Story
Bean is a 3 year old teacup Chihuahua. He is sweet, loving, and absolutely adorable. He is very tiny at just over 4 pounds. He loves rubs and scratches. He does well with other dogs but is best with smaller dogs. He loves hanging out with cats. We wouldn't recommend a home with young children due to his size. Bean loves to be cuddled and prefers to be carried. He does stay right beside you if he is not in your arms. He is learning to walk while wearing a halter and is working on potty training.  He loves to play with stuffed animals. His best friend is Archie. An ideal home would be where both could live together. Bean is the embodiment of great love coming in tiny packages. ##2183970##

He prefers to be carried and will stay by your side when his halter is off. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He loves to play with stuffed animals. He loves to be with people. Story
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please email the adoption counselor:  lisastern.tr@gmail.com  and request an adoption application.  Dog's Name:   Guardo Dog ID:  GUA1124BARMN Estimated Breed :   Chihuahua Approximate Age:  5 years Approximate Weight: approx. 6 lbs  Currently Living at:  Foster Adoption Fee:  $400   DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Looking for a furry companion who will bring joy, loyalty, and endless love into your home? Guardo is the one for you! This petite Chihuahua is ready to find his forever family. Here’s a little about him:  Personality: Guardo is a spicy sweet, friendly, playful, affectionate guy who loves belly rubs and snuggling on the couch. He's always up for fun activities like short walks, playtime with little stuffed toys, or just watching TV sitting on your lap. Guardo wasn't well treated his first few years of life and therefore is slow to trust but after a few weeks of adjustment he loves to be picked up and held. He is good with dogs of any size, but we are not sure how he'll do with cats and it might take him a minute to adjust, but likely will be ok with proper introductions. He takes treats very gently, even with other dogs by his side. He can be fed with other dogs around and has no aggression or protective tendencies at feeding time. He plays with toys nicely with other dogs, but the one thing he's a little more protective of is his bone. His spiciness shines when you are trying to get him to do something he doesn't want to do, mostly getting him out of the bed! Coaxing works well (usually with treats involved), but forcing him up does not. Guardo does have a heart full of love and is sure to make every day brighter.  Training & Behavior: Guardo is already house-trained (to go outside and to a pee-pad), crate-trained, and is eager to learn more! He loves working for treats and is a quick learner. He listens well to calm correction and proper direction. He seeks guidance and is learning proper behaviors from loving people that won't harm him.   Health & Wellness: Guardo is estimated to be 5 yrs old. He is about 6 lbs and is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and ready to join a loving home. He is in great health and would love to go on short daily walks when the weather is nice.   Perfect Home: Guardo would do best in a home that has no children due to his untrusting  reactions to uncertain situations (he can get a little growly and snappy).  A mature adult-only family that has prior rescue dog experience and is calm, peaceful, and is willing to give him the time and patience he needs is the best option for Guardo. He is looking for a family that will provide lots of love, attention, treats, and positive reinforcement. Guardo's preference is to sleep in bed with you and is hoping his new family will allow him that luxury. Guardo is dog friendly, but doesn't need another dog in the home to be happy and would love it just fine if he was your one and only. If you’re looking for a loyal friend to brighten your days and share new adventures, Guardo is ready to join you! If you think Guardo could be just the right spice for your life, don't hesitate to reach out! We can’t wait to see him in his forever home. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee. Sponsor Me! Story
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please email the adoption counselor:  lisastern.tr@gmail.com  and request an adoption application.  Dog's Name:  Bart Estimated Breed :  Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age:  2 yrs Approximate Weight:  25 lbs Currently Living at:  Hatton Ranch Adoption Fee:  $400   DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Looking for a furry companion who will bring joy, loyalty, and endless love into your home? Bart is the one for you! This sweet and deserving gentleman had a rough start in life and has been waiting in the wings for awhile for his forever home. He is ready to find his forever family. Here’s a little about him:  Personality: Bart is a very energetic young man who loves to run and play, but at the end of the day, he's all about cuddling up with you on the couch to watch TV or just chill out. Bart likes the company of people as well as other dogs and cats, so if you have a full house, Bart is happy to share his love with everyone! Bart loves toys and has not met a chew toy that he has not been able to destroy - he challenges you to find one that will survive his playtime!  Training & Behavior: Bart is crate trained and housebroken, as long as he goes outside on a regular basis.  Health & Wellness: Bart came to us from a shelter in Texas with a broken left pelvis and 3 breaks in his right rear leg. We believe poor Bart was hit by a car which caused his injuries. Bart underwent surgery and has made a full recovery. His past injuries have not slowed him down, or curbed his great enthusiasm for love and life!  Perfect Home: Bart is an all around sweet guy who would work well most home environments. He is outgoing, playful, and sweet. Bart is energetic, so be prepared to give him exercise!
