Story
Luma is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Luma does have a cherry eye, but she will be having that removed on June 20th. Luma and her sister Rosalina were owner surrenders. Luma is an all around good girl. Apx 6-7 years old and a chunky overweight 16.5 pounds. Luma needs to be on diet and get exercise. Luma rarely barks. She walks well on leash, she is potty trained, is great with cats, kids and dogs. She is good in the car and has an overall great demeanor. Her and her sister were very nervous when they first came in, but they are opening up more and more every day. Luma is playful and silly at times and more confident than her sister. She is very friendly and although this chapter of her life has been difficult, the best is yet to come and we know that there is a great family out there for Luma. We will send updated photos of her fantastic new look next week Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
PACO TACO is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Paco Taco is apx 2-4 years old and 9.6 pounds. He is a bit of a handful but the most loving boy you will ever find. Have you ever dreamed of having a man that was obsessed with you? Well let me introduce you to Paco, he will probably try to take a shower with you. LOL Paco is a velcro dog and he does have some separation anxiety. Paco Taco is actually quiet once he can’t see you, like if you go to work, he stays quiet and calm until your return, he only cries for a few moments when you leave then settles down. However, if you are home and he can not get to you, such as a shut door, kennel, baby gate, that is when the show starts. The tears, whining and crying is an entire theatrical performance. He’s a big baby. Paco walks well on leash. He has okay potty manners but did mark a couple times when he first arrived, but has not marked again in a while. He holds his potty all night. We do have some natural anti-anxiety medication we can send with him on transport. Oddly enough, he does ok in the car. He is good with cats and female dogs but not the best with dominant male dogs. He wants to be the king of the house. He would do fine with well mannered older children. Paco Taco takes a little patience but he sure will love you past the moon and look at you like you hung the stars. 🌟 Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
MOLLY is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Molly is apx 10 months to a year old and 7 pounds. She is a little on the thin side and should probably be 7.5-8. She is tall and slender. Molly has a leg that was previously broken but is now completely healed and she bares full weight on it. This is an old injury before coming to TXCR confirmed by the previous shelter vet staff that had her. She runs, plays and has normal mobility. Molly is wonderful with all animals, people and well mannered older children, however, use caution as she does have little toothpicks for legs. Molly is very very sweet, cuddly, loving, not overly hyper or barky, walks on leash, very social, loves attention and to be held. She is an all around wonderful little girl. She does play but is a very gentle player, more submissive and really gets along with all animals of all ages. She bonds quickly with her people and is an absolute little love bug. Story
TIC TAC is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Tic Tac (aka Ticky) is a gorgeous boy, apx 1.5 - 2 years young and 10 pounds. He is a beautiful color. Tic Tac came from a terrible hoarding case in Caldwell county with over 100 dogs. Rescues all over the state chipped in to assist placing these dogs. We took in four dogs from this tragic situation. Ticky is an odd duck, but really who can blame him, his life before coming to us had to be horrible. He was neglected, starving, probably always having to be fighting for his life. Never a safe place to sleep or eat, never a real home, not ever learning to trust humans and not ever getting the love he so deserves. Ticky has a way to go, but we are confident he will be a shining star and given some love, time and patience, he will certainly be your baby boy, stealing your heart and your covers. Ticky is not aggressive, he is just very shy. He will growl a bit when he is scared but doesn't acts on it and he does not bite. We did his bath, nails and vaccines with no issue. We got him into the vets and he was such a good boy. He is just weary of people and a bit standoffish. We do have to corner him to pick him up he does not just willingly come running over to you for attention, but we are working with him every single day. He does actually like little pets on the head once he is comfortable with you and knows you. Once you actually pick him up, you can tell he greatly enjoys the attention and even gives little kisses. He is NOT good at walking on leash and harness so he will need a fenced in yard or penned area to go potty in. Ticky is young, loving and has a big heart. He really wants love and attention, he is just terrified of his own shadow. Ticky is quiet, soulful and has a gentle demeanor about him. He is great with dogs and cats however, we ask no small hyper children. He needs a home with an open mind and open heart so he can start to heal.
