Story
Freddy is a very sweet, lovable 9 year old Chihuahua that was surrendered to us due to his owner going into a nursing home. He is very active and fully housebroken. Freddy loves other small dogs at his foster home and does well with the cat. He is curious, and follows her around. Freddy loves being held and loves sleeping under the covers with his foster mom and all 6 other dogs. Freddy lived with a senior woman, so we do not know about how he is with men. He seems very well socialized. He does seem blind in one eye due to a cataract, but that doesn't stop him. He was checked by our vet who has no concerns about the eye. He is very quiet and does not bark. He will take off if he is off leash, so he needs to be leashed or on a run. He would love to be with a retired couple, or senior lady and he may benefit living with another small dog. We are not sure about big dogs. He has no separation issues or destructive behavior. He is fine with strangers coming into his home. Adoption fee is $475 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
IDGSR Welcomes KEVIN into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Well howdy, folks! Name’s Kevin, and I reckon I might just be the smallest German Shepherd this side of Nashville, Tennessee… trapped in a Chihuahua/Terrier body. Don’t let my size fool ya—what I lack in height, I make up for in heart, grit, and a whole lotta personality. Quick Facts: Age - 7-months old Kids - will do fine with kids Dogs - great with other dogs Cats - probably no cats 1. At 7 months old, I’m still a young buck, full of curiosity and charm. 2. I’ve got a funny little bob-tail that wiggles faster than a tumbleweed in a windstorm, and a coat that looks straight outta the German Shepherd handbook. I’m startin’ to think I might be an undercover deputy from the Shepherd ranks—just disguised in a compact package! 3. I get along mighty fine with other dogs, and I’d fit right in whether you’re livin’ in a ranch, apartment, condo, or townhome—I’m not picky about my corral. 4. I’m still workin’ on house and crate trainin’, but I’m a quick learner if you’ve got some patience and a few treats up your sleeve. 5. I’ll need a good ol’ dose of obedience trainin’, but partner, once I learn the ropes, I’ll be your most loyal sidekick on every adventure. 6. So what do you say, cowboy (or cowgirl)? Saddle up and adopt me —the tiny sheriff with the Shepherd soul! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! Story
Meet Cheyenne — a delicate, dear-head Chihuahua with a heart as tender as her tiny 9-pound frame. At just three years old, she has already experienced more upheaval than any little dog should. She spent her life cherished by her mom, but when her owner became disabled and had to move in with friends, Cheyenne came along… only to be told she could no longer stay. It shattered her mom’s heart and left Cheyenne confused and frightened.   Cheyenne has lived a very sheltered, indoor life, and the changes of the past few months have left her understandably nervous. She needs time, patience, and a gentle hand to learn that her world can be safe again. Once she feels secure, she’ll quietly lean in, allow soft pets, and even offer a tiny kiss to show her trust.   This sweet girl isn’t demanding—she’s simply sensitive. She finds comfort in calm environments and absolutely needs another friendly dog in her new home. Having a canine companion gives her confidence and helps her settle. She loves cuddling with her dog friends, and in her foster home, her favorite cozy spot is tucked under a blanket where she feels warm and hidden.   Cheyenne is never aggressive or mean with other dogs, but energetic puppies are not her cup of tea—they’re a bit too lively for her peaceful spirit. What she truly wants is a patient, loving adopter who understands that trust is earned gently over time.   If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal little Chihuahua who will adore you once she knows she’s finally safe, Cheyenne may be your perfect match. With a secure, loving home, she will blossom into the devoted companion she’s meant to be.   Cheyenne is healthy, ready to go, and so deserving of her happily-ever-after.Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to meet this precious girl.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 14, 2025, 11:46 pm

Story
Meet Tank — the blanket-burrowing comedian with a heart as big as his personality. When Tank’s loving owner passed away, his little world turned upside down. But even through the confusion and heartbreak, this resilient 6-year-old Chihuahua never lost his spark. A kind foster stepped in to keep him safe, and now Tank is ready to start the next chapter of his life — one filled with comfort, stability, and plenty of snuggles. Tank is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He recently met a cat and stayed calm and polite, proving he’s just a little gentleman in a tiny package. He may try to talk you out of going in his crate but once he’s inside, he settles easily. Still, his true happy place is under a pile of blankets — burrowed into your lap, tucked behind your knees, or occasionally perched on your pillow like a tiny, furry crown. He’s affectionate, silly, and full of personality, but never in a way that overwhelms.  Tank dreams of a quiet home where he can be the center of cozy evenings and soft routines. He’d love a calm household with other friendly small dogs and no children, and most importantly, a human who appreciates a good snuggle and a warm blanket.   If you’re looking for a tender-hearted companion who will love you with every ounce of his tiny body, Tank is ready to make you his whole world.   Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue if you are interested at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.
