Story
Introducing the darling Jennifer, a petite 2-year-old Chihuahua-Jindo mix weighing in at a delightful 10 kilograms. This precious pup has quite the story to tell, having been rescued from a kill shelter alongside her precious puppies. Jennifer is what you might call a “people person” in the canine world. She adores meeting new friends and welcomes them with open paws, allowing even strangers to lavish her with pets and cuddles. In fact, she’s quite the social butterfly and doesn’t mind being carried around like the little queen she is. And oh, don’t even get her started on belly rubs – she’s practically an expert at melting hearts with her irresistible display of a soft, fluffy belly begging for attention. Having been a devoted mom to her puppies, Jennifer has learned the art of sharing and getting along swimmingly with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She’s a true peacemaker, always opting for a calm and collected approach when there’s a sniff of conflict in the air. Whether it’s a boisterous playmate or a gentle giant, Jennifer is all about spreading harmony and love in the doggy world. When it comes to cats, Jennifer’s curiosity might pique when she spots a stray feline on her walks. But fear not – her focus remains firmly on her trusted handler, ensuring that she stays on track and doesn’t get too distracted by those mysterious creatures with whiskers. Now, Jennifer may tend to pull a bit on the leash when she’s overcome with excitement on her adventures. But fear not, for she quickly settles down once she’s had a chance to take in the sights and sounds of her surroundings. And as for those tear stains? Well, it seems that chicken might be the culprit, but a little TLC and a carefully tailored diet will have her sparkling like the gem she truly is. This charming canine companion is seeking a forever family who can shower her with plenty of love and affection, along with a dose of tranquillity to match her serene disposition. If you believe Jennifer is “the one” for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to her devoted team. She’s ready to sprinkle your life with endless joy and puppy kisses! 🐾

Story
Bebe is a lovely dog who was rescued from the streets after giving birth to her adorable puppies. Although she was shy at first, she quickly warms up to new friends, especially when treats are involved! She’s great with children under 13, and you can easily carry her without any fuss. Bebe enjoys saying hello to other dogs, but she’s more inclined to play with those who match her gentle energy level. She prefers calm, well-mannered companions over hyperactive pups. Having lived with cats for about eight months, Bebe is perfectly comfortable around them and doesn’t mind their presence at all. With a moderate energy level, she loves going for walks and is a pro on the leash. After her strolls, she’s happy to curl up and snooze the day away. Bebe is non-aggressive with her food and toys, and if she needs something, she’ll simply bark to let you know. She’s also great in a crate during car rides and knows how to hop in and out of vehicles, as long as they’re not too high for her. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion, Bebe would love to meet you!

Story
Meet Minty: Your Future Best Friend! About Minty: Minty is a sweet and gentle 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who has come a long way from her days in a municipal shelter. We don’t know much about her past, but her initial fear and distrust indicate she might have had a tough start in life. When she was first rescued, she was shaking and scared, unsure of the world around her. Personality: Minty is a loving and loyal companion once she gets to know you. Although she was initially wary of both men and women, with time and patience, she has learned to trust and even show affection to her caretakers. She is a bit of a shy girl, especially around men, and may take a while to warm up to new people. However, with gentle and understanding handling, she blossoms into a loving and loyal friend. Living Situation: Minty currently lives in a kennel in Turkey, but she’s ready to find her forever home. She can coexist with cats, though she’s a bit timid around them. She would do best with a submissive and calm dog companion if there’s another dog in the home. Favorite Things: Minty absolutely loves her treats! They are the key to her heart and can help in building trust and bonding with her. Ideal Home: Minty needs a patient and understanding family who can give her the time she needs to adjust and feel safe. Because of her fear of men, she might do better in a household with women or with very gentle and patient men. A calm and peaceful environment would be perfect for her, where she can feel secure and loved. Adoption Requirements: A patient and understanding adopter A calm household Gentle handling and care Preferably a female adopter or very patient males Submissive and calm dog companions (if any) Willingness to give Minty the time she needs to trust and settle Minty can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when she finds her forever home! If you think you can offer Minty the loving and secure home she deserves, please apply; https://www.cheers2paws.org/dog-adoption-form

