Story
Name: LuckyBreed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever MixAge: 2 years oldKids: Over 12Dogs: YesCats: NoOur lovely Lucky has been hanging out in foster care while searching for her forever home! Though she is loving life in her foster home, Lucky thinks it's about time she finds her family!Lucky is 2 years old and is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix. This pretty girl loves attention and is super affectionate! Lucky has a ton of energy so she would benefit from someone who has an active lifestyle that can take her running or hiking and preferably a home with a fenced-in yard where she can get all her zoomies out! Lucky loves chasing the tennis ball and zipping around her fosters yard! Don't get her wrong, Lucky likes her quiet time at home hanging out with her foster dad and just relaxing. Lucky girl loves everyone she meets, is very trusting of people, and bonds quickly! This girl will be glued to your side in a minute and be your bestie!Lucky likes other dogs, though she sometimes doesn't know how big she is, so would prefer a canine companion comparable in size or one who can handle her energetic play style. We are saying children over 12 for Lucky because she can get a bit excited at times and jumpy when greeting people, but she's working hard on her manners.Lucky is housebroken, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and UTD on her vaccinations. If you are interested in Lucky, please fill out an adoption application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
I’m George! I’m a 4-year-old, 60-pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix, but everyone just calls me the biggest mush ball you’ll ever meet. My favorite things in life? Belly rubs, snuggles, and soaking up all the love you have to give. I’m ridiculously soft, so don’t be surprised if you can’t resist petting me all the time—I certainly won’t complain! I’m a friendly guy who gets along great with other dogs, and I’m always ready to make new friends, human or canine. When it’s time for a walk, I’m happy to join you and, with a little guidance, I do well on the leash. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, sweet, and snuggly companion, I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can be part of the family and share all the love I have to give. Could that be with you? Let’s find out—I’m ready to be your new best friend! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
*SNUGGLE ALERT!*  Bristol, a vibrant ~2 year old terrier/lab mix, is a bundle of love and energy waiting to enrich your life! This sweet 45-pound spayed female adores people, children, and snuggles, making her the perfect companion for an active family or individual. She is very friendly and loves other dogs! She also does well with dog savvy cats.  Bristol thrives on human interaction and loves being close to her people. Due to her exuberant nature, we recommend older kids 8+ or dog-savvy kiddos (she means no harm and does not have a mean bone in her body, however she may unintentionally knock over a small child).  Bristol walks well on leash and is doggie door trained. She is a quick learner, eager to please, and loves belly rubs and showering her family with kisses! A fenced-in yard would be her dream come true, where she can unleash her signature "zoomies" and adorable "tippy-toes" running style.  Apply to meet this sweet, special girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2073770##
