Story
Meet Pepper! A gorgeous, petite aussie doodle lady at 35lbs. She is about 2 years old, and came from a situation where she was very neglected. Zero grooming and probably little to no positive socialization. Therefore **please read** what her needs are before applying! Pepper will be one of those pups that will take months to truly come out of her shell. For example, it has taken 3 weeks for her to want to lay and relax in the same vicinity as her foster family, but has little interest in being touched or even looked at. Her foster mom describes her as a lovable weirdo! She will need a more relaxed home with at least 1 other confident dog in the home. She feeds off the confident, 7yr old GSP in her foster home, but also gets along with the others as well as cats. She has done great with kennel training and leash training. Pepper is easily startled, and will flee as a response. We'd recommend a fenced backyard for her forever home as an extra safety measure. Working with dogs from these situations can be a process, but SO rewarding. If interested in meeting Pepper and learning more about her progress over the last month (which has been so great to see), please submit an application at www.foreverhomedogs.org. Meets will be setup with approved applicants only after January 20th.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Tucker is a two year old 25ish lb Aussiedoodle. He was a breeder release and is under socialized so will need a special adopter willing to put some work in with him. We are working on potty training, he’s still occasionally marked so he does wear a belly band when he’s out of his kennel. He is good with cats and other dogs around his size - he does better with another animal to follow around for confidence. He does sleep in a kennel at night, but the kennel has to be in his foster mom's bedroom or he barks because he doesn’t like to be alone. He does bark in his kennel when his human leaves, so would not recommend an apartment/shared walls in his forever home. He is still very very shy around new people and can be a little nippy out of fear so would not recommend young children due to his horribly neglectful situation before he came to us. However, since being in rescue for a month he does get happy zoomies, wags his tails and comes for snuggles. His adoption fee is $250 and he is fully vetted. If you have the right type of home for Tucker and want to meet him, please put an application in at www.foreverhomedogs.org!All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots.
