If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  I'm a sweet, happy, and pretty chill guy that needs a patient person/family to call my own. I can be shy and need the space and time to open up and shine. My ideal home would be a calm environment with a more predictable routine.  A home where someone can stay with me most of the time would make me a happy boy! There are so many great things about me! I love to snuggle, am quiet, will keep you warm in bed at night, and am a good car passenger. Once I start to get comfortable, I give the best little kisses. I am house trained on a schedule. Because I'm unsure of the outdoors, I like someone to be outside with me. I'm crated when left alone and I keep my area clean. I currently live with 3 smaller dogs and 2 cats and do well with them. I don't live with children now, but my foster parents think I'd do ok with older kids. In my foster home, I've seemed interested in stuffed toys and am working on being brave enough to play. And once I do get brave, I’ve found I also like to run!  Because of this, I do need a fenced yard.  My foster parents were so excited for me when they saw me chewing on a bone and I really enjoy doing that! If you think that we'd be a match, apply to meet me. I'd love to see if we are perfect for each other! All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2086009##

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org.   Hola Amigos! I am Saucy from Tijuana Mexico! I came into a  rescue group in Mexico in rough shape, after being barely cared for. Luckily, they nursed me back to good health which means I got to hitch a ride to The Rescue Crew in Minnesota to find my forever home!  I am a 2 year old little gal with short legs. My mom thinks I look like a Chiweenie (Doxie/Chihuahua mix).  After all, I am from Mexico so there has to be some chi in me, right!? My foster mom thinks I have a lot of Doxie traits in my body, but also my silly loving temperament. I am currently about 15lb but could truly lose a couple. I have been eating very well since I was saved! And I do enjoy a good meal! I am ready to start a little exercise routine, but maybe we should kick off those 2025 goals when this winter thing is gone for a while!    I am super sweet and lovable. I am great with other pets, kids, and everyone I meet. I LOVE affection! Hold me, pet me, talk to me, sit with me, carry me around....it's all good stuff in my opinion! Maybe we can even sit down for family meals together and talk about our life stories. I also love to give kisses and if you are barefoot, those toes are fair game! Do you have any toys? I love to play with toys and will gladly play chase or hide and seek too! I can play with humans, and also love to engage in play with other dogs too, big or small!    I am very well behaved and enjoy being a beloved house pet. I will definitely keep you company if you need someone to follow you room to room!  I am doing great with my house training and practicing sleeping in a kennel at night, but I would be happy to snuggle under your covers with you too!   Life is really good now, and the only thing missing is you!  I can't wait to find my people and be loved and cared for in my happily ever after home.  I hope to meet you soon! These sweet boys are a bit shy at first, but with patience and understanding, they will warm up to their new family. They’re searching for a quiet environment with no other dogs, cats, or young children, as they tend to feel most comfortable in calm surroundings. Ideally, their new owner will have experience with Chihuahuas and be able to provide them with the time and space they need to build trust and confidence. If you're ready to offer these little guys a gentle, loving home, they’ll reward you with loyalty and affection as they settle in and grow more comfortable. Interested in adopting? Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Age: Approximately 4 years old Weight: 22 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Unknown/not tested Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Hi there! I'm Mr. Baker, and before I tell you about myself, I'd like to give you a great big hug. You didn't know dogs could give hugs, did you?! It's a special talent of mine. I like to put my front legs up on your shoulders and rest my head right in your neck. It's one of many ways I show my affection - my humans describe me as snuggly, affectionate, and a bit of a Velcro-dog. I like other dogs, but really, it's all about the snuggles with humans. And walks! Boy, do I love walks. With some reminders, I'm getting pretty good at not pulling on my leash, and I'm friendly and respectful when I run into other dogs or humans on the sidewalk. If you like to run, I would also make a GREAT exercise partner - I'll keep your pace, and I'd be so happy to be by your side! I also love to play with toys in the yard. Chase me! Although, I must admit, I am quite tricksy. Just when you think I'm about to give you the toy back - aha! I am off again. I am also proud to share that I am an excellent listener and am very eager to please and show how smart I am. I know "off" when it's time to get off of the bed or furniture, and I know "leave it" when that ANNOYING neighbor dog keeps barking in the backyard! I trot right back over to my humans. I am also very good at "sit," and I am practicing with "wait." I take treats so gently, you can barely even feel it! There are a few other important things do know about me. First, I can be a little anxious. You can tell when I'm more anxious because my legs get a little wibbly-wobbly. Every so often, I also like to find a rogue napkin that someone's forgotten about (or maybe my mom's student papers she brings home sometimes to grade...) and I like to rip it up into tiny little pieces. I don't chew on anything else or make a mess of things - I just like my little paper shreds. The second important thing is that I take guarding my house VERY seriously...my humans tell me a little too seriously. Together, we are practicing that it is okay when new people come into MY space and that I don't need to bare my teeth, bark, or act big and tough. I have never bitten anybody, but when I am anxious and thinking about protecting my space, I have thought about it. I will need a forever home that can continue to help me with this. I also take a medicine now that helps me with my anxiety - this helps me feel more calm. Once I get used to new people, oh my, do I love belly rubs and give those great hugs and show my affectionate side! Adoption Fee: $295  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME?