Beyond this there is no background information. Willy is just a bundle of puppy energy. Loving beyond words, adoring everything and all people. He was born in September of this year so is a youngster and acts like one. Active and busy describe his character best. He adores the outdoors so a backyard that is fully fenced is a must. No apartments or condos please. He is self entertaining but one does need to keep an eye on him as he is a puppy with a desire to investigate. Inside he does loves toys, especially crinkle or squeaker ones. He tends to collect them and stash them in several favourite spots. When it is down time, he will snuggle on your lap or a doggy bed to recoup his energy for the next round. Willy is not yet leash trained. A crate is only provided for nighttime sleep. He is quiet until he hears the morning rumblings of the household. He eats his kibble with gusto, currently three times a day. Continuing encouragement is needed for learning to potty outside. He can be a companion to another fun-loving dog or can be on his own as long as his people are home with him and engage him in activities. If you have lots of time and energy to give to Willy, he will undoubtedly keep up with you. He is a self-assured little dude that will bring joy to his permanent home companions.  Questions? Story
Bobby / Male / 2.5 years old / 15 lbs / Chihuahua Mix / Good with Dogs / No cats please / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto ** Follow Bobby’s journey on Instagram @fosterthedogss ** Meet Bobby! Bobby came to us from Mexico and is ready to find his forever home. Bobby is described by his fosters as sweet, curious and playful. He loves to go for walks, play with his stuffed animals and cuddle up on the couch. Bobby is a perfectly portable companion, weighing in at a light 15lbs, with his expressive ears making up 75% of his body weight! Bobby is loving to his trusted humans. He looks to them for reassurance when he is feeling nervous. With new people, Bobby is curious, but can be a bit apprehensive and vocal. He will take time to warm up. Bobby is good at taking his space until he feels comfortable. Bobby has not met children, but given his size and personality we think he would do well with respectful, dog-savvy children. Bobby is looking for a home in a quieter area, as loud noises can make him nervous. High traffic, busier neighbourhoods would take him longer to feel comfortable in. Bobby is adaptable and would do well in any type of home, whether a house with a yard, or an apartment. As long as he has his humans and access to green space, Bobby will do great. Bobby is very dog social, especially with dogs his size. He loves to meet other dogs on walks and gets very excited to see them. Bobby would benefit from a canine sibling to help his confidence and to have a playmate. Bobby has not been introduced to cats yet, but given his love of squirrels we think it is bets for him to be in a cat free home at this time. Bobby is on the lower side of medium energy and will need at least two walks daily as well as some canine enrichment. Bobby walks well on leash, but can be nervous of large vehicles and loud noises. He loves to explore the neighbourhood and take in all the smells. When in the house, Bobby loves to play with his toys, and is learning the enjoyment of enrichment. Bobby has been making great progress with his house manners. He is crate trained, potty trained and working in his commands. His new family should be prepared to continue his training and support him with any regressions while he gets used to his new home. Bobby loves treats, so will be an easy candidate to work with. If you’re interested in adopting Bobby, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Bobby’s adoption fee is $850. Story
Wilfred came to us from a local shelter after being found as a stray. He may have had a rough start, but this delicate soul is full of love and resilience. Due to a medical condition, Wilfred had to have both of his eyes removed, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He still enjoys long walks and is always ready to share his affection! Wilfred has also been diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus, a condition caused by a hormone imbalance. This is easily managed with a pill he takes twice a day, and he’ll need yearly check-ups with his vet to ensure everything is in order. Though he’s shy at first, once Wilfred gets to know you, he’ll recognize your voice and scent anywhere, happily following your lead. He’s a classic lap dog, content with a good chin scratch and a cozy snuggle. Wilfred would thrive in a calm and loving home, preferably with teens or adults who understand his needs. He also gets along well with other gentle and easygoing dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s overcome the odds and is ready to give all his love, Wilfred is your guy!
