Story
Meet Curious Puppy Coco.  This beautiful brindle boy is only 17 weeks old and 7 lbs.  Just look at that face.  It definitely tells you that this curious little guy will be in the middle of everything.  This little boy is all legs.  You just want to smile when you look at him.  He is at that awkward stage in life with legs and feet going every where.  Coco is a very sweet boy.  He is super friendly and does not meet a stranger.  He happily goes up to everyone to be petted.  Coco loves other dogs and has a big time playing with his foster brothers.  He is a bit of a pest to the older dogs though as he always wants to play.  Coco would love to have another young brother or sister to play with.  He definitely needs a companion to keep him busy.  When Coco does settle down he is a great little cuddle boy and will curl up in your lap or beside you to go to sleep.  This little guy is doggie door and crate trained.  He walks OK on a leash but does need some additional training.  He is very smart though and catches on quickly.  He will be an excellent addition to the right family.  Coco is neutered, current on all shots and microchipped.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Coco is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)November 18, 2024, 11:35 am

Story
Jack and Jill are 2 of the sweetest babies. They are approximately 1.5 years old and Jill weighs 12 lbs and Jack weighs 8 lbs, they are full grown. These 2 have not had an easy life. They did have a home at one point, but the owners moved out and left them in their yard, in a wire crate, alone. No food. No water. The neighbors heard them and due to laws, could not take them, but animal control wasn’t responding so they snuck them food and water over the course of a few days. A week went by, and still, nobody came for them. They lived in a wire crate for a week before animal control came. Thankfully, they let us take them into our care, where they have been. The owners never came back. Jack and Jill have since been fully vetted and are ready for their forever homes. They each have their own personality and would make wonderful lap dogs. They are NOT bonded but if you’ve ever thought to adopt 2, now is a great time 😊 Jack is a little more timid than Jill – he is the smaller one (light tan) and he’s unsure of who to trust. Jill is more friendly and will come to anyone and give lots of kisses within minutes. Jack can warm up to you with patience (and a little time, not much!). In a matter of days he was sleeping in the fosters bed, cuddling right up. Jack is wearing a lap band in some of the pictures/videos because he was just neutered – no other reason, They are both cuddle bugs and love to be next to you. They are house trained. They have met kitties and other dogs, and they don’t mind either of them (you’ll see one of our kitties in the video going up to them). An ideal home for them would be one that is a little quieter and more relaxed. These 2 are not hyper nor do they need a lot of activity. They don’t mind walking around the neighborhood. Jack and Jill would make fabulous lap dogs and loyal companions for the perfect person/family. Jack and Jill are spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on preventions, microchipped, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption from a vet, which is giving them a clean bill of health. Story
Chloe is an amazing little pup who is about 5 years old and weighs 9 lbs. Chloe is a chiweenie mix, she has a long body and small head. She is not getting any bigger. This little girl is so sweet and just full of love. At first, she is a little timid and can be a bit scared. After a few days, she will start coming around and she is the funniest, cuddliest tiny baby you’ll meet. Chloe LOVES other dogs and would thrive with another dog in the house as she does lack confidence. She has been living with 3 other dogs and 2 cats in the home. She loves to cuddle with her fur-siblings if you’re not available to cuddle. She fears younger children as they can be loud and move fast. Children are okay if they’re calmer and understand patience with Chloe. Chloe LOVES her food and is very food and treat motivated. Chloe is pad/house trained and she is crate trained. She knows to jump on the couch or bed to cuddle, watch TV and sleep. At night she will put herself under your blankets as she gets cold quite easily. Her favorite spot to sleep above all else is in your neck. She will climb to the top of the couch or to your pillows and just curl up in the crook of your neck and fall asleep. She is not a big fan of leashes but can learn to walk on one. An ideal home for Chloe would be one with gentle children and somebody with patience (in the beginning) to allow Chloe time to decompress and come out of her shell. When she learns to trust you, she gets the zoomies and is one of the best dogs you’ll ever have. She is very loyal and loves her humans endlessly. Chloe is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, heart worm negative, current on preventions and will have a health certificate from a veterinarian giving her a clean bill of health. You can apply to adopt Chloe at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
If you are looking for a dog with a sweet and soft side then you have to consider this most handsome little chiweenie called Hercules. We're not sure why he was ever called this name that brings to mind strengthen strong arms and height than weight and perhaps a little bit of pompous. Our little Hercules is anything but that. He is a 10-month-old, 11 lbs ,  little guy that is a Chiweenie and Dachshund mix that was adopted out by a rural family that thought he would be fun and no effort.  After the cuteness wore off and some work was required they  then decided that he was toouch effort so they put him outside in a 24/7 outdoor kennel and merely fed him and gave him water when he needed it. He's come to us in the past week and a half, since the beginning of November and now he's been neutered and he's being cared for and loved on by a nurturing foster mom. Hercules does have some things to polish and overcome, but he will get there with the right family. He's a little diamond in the rough who is a really sweet and loving dog that needs a confident family to show him he has worth and value.   He takes time to warm up to you, but if you let it be on his timeline,  he repays you 10 fold.He is learning crate training and is doing good with that. House training Will come along with some time and Critter Cavalry certainly has some words of guidance for that. He is learning what a leash is and is trying very hard.  He needs a home that has a calm environment and some older children and adults that won't have a lot of noise and high activity olto make him nervous. He just needs a nice quiet home with lots of love. This handsome boy does love to cuddle and sit in your lap.   Hercules didn't deserve being put outside in a kennel and was dealt a bad hand as a young pup.  Now he has the right rescue and the right foster mom to ensure that he has a bright future. Hercules will be one of the best redemption projects that you will ever embark on for your life. Put in a little work and you will get a million hours of love and sweetness. Please contact the rescue, Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 11, 2024, 11:32 pm

Story
Meet Parker!  This precious little guy is 4 years old and about 12 lbs.  Evidently Parker did not have a very good life prior to joining Critter Cavalry.  We think he was bullied by another dog.  He is a 'sit on the sidelines and watch' kinda guy who doesn't really want to play with anyone.  He doesn't mind the other dogs and definitely is not mean.  He would just rather be with people.  Parker is super sweet and loves people.  He just wants to be where his foster mom is.  Parker would be a wonderful companion for someone that just wants one dog and who would like a dog they can take places.  He would love that and would love to be friends with all your friends.  He is just precious and very friendly.  He gentlY smells you to make sure you are OK and then he is good.  He was smiling during his photo shoot and seemed to enjoy all the attention.  If you are looking for a loyal companion then you have found him in Parker.  Parker is doggie door trained, neutered, current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for Parker's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Parker is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm
