I am looking for a foster or my furever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to say YES to fostering me! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at Tito's Handmade Vodka. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, I'm Tiny Batman and I'm from Alabama! From his foster: Tiny Batman has been going by Tito with us. I mostly call him silly pet names, so I honestly don't know if he knows any particular name right now :) Because I work from home, I have spent a lot of time with this little guy. He is full of dog love! He is also guarded and nervous around new people. He requires patience and a home that lets the dog decide when he wants attention. He will bark at sounds, new visitors, squirrels in the yard, and other dogs, but as he is building some comfort, this behavior is beginning to subside. 1. He is a very playful dog. He loves to chase a ball and he loves tug of war. He definitely sounds aggressive when he plays, so it takes some time to learn his body language when he wants to play with you. 2. We go on a daily walk and he loves it. He still wants to run in the yard several times a day. I am learning that he is not a fan of rain and you have to go outside with him to encourage him to stay out long enough to go potty. I'm guessing the snow will be similar. He can be leery of new people putting on his leash, so it might take some time for that comfort level to come. I have been using a slip lead, so no collar, and that has been fine. 3. He is mostly trained to use the bathroom outside, but he definitely had some accidents in the first week or two that he was with me-probably nerves. He still has some #2 accidents on occasion (I think it is when I take too long to leave for the walk in the morning). 4. He is very sweet and affectionate and will require a good amount of attention. 5. I have never put him in a crate in my home, but he does sleep on his own in a dog bed through the night. He will also sleep with you if you let him. 6. He likes to chew on bones and even ice. He likes to be busy when he isn't sleeping. 7. I do not have another pet in my home, so I can't say for sure how he would do in a multiple pet situation. It seems like he could be playful with other dogs, but I think a slow, calm introduction might be required. As I understand, he has been around other dogs prior to living with me. I do not know anything about his history with cats nor have I encountered any cats since having him. 8. I feel that an adults only house will be best for him. Small children certainly won't be a good fit for him. It is possible that older kids in the house could be okay. Tiny still needs training and everyone in a home will need a vested interest in his training and success. A home with lots of people in and out and lots of activity will likely stress this guy out and lead to not his best behavior. 9. He seems to do okay on car rides. I haven't tested this too much, but I have had some amount of success on a couple of car trips. 10. He loves to run in a yard, but if you just are able to get him out for walks that will likely suffice. I suppose he will want space to run around the house without a yard though. 11. A single family dwelling without shared walls is probably best. An apartment with shared hallways would be tough on this guy and shared walls might be tough on your neighbors because he is definitely vocal at times. Tiny has a history that includes a scare with a harness, which left him apprehensive about leashes. For now, he needs a fenced yard to explore freely without the pressure of a leash. With patience and love, Tiny will reward your commitment with endless snuggles and affection. Tiny is a very special dog that needs a very special home. He is the absolute sweetest companion! I have seen such growth in him in a short period of time. As he learns to feel safe in an environment, he can and will thrive. Please know that he will need time and patience and maybe a little bit of forgiveness along the way.

Hello my name is Mimi and I was surrendered along with my best friend Daisy after our owner died. Daisy and Mimi have to stay together. They are truly bonded and like to be right next to each other at all times. They are dog friendly and have spent a lot of time at boarding facilities and in large play groups. They are very social with people but we haven't seen them around kids specifically so we don't know how they'll do with really young kiddos. We also don't know how they are with kitties. They are house trained and are not big barkers. They just want a place where they can stay together after losing their owner. From their foster: Daisy and Mimi are two siblings that are a bonded pair. They spend lots of time together and will need to be adopted by the same family. They are such happy good girls. Both Daisy and Mimi enjoy going to daycare with other dogs, they are friendly with all types of dogs, so with proper introductions, they should be a good match with any other dogs (probably cats too! - although we haven't tested them). They are very small so keep that in mind. Most of the time, they are content to snuggle on the couch with one another - or the human, but they occasionally will run around and wrestle with each other or with other dogs. They are both so loving and affectionate with their humans. They love to be carried around, give kisses, and snuggled with. At first, they may be shy, but are quick to warm up with people. They are very food motivated and enjoy eating their meals in the crate. They would likely be easy to train due to this.

