Story

Ben is apx 1.5 year old and 17.5 pounds. He was found as a stray. Ben is a bit of a scaredy cat but not totally feral. He does need some work though. He never bites or acts aggressive typically but we did have to muzzle him at the vets office. He was very afraid. Be has lived a rough life on the streets and he just needs to gain some confidence and be socialized more. He is not great on a leash and harness but gets a bit better once he knows his people and surroundings. A fenced yard will be needed. He is great with other dogs and would do best with other happy social dogs to teach him the ropes of the good life. His foster does not have cats so we are not sure about cats. Older children are ok but toddlers may be a bit much at the moment. Ben barks at strangers . Ben needs someone patient, kind and willing to work with him on some of his baggage, but it does not take him long to make friends and he is very sweet and loving once he does. Bonnie is also ready to come to Canada. Experienced adopters only. Bonnie is approximately five years old and 12 pounds. She is a Chiweenie. She needs an EXPERIENCED adopter. Bonnie is a sweet and quiet girl that is very scared and submissive but not at all feral. She is never aggressive, never bites or growls or runs away but she is lacking a lot of confidence. Bonnie cowers and is scared when you try to pick her up and hold her. She will squirm very hard to get down. But if you are sitting she comes to you, she army crawls to you, shakes and puts herself in a little ball next to you to pet her. I think Bonnie has been severely abused. Maybe even thrown and that is why she is uncomfortable being picked up. It is really sad because she wants love so badly but is afraid of giving it. She is tense a lot and scared and always has these big eyes afraid of the “whats next” Bonnie is aloof to the cats and although she is fine with other dogs, she does not really play with other dogs or lay next to them. She kind of just ignores them and does her own thing. Bonnie was found as a stray. We do not know what her life was like before she came here, but we do know that mentally she needs a lot of rehabilitation, kind words of affirmation, a gentle hand and a soft voice. She needs a routine and to feel secure and loved . I know there is a special someone out there to give her the security she needs. No small children please. She will need a secured yard. Currently in ANCASTER Buffy is a female little mix of we don’t really know. She looks a little like a Chihuahua/beagle/dachshund/pug/corgi/Shepherd got shrunk in the dryer 🤷‍♀️ She is short, chunky, cute, has a little speck of blue in one eye, a curly tail, and a very goofy personality. Buffy is apx 6-8 months old and 10 pounds. We are guessing she will be about 20 pounds fully grown Buffy loves other animals, kids, and likes to meet new people. She is a great mix of playful and cuddly. She loves being cuddled, held and doted upon, but she also loves to play and plays well with all other dogs. She was rescued here in pleasanton . Buffy is not a huge fan of the crate and The first day or two here, she did have some anxiety but after day two she settled in just fine. If her new family can just give her a couple days of grace, I promise she will calm down and get used to your new routine .
