Delilah is a 7-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog. This girl is so sweet and beautiful. Before LaMancha, Deliah was stray bound fending for herself, which was very scary, so she’s a little shy right now getting used to her new surroundings. Delilah loves, loves other dogs, and they really help build her confidence. It’s so cute to watch Deliah with her friends. She is incredibly sweet and loving. This pretty girl would do best in a calmer home who will take it slow with her, because she will feel comfortable every new day. She is an awesome girl. She has already won the hearts of all the volunteers. She melts your heart. My son, am Iraq and Afghanistan vet, has severe PTSD. He adopted this dog 2 years ago. The dog is a very good dog. Great with cats, children, and other dogs. My son's PTSD has him in a rehab facility and I am watching his dog and cats temporarily. We discussed whether he wants to keep them, and he knows he cannot. He has not abused Athena in the least, he is very loving to her. She is very smart and knows most commands, and learns very quickly. I travel for a living (Tech support), and cannot keep her.

Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.
