pounds at 13 weeks old. We are predicting Cody will be under 30 pounds full grown but we cannot guarantee size at maturity. - Cody’s Wisdom Panel DNA test came back as Chihuahua, American Staffordshire Terrier, Shih Tzu, Border Collie and Boxer as his top 6 breeds. - Loving, outgoing, active, sweetheart who loves snuggles - Confident, charismatic, adventure pup in the making! - Higher energy pup, but then he crashes out for naps. - Knows sit, recalls well and has learned to walk on leash. - Fostered with other dogs and getting lots of positive interactions with adult dogs - Does well on car rides in his crate. No car sickness noted and he settles down for the ride. - Crated at night in his foster parent's bedroom and is mostly quiet and sleeps through the night. - His foster mom works from home and he is happy to be near her or napping on his dog bed while she works. - Likes to fetch and brings the ball back pretty well most times. - Does well for baths and has also had nail trims but is wiggly for them. Cody has had three rounds of vaccines and dewormer, is microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery when he is 6 months old at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $400 adoption fee Fostered in Newberg, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT CODY ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Ziggy is a darling little special needs Chihuahua girl who came to us from California. She is incredibly loving and a little lap dog with her foster mom. - Estimated date of birth is 3/13/23 and Ziggy is 7 pounds - Good with other dogs and we prefer small dogs in her future home just because Ziggy is so dainty and she has an old, healed pelvic injury. - Fostered with a cat and can be calm around the cat but has moments where she chases the cat so we think a cat free home may be best. - Does well left home alone in her gated pen area with her bed - Cuddly, affectionate and loves her foster mom a lot. She enjoys attention from the other members of the family including teenagers but does tend to default to her foster mom. - Can be reserved with new people and a little barky as is common with a lot of small dogs but she warms up quickly with treats! - Doing well with her potty habits but does need structure and supervision as many small dogs do. MEDICAL: Ziggy suffered a pelvic fracture that healed quite a while ago before we got her. The pelvic fracture caused her hind leg muscle to detach from her pelvis. Her hip joint is intact and uninjured. Ziggy has been evaluated by an orthopedic specialist and they believe she can have a good quality of life leaving her leg as is. She does have a wonky gait but she is pain free and does use it for mobility at times. Amputation is the other option but the vet feels it is not necessary. While Ziggy may not be a hiking partner, she enjoys walks, playing in the yard and gets around well. Her hind leg just is somewhat inhibited. Ziggy will be spayed March 4th. She is vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Tualatin or Milwaukie. $250 adoption fee Fostered in NW Portland, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT ZIGGY ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Bruno is a six-pound, two-year and six-month old Chihuahua mix. He is very cuddly and affectionate; he stares lovingly into your eyes while he sits in your lap. Bruno takes to women well but has a bad reaction to men. He is a good walker but barks at dogs and people. Ongoing training is a good idea. He does not like my cats but gets along with dogs. I`m not sure how he does with children, but since he is six pounds I would be cautious with children under eleven. In the home Bruno will bark at people coming to the door and outside noises to warn you. I don`t think he would be good in an apartment. Right now he should have access to a fenced yard until his training is further along. While Bruno appeared to be housetrained the first two fostered weeks, he has had a setback and is now being retrained.. To meet Bruno please fill out the application on OFOSA.ORG He is fully vetted and adoption fee is $320.00.

Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option.
