Story
Lahu was found as a stray and pulled from the Government shelter by a local rescue in South Korea. Lahu is 7 year old, male, 9 lb Chihuahua mix. He is very sweet, good with dogs, ignored cats, and simply needs a family of his own. Poor Lahu was found to have bilateral patella luxation grade 3 and he received the orthopedic surgery. Lahu has recovered from his surgery. Lahu needs some positive in his life even though he is doing very well in foster. A forever home would make his day as this boy so deserves it! If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Dandy Age: About 4.5 Months Old Gender: Male (Neutering Scheduled) Breed: Chihuahua Mix Color: Brown and Black Weight: 4.5kg / 10lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I came from the city shelter— a place where my time was almost up. I didn’t understand what “euthanasia” meant, but I could feel the stillness, the waiting, the uncertainty. And then, just in time, someone saw more than my situation— they saw me. Since that day, I’ve been holding onto this second chance with a soft, grateful heart. Now I’m ready to start a second chapter of my life with a loving family to call my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutering Scheduled & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Dandy Hi, I’m Dandy, a tiny dog with 100% pure joy. I walk through life like I own it — happy, bold, and ready for anything. I’m bright, playful, and endlessly entertaining. I’m the kind of dog who just makes you laugh! I LOVE toys. I really love them. And snacks? Even better. I have a lot of energy — I play hard, run around, get super excited… and then do it all over again. I’m confident, adaptable, and ready to learn quickly. With a bit of structure and training, I’ll grow into an amazing, fun-loving companion. I am pure happiness in dog form. If you’re looking for a dog who will fill your home with laughter, energy, and nonstop joy, you’ve found the one!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a people-loving little soul. Whether you’re someone I know or someone I’m meeting for the first time, I’ll happily come up to you, lean in, and gently rub against you like we already belong together. I’m very easy to pet — and I truly enjoy every bit of affection. You can even scoop me up with your arms under my belly, and I’ll stay relaxed in your arms, just happy to be close to you. I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I may just need gentle introductions and a bit of time. · With Dogs: When it comes to other dogs, I just love making friends. Whether we’ve met before or not, I’ll happily walk up, say hello, and invite them to play. I have a naturally warm and social personality, and I truly enjoy sharing playful, happy moments with other dogs. · With Cats: I’ve had a chance to live with a cat before for about a month, so I’m not completely new to sharing a home with cat friends. I’ve experienced what it’s like to live together.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy going out for walks and exploring, and once I’ve had my time outside, I’m happy to rest quietly by your side. On walks, I’m still learning. I’ll need a bit of guidance and training to walk nicely, but I’m ready to grow and figure it out.   TRAINING & HABITS When it comes to food, I’m very relaxed with people — you don’t have to worry about me guarding anything. But if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a small growl. I just like having my space during mealtime. Sometimes, when I want something, I’ll let you know with a little bark — just my way of talking to you. I’m also flexible with potty habits — I can use both indoor pads and go outside, depending on the routine we build together.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m still learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I’ll need a bit of guidance and training during walks, but I’m eager to learn and improve every day. With patience, consistency, and a little teamwork, I’ll grow into a wonderful walking companion. If you’re someone who enjoys guiding and growing together,I think we could be a perfect match    DANDY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2701015##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Charong Age: 5 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix Color: Black & white Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. I’m not sure how I ended up abandoned and alone—I was found wandering around an apartment complex before being taken to the shelter. Now that I’m safe, I’m ready to find my forever family!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed with no known health issues Received dental cleaning in October 2025   MY PERSONALITY When you meet me, you’ll see what a handsome girl I am—I look like I’m wearing a little tuxedo, like a true girl boss! I’m a very energetic pup who loves going for walks and exploring the world. I adore people and thrive on human companionship—being close to my humans is one of my absolute favorite things!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people! I love greeting everyone and receiving pets and affection. You can easily pick me up and I like to show my belly a lot as a sign of trust. I am very affectionate with volunteers and staff and · With Dogs: I love playing with dog friends, but I have a very energetic, sometimes pushy play style—so I do best with dogs who can match my energy. I can be a bit too much for calmer or senior dogs. I also get jealous when other dogs get affection, so I’d be happiest as the only dog in the home where I can soak up all the love! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is still to be determined. When I see them on walks, I might watch with curiosity for a moment, but I quickly lose interest and continue on my way..   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I’m a fun, moderate energy girl who loves adventures! I enjoy outdoor time to explore, and play and I can settle happily indoors. Once I’ve had my exercise, I turn into the sweetest, cuddliest companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash overall, though I can pull when I’m excited or want to go a certain direction, so I’ll benefit from continued leash training. I don’t guard my food with people, but I can get protective around other dogs, so separate mealtimes are best. I’m very food-motivated and have a big appetite—sometimes I even try to sneak food from the table—so I’ll need some consistent guidance with manners. I already know basic commands like sit, and I rest calmly in my kennel. I may bark when I want attention, and I can mark a bit when I’m adjusting to a new environment. If I join a home with another dog, slow introductions are important since I can come on a little strong at first. With patience and structure, I’ll settle in beautifully!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a fun, structured, and safe environment. A family that understands my high energy needs and willing to guide me with patience so I learn to be more patient and calmer. A family that understands my love for food & helping me become more patient when other dogs are nearby. Ideally home as a single dog A family that will cherish me and spend lots of outdoor & indoor time together.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a super sweet, friendly girl who absolutely adores people! I know my forever family is out there waiting for me. I’m considered a level 1 rescue dog, which means I adapt quickly and settle easily into new environments—just give me a little love, and I’ll feel right at home.   Charong's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2579663##

