Story
Peanut is 7 years young, 21lbs, and has a lot of get up and go! She loves, loves, loves to go on walks and gets so excited when her harness and leash come out. She also loves to go for car rides and likes to look out of the window or stare adoringly at her human. Peanuts favorite place in the home is on the back of the sofa, looking out of the picture window, watching the world go by. She is an agile little girl, even though she is still a little plump. She has been taught to use ramps so she doesn't hurt herself jumping down. Peanut is a shy dog on first meeting and gets a little nervous if you reach out to her before she is ready. If you are patient and sit down, she will come to you. Once she knows you are safe, she will then start pestering you for pets and cuddles. She warms up pretty quickly if you take her for a walk first. Peanut does have special needs. She came into rescue with a bladder full of stones. She has since had surgery to remove them. However, to prevent them recurring she will need to be on a special diet for life. She will also require a vet visit once a year. Fortunately she likes the food and she doesn't eat much. 1/2 cup a day. Peanut is good with other dogs and cats. We do not recommend her in a home with small children as their fast and eratic movements will scare her. She would be great for someone who wants a lap dog, but still enjoys a brisk walk or two a day. Someone who will make sure she stays on her diet. Peanut is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is potty trained and knows how to use a dog door. She is a quiet dog, although if her BFF Tiki starts to bark at a noise its possible she will join in to show her support. MEET JERSEY & JET! This bonded pair of Chihuahuas/Chiweenies need a foster or forever home! They were rescued from a crowded California shelter, and they are very bonded. Jet is a 1-year-old male and Jersey is a 6-year-old female (per the shelter paperwork). Jersey could be his mom. We would love to find a home for them together. They are loving, affectionate and amazing dogs who deserve the very best home together. They are currently still in California (just rescued), but can be transported to Oregon or Washington. They each weigh about 16 lbs. Please email for an application.

MEET PEARLY! This sweet & quiet 5-year-old Chihuahua girl needs a home! Pearly was rescued from a California shelter, and is now in a foster home. She loves people, and gets along great with other dogs. She would make a wonderful dog for a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. She'd also do well with someone who is retired and wants a lap dog! Pearly weighs about 13 lbs. and is a wonderful size. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET MILO & OSCAR! These sweet 2-year-old bonded brothers need a foster or forever home! Milo & Oscar were rescued about a year ago from a California shelter, and they are now in Washington State. They were adopted but are losing their home due to unforeseen circumstances (no fault of their own), and we are currently looking for a foster or forever home for them. Both dogs are extremely affectionate and like to be on someone’s lap or to be petted or scratched. They’re both great with new people, and they love everyone. Milo & Oscar also follow commands such as sit, stay, and come. They’re very good about coming when called. Oscar, who is about 21 lbs., is a bit more athletic and will be the first to race outside and explore the yard. Milo, who is about 13 lbs., is more playful, loves to play with his toys (and sometimes destroys them), and is almost always the first to instigate playing with Oscar. They’re both very good about having their nails trimmed and getting brushed. Neither likes getting a bath too much, though! They are also crate-trained and they sleep close together at night.
