Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there, I’m Kishi Daisy!   I am a 7 year old female, spayed Catahoula dog.  I weigh 45 pounds.  If you are not familiar with the breed, I historically was bred in Louisiana as a hunting and herding dog.  I form a quick, strong bond with my human.   My favorite thing to do is to go on leash walks with my foster mom.  I would be a great hiking and running partner.  I am a middle-aged dog, but I still have a lot of spunk and a lot of good years left.     I am house trained and kennel trained.  I live with 3 other dogs and 3 cats in my foster home.  True to my breed, I can be somewhat aloof with other dogs.  I would prefer to live in a home as an “only dog.”  I have a very strong bond with my human and prefer not to share my person with other dogs in the home.   I have a pretty strong prey drive when I am out of the house.  Watch out, Squirrel Nutkin!  But I can live fine with indoor, dog-savvy cats.  Outdoor cats are fair game.   My ideal home would be one with a consistent, regular routine with firm boundaries set by my person, and not too much noise or chaos.  I have said hello to some kids in my travels, and I am fine as long as they are respectful of me and my space.  I would do better in a home without small children.   When I am home in the house with my person, I settle quickly.  I love to snooze either near to you (I would be a great home-office assistant) or in my dog bed.  My foster mom kennels me at night and when she is not home during the day.  The kennel is not my favorite place, and I have been left out for several hours at a time without a problem.   I’d love to meet you!  I will likely give you a gentle sniff and kiss on the fingertips.  It’s my sweet way of saying hello.  If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application for adoption and my foster mom will get in touch with you:   https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 16, 2024, 1:14 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you're looking for the SWEETEST, funniest, most SOCIAL little pup with a DEEP SOUL, a big heart, and a SPUNKY personality... who LOVES to go on adventures and be your sidekick, and will make you laugh, TITO is the one for you! Tito is a SUPER sweet, very outgoing, 10 month old Catahoula mix pup. Tito is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, is fairly good off leash, and is also trained fairly well to jog alongside a bike on leash. He is also a bit shy, but once he learns you're his human, he will open up his heart and want to become your best friend and adventure partner &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143‍. PERSONALITY & ENERGY LEVEL: Tito is a very QUIET, medium-to-high energy pup with a SPUNKY and silly personality that will make you laugh, yet also... has a very DEEP and tender soul! He is EXTREMELY social, and absolutely LOVES to play with dogs AND some humans, and is ALWAYS the one to initiate play, and is GREAT at getting others to join him. He absolutely loves going on adventures and is looking for a real adventure partner to take him everywhere and show him a good time! But when things calm down, he opens a side that few get to see... the softest little TENDER soul, who just wants to turn off the outside world, and snuggle with you and give LOTS of kisses. AT HOME: Because of his energy & social personality, he would do best in a home where he can get the regular exercise and socialization he needs. An outdoorsy family or individual would be ideal, even better with a fenced back yard. When his needs are met, he can do just fine at home alone with toys or bones to chew on for a few hours, or if he lives with another playful dog, he will do just fine all day without his human. TEMPERAMENT: He is tempered amazingly well, and doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and has shown NO aggression to dogs, pets, or humans. STRANGERS: Away from home, Tito is quite brave and will approach strangers without much hesitation. At home, he is more fearful, but not aggressive. So he will usually bark. With a proper introduction, treats, and patience, he warms up well. KIDS: Tito has been exposed to MANY kids of ALL ages, and enjoys mellow kids, but is cautious of hyperactive kids. TITO - LOVES - DOGS!! Tito gets along with ALL dogs and his foster says he has never seen a dog SO talented at getting other dogs to play with him. He will use every trick he can to get them to play. He will often even sit on his dog-friends while they're taking a break... to get them to play, LOL! CATS: His foster has introduced him to a few "mellow" cats, and learned he does well with mellow cats when the introductions are slow, and feels he could do ok in a house with cats if SLOW introductions were allowed. TRAINING: Tito is also VERY smart and learns VERY QUICKLY and knows MANY commands. Like most Catahoulas, he does NOT do well with negative reinforcement, unless it is extremely gentle and kind. He is also "fairly" treat motivated, so treats help. RECALL: Tito comes when called about 90% of the time with few distractions, or 3/4 of the time around stronger distractions. HOUSE/CRATE TRAINING: Tito is fully house trained & crate trained, and loves his crate, and feels safe in it. WALKS/LEASH: He is great on walks, likes a fairly brisk pace, and loves to use his nose. He does pull, but not hard, and will slow down with guidance. Tito really is the cutest, funniest little thing, and will melt your heart with his love and his SOULFUL personality and will make you laugh on a daily basis. Whoever ends up with Tito, is going to be the luckiest dog parent. He really is such a tender, sweet boy, and is SO VERY friendly, and his bright, spunky, and SOULFUL personality seems to always make people laugh and brighten the mood wherever he goes! All he wants, is a SOULMATE, to be their sidekick and let them fall deeply in love with his beautiful and DEEP SOUL! If you think Tito could be the boy for you, apply to meet him today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2024, 5:50 pm

Story
We know what you're wondering- who IS that dog with the adorable head tilt? Well, we're here to tell you! It's NILA! Nila is a 5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix and a fashion icon. In her previous home, she loved to rock a cozy sweater, and at HSU, she is the queen of fancy bandanas! When she's not dressing to impress, Nila is a track star! This girl loves to run, so if that's your jam, too, maybe you can strap on your running shoes together and hit the park! Though she was the only pet in her previous home, Nila reportedly did well with the neighbor dogs, though she was overwhelmed by dog parks. She may do well with a calm pup in her new home if given a slow and careful introduction. She would especially like a new friend who could play fetch with her! Nila could totally be your favorite lifestyle influencer with her excellent fashion sense, being an avid runner, and top-notch fetch skills. Meet her today at the Humane Society of Utah!