QUICK FACTS Name: Ttuji Age: Around 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix Color: Brindle Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not quite sure how I ended up all alone, wandering the streets by myself. Thankfully, kind rescuers noticed me and brought me to safety at a city pound. Because of limited space, I was sadly placed on the euthanasia list—but my story didn’t end there. I was rescued just in time and given a second chance at life. Now, those uncertain days are behind me, and I’m ready to find my forever family and start a bright, happy new chapter filled with love.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m super, super adorable—tiny in size and perfectly pocket-sized, which makes me very easy to bring along on adventures! I love being close to my people and feel safest when I can lean into you or be held in your arms, especially if I’m feeling a little unsure. I get along well with both dog and cat friends too! Underneath my slightly shy exterior, there’s a goofy, playful side waiting to come out—and I have a big appetite to match!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m great with people and love greeting everyone I meet, soaking up all the affection and gentle pets. I can be a little shy at first, so I do best with a calm, gentle approach and kind words. Once I feel safe, I warm up quickly and tend to form sweet little bonds with people who show me love. I’ll gently take treats from your hand and I generally feel more comfortable around women. I also allow myself to be picked up, and once I’m comfortable, I’ll happily show my belly for extra snuggles. · With Dogs: I’m great with my dog friends too! I generally get along best with dogs of my size or smaller, and I enjoy their company a lot. Even if another dog is being a bit pushy or rude, I prefer to calmly walk away and avoid any conflict. I also take comfort in having dog friends around and often look to them for a little extra emotional support. · With Cats: I’m great with cats too! I’ve previously lived with a cat in my foster home and got along very well. With thoughtful introductions and a little time to settle in, I believe I would do just fine in a home with cats.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate to high energy level and love getting out to explore my surroundings—walk time is one of my favorite parts of the day! I enjoy taking in all the sights and smells and staying curious about the world around me. After I’ve had my fun and adventure, I’m more than happy to settle down and snuggle up close with you for some cozy, relaxing time.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners and getting better every day. Sometimes sudden loud noises can startle me, and I may lie flat on the ground until I feel safe again, but with patience and reassurance, I’m continuing to build my confidence. I have lovely manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs. I’m a quiet girl who rarely barks and I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I can get a little car sick at times, but I’m otherwise doing great with my routines. I’m also well on my way with my potty habits and can use both indoor pee pads and go outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally a home with another dog or cat sibling but not an absolute requirement • A family who understands my shy nature and is willing to be patient and supportive as I continue to build confidence and come out of my shell   SPECIAL NOTES I may seem a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly and love showing my goofy, playful side once I feel comfortable. I have a big appetite, which makes me eager to please and fun to train. With the right family, I know I’ll grow into a loyal and loving companion. When I feel unsure, being held close helps me feel safe—and in those moments, I build trust quickly and find so much comfort in being with you.   Ttuji's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com   ##2689879##

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster homeHi… I’m Ttoro 💛 I’m a 2-year-old boy, a tiny Chihuahua weighing just 3kg. I may be small, but I have a big heart—especially for my person. I was rescued just before it was too late, and for the past 6 months, I’ve been living in a foster home where I’ve learned what love feels like. Because of that, I’ve grown very attached to my person. I do like people… I really do. But sometimes, if someone I don’t know suddenly tries to touch me, I can get scared and react. It’s not because I’m mean— it’s because I’m trying to protect myself… and the person I love. The good news is, I’ve already been working on this, and I’ve gotten much calmer and better. If you give me a little time and don’t rush me, I’ll start to understand that I’m safe with you too. I get along okay with other dogs, but when it comes to food… I can be a little sensitive. Sometimes I worry someone might take it, so I might grumble a bit. (But if the other dog is bigger than me… I suddenly become very polite 😅) More than anything, I bond deeply with one person. And when I do, I want to stay close and protect them. That’s why I’m looking for someone who can love me in a calm and steady way— not too overwhelming, not too fast. Someone who will respect my space at first, let me come closer on my own, and gently show me the world is a safe place. If you understand small dogs like me—especially Chihuahuas— you’ll know that we love deeply, we just need trust to grow first. The good thing is… I’ve already lived in a home before. So I think I can adjust again pretty well, especially if you’re patient with me. I may be a little shy in the beginning, but once I choose you… I’ll be your tiny shadow, your loyal little guardian, your forever companion. Will you be my person? 💛