Story
Hi, my name is Cricket. I am from Alabama. From their foster: Hi, I’m Cricket and I’m from Alabama! Trixie and Cricket are a bonded pair so they will need to be adopted together. Trixie and Cricket’s owner passed away and they were brought to the local shelter. Trixie and Cricket are truly a dream team! They are the kindest, most affectionate little companions. Wherever you are, there they’ll be! They are quick to settle into a warm lap or lay by your feet. Cuddles and naps are their favorite pastimes. They require little more than food, love and affection. Trixie and Cricket haven’t shown much interest in going outside in the cold Minnesota winter, but I could imagine them romping outside in the summer sunshine. They are very small and will need supervision outside so that they remain safe from predators. Trixie is a bit more outgoing and rambunctious than Cricket who is light on her feet and quiet as a ninja. Together they make a great pair and they both have friendly temperaments. They have both had a “glow-up” since joining their foster. Trixie way spayed, had an abscess removed on her cute little tail, and had a full dental cleaning that resulted in 24 decaying teeth being pulled. She is now happy as a clam with the 4 teeth she has left. I swear she has the ability to smile and has a little raccoon in her. Her foster calls her a little woodland critter! Cricket was spayed and had a small mammary mass removed at the same time. She was such a trouper and we were glad to find out that the mass was benign. Cricket is so delicate and gentle and there is nothing better than watching her prance around happily. Cricket and Trixie have been both enjoying wet dog food and are currently working on potty training using puppy pads since they do not enjoy the cold. They haven’t met any children, but seem to be good tempered and would probably do well with children who were gentle with them. They get along well with the dogs they have met, but are pretty tiny so they need to be careful when bigger dogs want to play. They haven’t met a cat yet. The ideal owner for Trixie and Cricket would be around the home-front a lot, maybe working from home or retired. They would be ready to give love to two beautiful and resilient little girls and deserve to live the good life. When you wake up in the morning to their sweet little kisses tickling your nose, you’ll surely ask yourself, “how’d I get so lucky?” From the vet team: The vet team wants my future adopter to know that I have a grade 2/4 MPL (Medial patellar luxation). This is not causing me any issues at the moment so my future adopter should monitor with a primary vet. I recently had a mammary mass removed which came back as non-cancerous and a small mass on the top of my head evaluated. It is recommended my future adopters follow-up with my primary vet if it changes in size and monitor for any future mass development.

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Reagan, aka Willow, is a delightful girl looking for her forever home. She’s fully house and kennel trained, never has accidents, and is vocal about her needs. While initially shy, she blossoms into an affectionate and loyal companion with a little patience. Reagan loves to cuddle and has a unique talent for following her human everywhere without being underfoot. Although she’ll happily jump onto laps and snuggle, Willow isn’t a fan of being picked up and prefers to keep her paws on the ground. Because of this, any children in her future home should be older or very respectful of a dog’s boundaries. Reagan is good with treats, making her easy to coax, and she’s adapted well to wearing her coat. This sweet girl would thrive in a home with another small dog to run and play with, and she’s ready to bring love and devotion to the right family. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. I can be shy and need the space and time to open up and shine. My ideal home would be a calm environment with a more predictable routine.  A home where someone can stay with me most of the time would make me a happy boy! There are so many great things about me! I love to snuggle, am quiet, will keep you warm in bed at night, and am a good car passenger. Once I start to get comfortable, I give the best little kisses. I am house trained on a schedule. Because I'm unsure of the outdoors, I like someone to be outside with me. I'm crated when left alone and I keep my area clean. I currently live with 3 smaller dogs and 2 cats and do well with them. I don't live with children now, but my foster parents think I'd do ok with older kids. In my foster home, I've seemed interested in stuffed toys and am working on being brave enough to play. And once I do get brave, I’ve found I also like to run!  Because of this, I do need a fenced yard.  My foster parents were so excited for me when they saw me chewing on a bone and I really enjoy doing that! If you think that we'd be a match, apply to meet me. I'd love to see if we are perfect for each other! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Buzz is a spirited 4-year-old chihuahua terrier mix with a heart full of love and a past that has shaped his unique personality. Having overcome a rough start in life, Buzz can be a little shy when meeting new people. He’ll greet you with a wagging tail, but sometimes that excitement can turn into a low growl as he navigates his insecurities. The best approach? Just ignore the growl, keep chatting, and let him warm up to you in his own time. This clever little guy is as smart as they come, though he can be quite stubborn too! Buzz has a playful spirit and adores his toys and the company of other small dogs. He’s a pro on the leash and is comfortable in his crate, making him a great companion for walks and downtime alike. Buzz is currently working on his potty training and is highly motivated by food—making him a quick learner with the right encouragement. He’s looking for a patient and understanding forever home where he can thrive and feel secure. If you’re ready to give this quirky guy a chance, Buzz is sure to fill your days with joy and love!   *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I’m Dirk!  I’m a handsome scruffy guy who is looking for a family of my very own.  I came here from a shelter in Arkansas where I found myself when my owner passed away.  I wasn’t there too long before I came to MN where I found myself in a foster home.  It took me a bit to open up to my new foster.  I was sad and confused since I had lost my home and owner.  I was lucky though that I got to come here with my sister, Mateo.  I don’t need to be adopted with her, but if you have room in your heart I’d certainly love to be adopted with her.  When we meet I’m shy with new people and need a bit to warm up.  Once I trust you though then I’m a happy guy who loves neck scratches!  