Odin 7 mos, neutered male, 12 lbs Chihuahua Pug mix   LIKES: Going on a couple daily walks. Odin is a Velcro dog who enjoys being with his person whenever possible. He enjoys chew toys especially bones but he will play fetch indoors or outdoors.    DISLIKES: Odin doesn't like to be in a crate, and is vocal but calms down after you leave. He doesn't like to be in the yard unless someone is with him.   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Odin is a friendly, bouncy, playful, sweet, loving, Velcro pup that is treat motivated and learns quick.   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: He is doing well in his foster home with regular opportunities to go outside.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: He would rather sleep/be with you. But he is crated when left unsupervised in his foster home, and he calms down when his person leaves.   EXTRAS/MISC.: He is a playful and athletic and his foster suspects he has a sighthound in his family tree. He is snuggly with humans, and loves a good blanket and lap. He is full of energy and need room to run whether in a yard or with regular daily walks. LIKES: Playing, and cuddling, giving love nibbles, and being underneath the blankets. DISLIKES: Sharing food/toys. He also seems a little intimidated by bigger dogs. CRATE TRAINING: He is crate trained. He doesn't whine and can be crated for a while during the day. POTTY TRAINING: He is doing well in his foster home, using the crate to help him at night and regular trips outside. OTHER/MISC: Malcom would be Ok as the only dog in the house as long as he has regular exercise. Unknown with cats. Malcom has some territorial aggression that would need to worked on through training if adopted to a home with another dog, especially around food and high-value toys such as bones. Meet Chui! Chui (pronounced Chewy) came to us alongside his lifelong buddy, Luna. These two have been together since they were young, and after spending most of their lives outdoors in unsanitary conditions, they’re finally getting to experience what it feels like to be safe, clean, and truly cared for. We would love to see Chui enjoy this next (and sweetest) chapter of his life with the friend who’s been by his side through it all.   Chui is a gentle, tender-hearted little guy who loves easy strolls, soft beds, and long naps. Since arriving, he’s had a full veterinary workup, including a much-needed dental and surgery to repair a fractured jaw. He does have a low-grade heart murmur and some early kidney changes, so a kidney-friendly diet may be recommended down the road—but otherwise, he’s doing wonderfully.   He has done well with other polite, small dogs here at the rescue, though he’s not a fan of young, rambunctious pups. At this time, we’re seeking a home where Chui and Luna can stay together and finally enjoy the comfort and companionship they’ve always deserved.   Keep an eye on our Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! Story
We need to rehome our 7 year old, 15lb corgi/pomeranian dog. Her name is Ruby and she is a very lovable dog who would love nothing more than snuggling and playing fetch all day. She's super athletic and loves to run, and be around adults. We have had her in our family for 5 years. I don't know her full history. She obeys extremely well and knows basic commands. She loves car rides and adventures. She is a very happy dog but doesn't really like other dogs or cats, although, I have seen her play with male dogs. She's quite territorial with her food and will attack our other dog and cat if they get near her food. My co-worker also said she doesn't do well with kids. We have tried for 5 years to assimilate her into our family, and for the most part, it has gone well, however I feel she would be better in a home without other animals. Please reach out if you're looking for a fun, loving, athletic, attentive dog and if she would be your only pet. Thank you!
