Story
Baby Bat embodies the personality, uniqueness and likeness of the Batman. First, he works alone. No sidekicks or partners. He prefers solitude and his space. Baby Bat has lived with his foster and her dog pack for 5 years, he gets along with them but tolerates them at most. He would do well in a home where he is the only dog, no children, and adults only. Next, Baby Bat is an apex predator. Which means he needs his sleep and food and not to be interrupted or coddled when given either. Baby Bat is not a lap or cuddly dog. Finally, did we mention Baby Bat is a Chihuahua mix? That's a really important detail! Baby Bat is a great and loyal dog seeking a great family to adopt him! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
This is Buddy, and he can't wait to be yours! Buddy is a sweet young Chihuahua mix that started life off as a feral, until he was caught by a sweet and loving foster. Buddy got the good life after that! Spoiled with treats and given so much love he's developed into a great dog. He's a very friendly boy and does great with pretty much everyone. He would do best in a household with an active family. Buddy does tend to bark at smaller animals so he would do best in a household that doesn't have farm animals or other small pets. Dogs and cats he is fine with, though he has not had much experience with cats. Buddy would do well paired with another calm and confident dog. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Ready for a new friend? Meet Honey! Honey is a sweet dog, just like her name she is oozing with affection and love. She is a very medium/small sized beagle/chi mix, she is housebroken and likes to let people know when she needs to go out by pawing at your legs. Loves to cuddle with you, she can be a velcro dog sometimes and will make your couch her permanent home!. Honey doesn't like to share her affection with others and is adoptable into a single dog/animal home. She does tolerate the foster mom's kitties but honestly she would really love to be the center of someone's life. She has MORE than enough love and devotion to fill your heart every day. She is crate trained. She loves to sleep in the bed too! If you are looking for the yin to your yang, the bread to your jam or the pup to your life... HONEY is the ONE!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Opossum the tripod Hello there! I am not an opossum as you can tell but let me tell you how I got that funny name. When I was first seen all by myself by the animal control in a small town near San Antonio, I had some bare spots in my beautiful hair, and yup, you guessed it I had a bare-naked tail. So, they called me Opossum. But as you can see now, I have lots of long hair on my little tail and it has filled in or is filling in nicely on the other bare spots on my body. Seems like my body was stressing out over being abandoned on the streets and my hair was falling out all over! But those days are over now. I don’t really have a back story but I will tell you what I know. I am about 10 years old now, so I am a senior gal, but I am a happy senior. I tolerate the puppies when they come racing to see me and play a little with them, but when I am done, I let them know with a little growl and then they leave me alone. Other dogs and cats don’t bother me at all. I was once a much-loved pet because I only have 3 legs. Someone sometime decided that the back right leg was injured and had to come off, but after all this time, I don’t miss it at all. I may walk a little funny but who doesn’t at my age! I spend a lot of time sleeping in my bed and am potty trained. I like to go outside, especially when it is nice outside and sleep on a bed in the sun on the deck. Boy does that make the old bones feel good! I do love a good stroll around the yard, just to check things out but always come back to bed. My activity level varies between “I feel like taking a nap” to “just waking up from a nap”, and foster mom has never heard me bark. I am a good old girl who just wants to find a forever place to live…and nap! $200 Local adoption fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State adoption fee with $50 temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
Pinky and the Brain I am Pinky, half of this dynamic duo, and I am happy to be alive!! You see, the reason I say that is because at the end of January, we were found in a box behind an apartment building in a neighboring city and we didn’t have a measurable temperature. It took a little bit, or a lot of warming to get us both to “wake up” so to speak. They thought my brother “the Brain” was dead at first. We both got a lot of fluids through needles in our legs, and lots of nutritious stuff in there too but we were unstable until we got to our foster mommy at Gods Dogs. She worked with us and gave us lots of love and care, even though we were skinny and didn’t have much life in us at first. It took time for us to get so skinny and in bad shape and it took weeks for us to get better too. Fast forward to today. I am spayed already, and I am ready to find my forever home. I would like to have a home with my brother, Brain, because we have always been together, but I know it isn’t always possible. He must wait until March 10th to get neutered as he has a wonky eye that probably has to be removed. He is fully recovered from his experience and is a great guy to play with. If you want to adopt me, I am a small girl chihuahua mix who shouldn’t be more than 15 pounds tops. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Marvin is a delightful little Chihuahua mix dog whose estimated DOB is 8/1/2020 and on 10/11/24 he weighed about 15 pounds. He was brought to our shelter after being found abandoned. As delightful as he is, he is people selective, and he is protective of his person, so it may take more than one meeting. Be careful picking him up, if you do it wrong, he may bite to let you know. Marvin is a smart and sweet boy, who love to be in your lap and loves to be petted. He is very playful and he loves, loves, loves tennis balls! He plays well with other small dogs but does get jealous and may become dominant. Marvin is a happy go lucky little guy, unless you are petting someone else. If an overload of playful cuteness sounds good, you need Marvin! Come meet him today and see how fun he is!Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

Story
Wanda was adopted as a puppy during the pandemic. She's loyal and loves affection. She is timid and yappy. She grew up with my young kids and isn't a fan despite my daughters best efforts. She doesn't like other dogs at first but like people, when she gets used to them, she loves to play. Her favorite game is fetch with tiny tennis balls. She has an occasional back problem that requires medication if her back goes out. We've had to stop letting her play with bigger dogs for her safety. She currently is seperated from our big dog and stays in the bedroom most of the time. It's been a hard choice but I believe she would live a better life if she lived in a home more suited for her with no bigger dogs or small children. We will include her two creates and all her toys and accessories with the adoption.

Itty may be tiny at just 5 lbs and 9 weeks old, but she’s got a BIG personality!