I lean into them and rub against your hand like a cat with the biggest smile while I dance in excitement.  I don’t care much about toys.  I do like to run with my doggie friends outside, but I don’t like when they get to wild.  That’s when I bark at them and tell them they need to chill out.  When I’m not out with my friends I can be found chilling out at my mom’s feet or sitting in her lap getting all the good pets.  I think I’d prefer a home that’s a bit more quiet with no little kids.  I just don’t enjoy being overwhelmed by their antics.  I’d love a fenced yard where I can sit and sunbathe, but if you don’t have one that’s ok too.  I am crate, leash, and potty trained, too (on a schedule at my foster home that is!). I’m not very into food and treats, but maybe my foster mama just hasn’t found the right ones yet.  I should also probably tell you that my back legs are pretty bowlegged.  The nice doctor said I was just born that way and that since they don’t bother me or give me any pain that they are ok.  Mama says I’m perfect and I couldn’t agree more! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Spanky: The Tiny Chi with a Giant Personality!   Spanky is a 4-year-old Chihuahua who packs a lot of personality into his little frame. True to his Chi nature, Spanky loves to be in the spotlight and isn’t afraid to make his opinions known. Whether it’s deciding when it’s playtime, cuddle time, or chore time, Spanky likes to have a say—and he’s not shy about sharing it!   This spunky little guy has a playful side and enjoys romping around, but on his terms. He’s not a fan of other dogs deciding when it’s time to play, so he’d be happiest as the star of the show in a home where he can call the shots. Spanky also has a unique way of “helping” his humans around the house. He absolutely loves being held while you’re doing chores, offering his tiny but mighty presence as your most adorable assistant.   Spanky is currently being treated for a possible tick-borne disease, which may explain why he can sometimes be a bit grumpy. As his treatment continues and his pain subsides, we’re hopeful he’ll feel even better and show more of his happy, playful side. This brave little guy is already making progress and proving just how resilient he is.   Spanky thrives with humans who can appreciate his big personality, respect his boundaries, and give him the love and structure he needs to shine. In return, he’ll offer endless loyalty, laughter, and companionship.   If you’re looking for a pint-sized pup with a larger-than-life attitude and a heart full of love, Spanky might just be the perfect match for you. Are you ready to let this charismatic Chi steal your heart? Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Introducing Grandma, the 12-year-old Chihuahua Diva This sassy senior canine is quite the character! Grandma, the resident 'pawlice' of the household, loves to growl in her sleep, keeping everyone on high alert. Getting her eye meds administered requires a small army, as it takes two brave souls to wrangle this feisty furbaby because she acts like a wolverine on steroids. When it comes to walking, Grandma's approach can best be described as a stately hobble, as if she's performing a regal procession. Heaven forbid she's ever caught without her fashionable coat - the indignity would be too much to bear! Breakfast in bed is Grandma's favorite meal, and woe to the soul who dares to disturb her slumber. She's a lover of pets and cuddles, but don't be fooled - her mood can turn on a dime, and the growls and snaps come without warning. Grandma's preferred sleeping spot is under your pillow, where she can keep a watchful eye on her domain. Just be sure not to move a muscle, lest you risk squishing the delicate diva. When nature calls, Grandma will deign to be carried outside, but if you miss her subtle 'I gotta go' cues, she'll happily relieve herself right on the floor. Despite her diva tendencies, Grandma is a friendly gal, but heaven help any canine that dares to cross her. She'll put them in their place faster than you can say 'sit, stay!' Crate trained and full of personality, Grandma is a true force to be reckoned with - a tiny terror wrapped in a fluffy package. Story
Hi! My name is Mallory and I am from Missouri. **Meet Mallory!** Mallory is a stunning 7-year-old Pomeranian with a soft, fluffy coat and soulful eyes that tell a story of resilience. She came into rescue as an extremely unsocialized dog and is still learning that humans can be kind and gentle. Mallory is terrified of human contact and will freeze when approached, so she’ll need an experienced, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She may never be a cuddly lap dog, but she has so much potential to blossom in the right environment. The key to Mallory’s confidence is another dog! She thrives with a calm, well-adjusted canine companion to show her the ropes and help her feel safe. Her ideal home will have a resident dog who can be her buddy and role model. Mallory’s rehabilitation journey will require time, understanding, and love. She’ll need a quiet home without young children and a fenced yard where she can explore safely at her own pace. She’s looking for someone who sees her for who she is now and believes in the amazing dog she can become. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Mallory and provide the ongoing care she needs, she’ll reward you with the joy of watching her slowly learn to trust and enjoy life. Are you the special person Mallory has been waiting for?

Story
Hi! My name is Paradise and I am from Missouri. **Meet Paradise!** Paradise is a beautiful 10-year-old Pomeranian with a heart as big as her fluffy coat. While she’s still learning to trust the world around her, her curiosity about human contact shines through her initial fear. Paradise may not be ready for cuddles just yet, but she’s taking small, brave steps every day. Paradise came into rescue as a very fearful dog, but she’s starting to show glimpses of her sweet personality. She watches humans with cautious interest, and with time, patience, and love, she’s sure to grow more confident. Paradise needs a calm, quiet home where she can continue to learn at her own pace. She does well with other dogs and would benefit from having a gentle, well-adjusted canine friend to help her feel more secure. A resident dog can show her the ropes and help her navigate this big, scary world. Paradise’s perfect home will be one with compassionate adopters who are experienced with shy or fearful dogs. She’ll need a safe environment, a lot of patience, and someone who will celebrate every small victory with her. Are you ready to give Paradise the forever home she deserves? Watching her bloom will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
