Story
LITTLE BIT Hi there, I'm Little Bit, your soon-to-be best gal pal! I'm a 4-year-old Chihuahua/Papillon mix with a soft white and beige coat as fluffy as your coziest blanket. I've had a bit of a rough go recently, losing the only home I ever knew, but I'm ready to start fresh with someone who will love me forever. Here's the scoop about me: A Little Shy, A Lot of Love: I might seem cautious at first, but give me a little time, and I'll warm up faster than a pup in a sunny spot. Doggy Buddy Approved: I enjoy the company of other pups and would love a furry playmate to share zoomies and snuggles with. Apartment Appropriate: Whether it's a big yard or a cozy apartment, I'm happy as long as I'm with my people. Perfect for Seniors: My sweet and gentle nature makes me the ideal companion for older humans looking for a little love in their lives. Good with Cats & Kids: I'm a versatile friend-cats, kiddos, you name it! Playful and Affectionate: I've got just the right balance of energy for fun and cuddles. This holiday season, all I want is a place to call home and a family to share my heart with. Could you be the one to make my wish come true? Ready to meet me? I have heard the sentiment, "life starts after 50..." tell me you have heard it too?? It is absolutely the truth in my life!! Technically in "dog years' I am about 56, but I think it still applies to me! Found absolute SKIN barely over bone, by a kind lady and her husband...from MINUTE ONE... MY LIFE HAD MEANING!! I mean, REAL MEANING, to EVERYONE in the rescue! I went straight to the "bosses" house where my intense started immediately! I was just so emaciated that no one thought I had a chance of survival, and they were right... except my CHANCE came and I GRABBED IT by the HORNS! So here i am about 2 months later and I am so ready for my furever and ever and ever family to adopt me and complete the circle of life. I am about 8 years old, all my teeth have rotted out, but it doesn't slow me down! I am heart worm negative and have gained so. much weight, you cannot see my bones!! I am a teeny girl with a total chi personality, I will definitely let you know who I am when we meet but when the cuddling starts...you are MINE! Adopt me soon, I am ready to live the good life with my LOVING and COMMITTED family!! Local adoption is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

I.am.LEGGO!! No, not the kind you step on in the middle of the night with many expletives!! I am the GOOD kind of Leggo :) No foot pain, all love and cuddles! I am a great boy, I came from a sad situation and I am so so glad my "mom" saved me! I was left at my foster home's gate in my crate, after her neighbor fled her abusive marriage. Apparently all of my friends (4 other dogs) were killed by the abusive husband :( and I was saved..... So, let me tell you.. I LOVE my FOSTER MOM and her DOGS and KITTIES!! And GLORY is my FAVORITE friend! We are kind of bonded and we want to be adopted into a non abusive home with a really really nice family! Glory came from a neglectful situation so she loves having me around to play with and to cuddle with and I give her confidence that she needs. We are an adorable couple and we are ready for YOU! So PLEASE adopt us!! Local adoption- together- is $400 (in TX) Out of state adoption- together- is $800 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi! I’m Joey and I’m a fabulous 14 year old senior gentleman. I don’t mean to brag, but I’m a very handsome red long-haired Chihuahua weighing just 10 lbs. I’m looking for my perfect family who will love me and provide me with a nice, quiet home in my golden years. I’m pretty happy with the simple things in life such as cuddling with my people, meal times and naps. I mean what else does one really need? If you’d like to run errands, I’m your man. I love to ride in the car and am the best little passenger you could ever have. Sometimes, though, I can get a little cranky when it comes to sharing my people with the other doggies. I would do well in a home where I’m the only dog, so the competition for mom or dad’s love won’t exist. Ideally, I would be pampered with attention in my golden years and not be subjected to youngsters, as that wouldn’t be so great for me or them. I would really love it if my new mom or dad would be at home with me more often than not, so I would not have to spend my days being left alone and crated. However, I don’t mind being crated for a couple of hours while my family runs errands. I know it might be asking a lot, but I do love sleeping in bed with foster mom at night and have become kinda spoiled, so a home that would continue to spoil me in that way would make me so happy. I’m working on potty training … let’s say I’m a work in progress. As I came from a puppy mill situation, I was not taught this skill as a young puppy, but I’m working on it now. I do have one small issue with my eyes called chronic dry eye which requires daily medication for the rest of my life. I am really very good about taking my medication for this so it is not a big deal. I am a lovable and sweet little man and would make a wonderful companion. I’m up to date on all my shots, am heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea preventative, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed. Joey’s adoption fee is $250. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you’re interested in having Joey as a part of your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Meet Todd! Todd is a 1 year old chihuahua/terrier mix, weighs 10 lbs. and is the sweetest, most loving, little guy. He would do well in a home with at least one other active and small dog (20 pounds or less), younger people (no toddlers or babies) and adults. He has a good amount of energy and likes to receive a lot of attention from his family. He also likes to play outside, therefore a fenced-in yard is a requirement. He is also learning to walk on a leash and would enjoy a daily walk to do his business. He sleeps in a large crate at night, but loves to be out and about during the day. He loves, loves, loves to sit in your lap and give kisses. He likes to vocalize his enthusiasm, and probably wouldn’t be the best candidate for apartment living. He has completed his checkup with the vet, and is ready to find his new family. He does have crystals in his urine, which are being monitored, and needs to have prescription food. Todd is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s also microchipped and dewormed. Todd’s adoption fee is $350. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little fella to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Hi, I’m Tango! I’m an 8 year old Terrier mix, weigh 12 lbs, and am a quiet little guy. My owner passed away, so I’m just staying to myself, trying to make sense of everything. I crave attention and love, and really like it when my foster mom sits and talks to me and loves on me, but I’m not really much of a lapdog. If I’m in her lap, it’s only for a brief moment and then I’m gone again. I sleep in a large crate at night, with lots of blankets and stuffed animals. I snuggle in and sleep quietly through the night. I’m enjoying chewing on bully sticks and other chewies, and playing with toys that make noise or have squeakers in them. I do like to go outside, and foster mom says that I’m a “work in progress” with my potty training. I get along well with other dogs (small dogs 20 lbs. or less), and would do well in a home with or without doggies. I do tend to vocalize quite loudly when playing, and might not do well in an apartment setting. I would do well in a home with younger people (no toddlers or babies) and adults. I would enjoy walks, and as long as I’m walked frequently and monitored on a leash, I do not require a fence. Please don’t leave me unsupervised outside; I would want your attention all the time. Since my owner passed away, I need someone who is going to re-teach me some of the rules about going potty, learning to snuggle with the family, you know…all that stuff. Tango is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s had a dental, is microchipped and dewormed. Tango’s adoption fee is $300. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little guy to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

*ADOPTION SPECIAL- REDUCED FEE $200* This is Boromir. We ran a DNA test on him which came back primarily Cattle Dog, Shih Tzu, Mountain Cur, and Border Collie. He is about 30 pounds and is close to full grown. He is 7.5 months old. Boromir came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on June 1st. He was brought to us by a Missouri shelter with his littermates. Since he has been in care, staff members say that he is sooo sweet and playful. He loves people and other dogs and will stick right by your side wherever you go. Boromir suffered a broken leg due to an accident and was on medical hold for 6 weeks while it was healing in a cast. Since removing the cast he has been doing great! His radiographs were sent to an orthopedic specialist who did not see any concerns with his leg that would cause future issues. We are happy to make him available now that he is fully healed so that he can find his forever home! The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. Learn about our adoption process here: https://judysforgottenjewells.com/adoption-process Any Questions? Email us at: judysforgottenjewellsSTL@gmail.com.
