Separately, my name is Copper, and I’m a loyal, lazy Labrador Retriever blend. And I’m Todd, a fun, curious Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. Together, life hasn’t been very kind to us. We were a little nervous entering SNIPSA’s program, but with treats, comfy beds, and lots of love, we are starting to find our way. As a whole, we’re well-behaved. Although we could use some leash training, we do know how to behave in our crates. That means there won’t be too much to teach us once we are finally home– unless, of course, you want us to be excellent hunters or sly tricksters, like the movie Fox and the Hound might suggest. Jayden is 5 years old, but he is like a big puppy and loves to play and snuggle on the couch. He was left at a home after a tenant vacated it, so we have been caring for him until we can find him a good home. He is playful with a lot of energy and would benefit from a big yard or lots of outdoor space to run. He is able to learn - we taught him to sit and stay. He loves to play ball. He's a very smart dog! He gets along well with our large and small dogs. but he has too much fun chasing cats. He would benefit from a home by himself or with other dogs, but no cats. He's very strong and would make a great running partner! We are hoping to find him a great home that he deserves where he can get lots of love and play time in the outdoors. He is crate trained and does well by himself inside a home in or out of his crate. He is also a great guard dog and barks at strangers or doorbells, as needed. He has the herding dog him because he loves to playfully herd his owners and friends!