Story
Meet Brando- the sweetest, cutest little puppy in the world. Brando is 100% snuggles, sunshine and good times, just a little puppy looking for his forever family. We think Brando is a German Shepherd, Catahoula mix, though he is a rescue, so exact age and breed are a mystery. He’s around five months old, and still has quite a few of his puppy teeth! He weighs in just under thirty pounds right now, but he’s still growing! Watch Brando here: https://youtu.be/cQb2ondiOqY Brando is your typical puppy, all about naps, snuggles, playtime and food! He loves treats, and he takes them so gently already! Brando shows tons of signs that he’ll be a good dog when he grows up. He’s not mouthy, he’s learning his leash skills quickly, and he’s great at checking in with his humans during play time. He calms down quickly when playtime is over, and then it’s straight to snuggles. He’s confident and affectionate, and will climb up on the couch with you for some love! Brando LOVES belly rubs. With other dogs, Brando is all play! He’s super friendly with other dogs and instant BFFs with anyone that will indulge him in a game of chase. Here at the rescue, we cat tested Brando. Brando was playful, but not reactive toward our house cat Tom. See his full cat test in his YouTube video. Our behavior team believes that Brando could live in a house with kitties, so long as another dog is present to teach him proper kitty-etiquete. Brando is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. With any specific questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
**Fostered in Nampa, ID and ready for meet and greets!** How often do you see a dog that is this striking? Well don’t just stare, let me introduce you! Her name is Isa and she can come across as a bit shy but Ill tell you, it is only because she is truly holding her best material for her biggest fans. Her best material is the sweetest kisses, goofy zoomies, and a silly playfulness that looks so good on her. We can’t say for sure of course but everything about her leads us to believe she is a Catahoula Leopard dog. Estimated to be 2 years old and weighing 48 lbs, she is a full-grown mid-size dog, which from experience I will say is prime snuggle size. If you know about the breed already you can skip ahead but if not, one of my favorite facts is that Catahoulas are the state dog of Louisiana so if you are a die hard LSU fan, this girl will wear your purple and gold with true pride. Beyond that they are independent and smart and loyal through and through. Isa’s perfect home is adaptable and we could see her thriving in a house with a yard to enjoy or an apartment. She does prefer the quiet life, you might even say she identifies as a country girl with no interest in big city life. Its noisy. As for other pets, Isa doesn’t mind one way or another. An independent male dog would make a great counter-part but she is perfectly content being an only dog. As for cats, she has spent a lot of time with our house cat Tom, even laid down together!. Kids are welcome with understanding the her bit of shyness isn’t from lack of love, she is a bit like a new kid at school, help her learn her way around and be supportive, before you know it you’ll have a new best friend who is ready to show you all her cool spins and zoomies. Isa was introduced to several new dogs and did great, she was very tolerant and patient with a variety of dogs from calm to the high energy wild ones. Her shy approach isn’t as present with dogs but she does take a more aloof approach at first so a dog that is understanding or equally easy-going and aloof would be best for her. Isa is a cutie girl who is sure to bring you and everyone around you plenty of laughs and love. A girl like her won’t be available for long so if you are even slightly interested, fill out an application or send an email to kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This handsome young man is named Parker Sparkles, he has the sweetest soul and he’s looking for love! Parker is a complete sweetheart, ready to adore, and be adored by you. We think he would make an excellent companion dog for just about any fun-loving household, he would love to be your very own adventure dog! Parker would adore doggy parents with adventurous hearts, that will take him camping, hiking or just to the park! As long as couch snuggles are guaranteed after the fact. He has an adventurous heart with a soft and gentle snuggly side to match. He’s the best of both worlds. Watch Parker here: https://youtu.be/aiZAg-i-XoI?si=SMD48qK9q661I-D7 We believe that Parker is a Catahoula, Labrador mix, however he is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Parker Sparkles is lovingly bestowed with such a fun name on account of his partial iris heterochromia in both eyes- he has brown eyes with these adorable, cartoonish blue highlights. We estimate his age to be around 1 year old, and he currently weighs in at 56 pounds. Parker has a huge, warm heart, and being a rescue dog, he’s learned to guard it. He can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up with soft voices, gentle pets and quality time. This is true for Parker with humans and dogs alike. Once he has warmed up to you, you’ll find that you have the most loyalist best friend until then end of time. He’s a gorgeous boy with so much love to give, his foster mom describes him as “affectionate, but not needy.” One of the things that she loves about Parker is the fact that he is not the type of dog that constantly needs her or needs his person. He definitely likes to be in the same room with his person and people