If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Bella is around 2 years old and 45 lbs. She was adopted in March 2023 originally and recently returned to us. Bella lives in a home with two other dogs and a cat. She did well with everyone. Unfortunately one of the dogs that is more dominant and resource possessive has decided that she no longer wants to live with Bella so she came back to us. She's in foster care now and adjusting well. She's absolutely stunning to look at with her speckled coat and blue eyes. She's fun, energetic, and would love to find a family to call her own. Bella is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
