Story
Cosmo is an energetic, curious, confident, smart, friendly, and goofy boy. We (3 adults) adopted him from a shelter in May 2024. Cosmo loves tug games, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and running around the yard. He walks pretty well on a leash, though is distracted by squirrels and dogs. He has had compatible dog playdates but tends to act like a pesky puppy and needs a playmate who can play vigorously with him. An unresolved behavior issue we have had is that when Cosmo gets overstimulated or doesn’t want to do something, he will sometimes challenge us by jumping and nipping at us. We sent him to a board & train program to help address this stubborn issue. The primary family member in charge of Cosmo is experiencing health issues that are preventing her from giving Cosmo the care and continued training he needs, so we do not feel able to continue to give him a good home. With an experienced owner and targeted training, Cosmo will thrive and be a beloved companion.

Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $750    Snorkel is a 1 year old Cavalier mix who is diving to the depths of the sea to find you, her forever home! Snorkel was rescued from the shelter with some of her deep sea pals when they got stranded on a coral reef and sent out a SOS that we answered. Snorkel weighs 13 pounds and she’s ready for a life on the high seas…. or the high couch! Whichever comes first. She’s easy like that. Ready for a reef-freshing adventure? Adopt Snorkel!     Snorkel is a happy and playful gal who is ready to take the world by storm! Once Snorkel got comfortable in her foster home, we got to see her amazing personality blossom! She loves toys and happily empties the bin daily. She loves pets and cuddles and is just generally such a sweetie. Snorkel’s favorite spot is on your lap or next to you on the couch. She is the perfect balance of laid back and playful. Snorkel is great at keeping herself occupied when she needs to but she also loves playing with her people. Snorkel is such a love bug who would thrive in a home ready to shower her in affection. She’s smart and food motivated as well which has made training a blast. She would love to explore the world by your side. Snorkel is such a lovely gal who is excited to make the most of her second chance with you! Let our girl change your life!  Snorkel wakes up from her grotto at 6 AM and goes out into her coral reef to potty. She then gets a lot of snuggles and enjoys some playtime before she has breakfast. She spends her days alternating between lounging on the couch, playing with toys. or hanging out with her humans as they work from home. She gets a walk around lunchtime and then zooms around in the backyard until everyone is home from school. She goes on another walk before dinner at 5 PM. She settles down in the evening and then heads to her crate for the night in her foster parents room. Snorkel lives with a resident dog and they get along well. She would benefit from continued training (both on and off leash) and socialization as she can be a bit over excited making new friends at times. Snorkel would do best in a home with slightly older kids as she is a bit skittish when she first meets people. Snorkel is potty trained. Come take a dive and meet Snorkel today!       Snorkel is an option for homes who have owned dogs in the past. Kids should be over the age of 10. January 25, 2025, 8:27 pm

Looking for a hypoallergenic pup with a non-shedding coat that’s perfect for allergy sufferers? How about one who’s equal parts playful, cuddly, and just a little bit mischievous? Well, meet Rhyme, a 1-2 year old, 14-pound ball of fluff and joy who’s ready to find her forever home!   A Day in the Life of Rhyme (AKA: Your Future Sidekick) Rhyme starts her day at 5:30 AM sharp—because why waste a perfectly good morning? She heads outside with her foster sibling, Raven, for a quick potty break, then fuels up with breakfast. After that, it’s time for some serious backyard play before settling into her daily routine of… well, being adorable and demanding attention.   During the day, she alternates between hanging out in the laundry room and backyard, playing a round (or ten) of fetch in the living room, and graciously allowing herself to be adored. Evenings are for more fetch, more toys, and finally some good old-fashioned snuggling on the couch. At bedtime, Rhyme prefers to sleep next to her human, because, let’s be honest, she’s the ultimate Velcro dog—but with a little time, she could learn to settle in a crate.   Personality – Affection Overload Incoming! From the moment Rhyme stepped paw into her foster home, she decided that she was the queen of attention. She loves people, loves pets, and loves giving kisses (so prepare for an enthusiastic face-washing at all times). She initially ignored the cat but has now decided that chasing the kitty is her new favorite hobby—though she’s easily redirected.   Her ideal day includes: Following you from room to room like a dedicated shadow Snuggling up as close as possible whenever you sit down Keeping an eye on all your activities (especially if food is involved) Playing fetch like an Olympic athlete   She’s also a bit of a comedian—she once jumped over the cat mid-fetch and once pushed Raven through the dog door when she was taking too long (efficiency is key!).   Social Skills – Fur-iendly, Fun, & Full of Love Rhyme gets along great with other dogs, but let’s be real—her true love is YOU. While she likes hanging out with Raven, she’s not much of a cuddle buddy with other pups—her preferred cuddle target is you, always you.   She’s been gentle with kids (ages 11+) and would likely do well with younger ones, as long as they’re ready for a little training on boundaries (she’s a jumper, but we’re working on it!).   Training – A Work in Progress, But a Fast Learner! Housetrained? Yes! Uses the dog door like a pro. Crate trained? Meh… She can stay in a crate but might cry a little (or a lot). Leash walking? Getting there! She pulls a bit and has a talent for circling around your legs (fancy footwork required). Chewing? Oh yes, she’s got skills. If she can reach it, she’ll probably taste-test it (RIP to one unfortunate camera cord). Barking? Only when someone’s at the door—she takes her job as official home security officer very seriously.   The Perfect Home for Rhyme A home where she can be the center of attention (seriously, she loves being spoiled). A family that will play with her and snuggle her every single day (this is a requirement). Patience and consistency for training—she’s a smart girl who wants to please! Another dog is fine, but she really just wants her human’s love the most.   Why You Need Rhyme in Your Life She’s sweet, sassy, playful, cuddly, and full of love—with just the right touch of mischief to keep you entertained. Whether she’s pushing her dog friend through a door, jumping over the cat in a game of fetch, or curled up against you watching TV, Rhyme is guaranteed to bring laughter, warmth, and endless love to her forever home.   Are you ready for your new best friend? Rhyme is waiting to steal your heart!    Rhyme is an option for a home that has had a dog previously. If there are children they need to be at least over the age of 5 and knock over proof.                January 29, 2025, 2:39 am