in general but he’s not needy or begging for affection. Every day, she’s greeted by excited little hops when she comes home. He’s a snuggler, and a total lap dog. Parker is a lover and knows how to not over do it. If you’re someone who works from home, if you’re someone who is retired and likes to garden, do projects around the house/property and you’re looking for a companion to have with you; Parker is your dog! He will quietly follow you around, keeping you company and does he best about not getting in the way. He simply likes to be in your presence. Parker is also a frequent visitor at his foster mom’s work office. He is not desruptive to other employees that work there. He is quiet and is not the nosey type. At the office you’ll typically find him either under your desk taking a nap or he’ll be taking a nap on his dog bed or chewing on a chew bone. He is also a little bit of an introverted gentleman in the sense that he’ll sit back and watch while you either talk with another employee or a customer and only engaging when it’s appropriate. Which is perfect for him and just the way he likes it since he can be a little slow to warm up with new people. Parker is dog friendly and is currently fostered in a home with multiple other dogs some being large and others being puppies. He gets along fabulously with everyone now, it did take him a few days to decompress and feel comfortable around his larger foster siblings. With the puppies however, there were no issues and he initially felt comfortable around them. Once he opens up and feels comfortable, has a wonderful rough and rowdy play style with his canine companions, he’s always the life of the doggy party. If he is to be adopted out with another dog Parker would do best with a dog that is aloof and playful. One that will respect his space once he arrives, let him get his bearings, and also a pup that will engage with him. A dog that will encourage him to play without being too over the top about it and in his face. Parker would absolutely appreciate doggy siblings in his forever home! They simply know how to make other dogs feel better and more comfortable in a way that people never could. Which I think it pretty amazing how other dogs have the ability to essentially help rescue other dogs. This sweet boy is a complete toy lover as well. His favorite toy is a canvas frisbee with rope around the edges. He adores squeaky toys and playing “surgeon” with them! If you don't know what we mean by that, it means he loves to de-stuff stuffies. Even his favorite ones. It can be quite a show to watch that will be guaranteed to make you laugh. He loves his nylabones too, and could chew on them for hours. He shares his toys well, and adores playing tug of war and fetch. His foster mom says one of her favorite things about Parker is the way he bounces, leaps, and springs in the air like a deer going after one of his toys that's been thrown across the yard. She says it's one of those things that he does that no matter what kind of day it was, playing fetch with him and seeing him jumping like a deer always put a smile on her face and instantly made her day 10x better. He also knows when play time is over and he’s not begging to play fetch some more. He leaves it be and goes inside to lay down to take a nap or chew on his chew bone. Parker would love to find an adventurous family. He is an adventure dog at heart and loves exploring new places and new smells. We would actually love to see him go to a home that either has a large backyard with plenty of room to explore or even a home with some property. He travels with his foster parents out to their farm where there is fencing going around the property that simply outlines the property and he loves going off in the woods, exploring all the new smells. One thing with Parker that you’ll never have to worry about is he will never stray too far away from his people. He’s the type of dog where once he gets use to an area, he’ll go off and enjoy the outdoors, then will be right back at home where he belongs never straying too far or out in the woods for too long. I can see him joining his people for a hike out in the evergreen woods, prancing around like the deer that he portrays to be, enjoying the simple outdoors like it was something from a movie scene. Parker is easy to walk on a leash which will help make any adventure that much more enjoyable, even if it’s just a walk in the neighborhood. He also loads and unloads by himself, settles in the backseat, and likes to look out the window. His foster mom even said Parker knows the words “let’s load up” too. We’re not quite sure if Parker is a water dog yet, but we can say that he’s quite curious about his foster family’s pool! He likes to explore the edges of the pool, dipping his face under the surface from time to time. We won’t be surprised if he learns to love swimming! Parker’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore, but he’s not too picky about the rest. He has been around kids of all ages and we believe he would do best with kids 6 and older that will understand and respect doggy boundaries. Parker could co-exist happily with doggy siblings, or he could thrive as a solo dog. He would love to have a spot on your couch, and something tells us that this boy would adore a place in your bed as well. Parker loves to run, and the sound of trucks and lawnmowers don’t faze him, so his foster mom suspects he would love the farm dog lifestyle! This handsome boy won’t be available long, submit an application to adopt today! We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready.
