Good with: Other dogs Not tested with: Kids, Cats House trained: Mostly, with the occasional accident Energy level: Medium Noise level: Quiet Hi! I'm Buddy and I'm the friendliest Chihuahua mix you'll ever meet. Unfortunately my last owners had to leave me behind when they moved. That was pretty sad, but I know that my forever family is out there somewhere! My foster family says that Im sweet, affectionate, loving and joyful! I like to spend my days with my people close by, on hand to give me pets whenever I want. I love to relax, and I go to great lengths to get into the best sleeping positions. My foster family calls me the wicked witch of the east because my favorite thing to do is crawl under the bed and sleep there with only my legs sticking out! Dont worry though, thats where the comparison between me and any evil characters ends (Im on Elphabas side, promise!). Im a really well-behaved pup! I'm already potty trained and crate trained, I know how to sit and walk on a leash, and I also love other dogs! My foster family says Im confident in the city, so Id do great with a family who lives downtown. Judging by how much I love the dog park, Id also love to live somewhere with a yard. Im flexible! So, if youre looking for a little munchkin to join your family, follow the yellow brick road (errred button), and apply to adopt me today! My foster guardian says: "My favorite thing about Buddy is how he jumps for joy when it's time for a walk! Story
Kobe is about five years old and has not been a bad dog for most of that five years. He is very anxious and needs lots of attention. I am unable to give him that attention given the long hours I’ve started to work and because I am in school, and I don’t feel like I can provide the stimulation he needs. Due to his anxiety he can get a bit aggressive. He shows teeth and will snap, but has not ever bit anybody. Due to the behavioral problems that I think are stemming from me not being around enough I do want to rehome him somewhere that can provide him a lot more attention and possibly the training he may need to let go of that aggression

Story
Finlay is a very special boy he is 5 years old and loves veggies. He is a fetch master and does extremely well with dogs, cats, and other exotic animals. His pray drive is non-existent. Although he is not good for kids of any age! A little about the Finster: he is a very independent boy who has a lot to say if you do something he doesn't like. Why did I get him: I got him as a train and re-home. the previous owner had him for 4 years and with his behaviors made him a dog that couldn't be dealt with especially since she has children. HOWEVER, I have been working with him for a few months and he has greatly improved. He will continue his vigorous training until a forever home finds him then the training needs to continue. He is fully house trained! His behavioral issues are being addressed but will not be able to be fully fixed so he does have to be managed. If you're a college student or a person with no kids and know dog language he's a great match for you! He is a happy Boy!

Story
Anna is a 9 year old, 10lb adorable Chug (chihuahua/pug mix) who has endured some big human turmoil recently and ended up in a Middle Tennessee shelter. Not much is known of her history, but her underweight condition indicates at least some neglect took place. A really devoted foster mom for critter.Cavalry turquoise noticed her profile in the shelter and realize that being a senior she might not be chosen very easily by the general public.  This young foster woman is making sure that Anna is gaining much needed weight slowly.  She’s starting to put on weight and enjoys her meal times-with the occasional treat of whipped cream. While she is timid at first and a little wary of quick movements, it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and become your best snuggle buddy. Anna has some spunk and can run up stairs as fast as any puppy. She seems to be good with other dogs and initiates playing, though she doesn’t know what to do with toys. She does well on a leash and going outside. She is catching on to potty training (another example of her neglected past) and we are wanting someone who works from home or is retired as she does exhibit some separation anxiety in her first week with us.  She has found the cozy comforts of warm blankets and fluffy pillows and burrows underneath.  Anna has lots of love to give and deserves  a family to spoil her.   Please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 18, 2025, 12:12 pm

Story
Prince was rescued from the streets of Ft. Worth, TX and transported to Nashville, TN  about 5 years ago. This handsome boy is 6 years old now and is a darling white Chihuahua weighing 14.5 pounds. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle and loves to burrow under a blanket at the end of the bed and sleep. He enjoys being petted, but doesn't like being picked up suddenly.  He loves to go for walks on a leash and like most Chihuahuas he loves car rides and going for adventures.  This boy, certain has certainly has his list of blue quirky, things that need to be respected and observed and left alone with.  He guards his toys and food so we don't take them away from him.  His favorite toys are toys that squeak and he is gentle with them.  Prince will do really well in a mature home of empty nesters or senior persons that are retired.  A home with young children would not be the best place for him. Young children stress him out. Prince needs someone .that understands he's a sassy Chihuahua and is willing to respect his boundaries. Someone with Chihuahua experience would be amazing!  Princess fine with other dogs and cats and a quiet home life.   He is housebroken and doesn't destroy things when home alone. Prince does have the wonderful sides to him. And the sides that need to be respected and observed. As with most small breed, dogs who can be particular.  If you would like to give this young chihuahua, a beautiful home and life where he can devote all his love and attention to you. Then please write to critter cavalry, rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  asap!!
