Sweet, soft, beautiful Briar is a 6-7 month old, female, Catahoula mix. Briar has the softest coat you’ll ever feel and she’s happy to sit back and enjoy all the pets you have to offer. Briar is a medium sized girl, around 25 lbs with some growing left to do. She will likely mature under 50 lbs. Briar loves similarly sized, playful dog friends! She’s decent on leash and is a friendly and social pup suitable for any CO adventure your heart desires. Briar is crate trained and doing well with her house training! Due to her breed and anticipated energy level – she is best suited in a home with a yard. Briar Rose is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/briar-rose/. Story
Hi! I'm CJ, and I'm a 50 pound cattle dog mix, about 5 years old. I like everyone I meet, canine or human. No one is a stranger to me! My favorite things:-Making canine and human friends-Belly rubs, naps, and cuddling-Food!-Walks with stops to smell things. What I'm looking for in a home:-Another dog friend! (preferred but not required)-Either a yard, or someone that enjoys spending time outside and lets me sniff around-People who are home a lot and wont leave me alone too much! I'm the bestest boy and am ready to settle into the next part of my life! I do well in a kennel if my dog friend is next to me, I walk nicely on leash, know a few tricks, and do the best full body wiggle when I see you!  Do I sound like the buddy for you?! If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $250 and I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. I have genetically bad hips and the rescue is in the process of fixing them for me. I had the first one fixed and am recovering from that currently but doing better every day! (I can still walk 2-3 miles a day, It really isnt slowing me down too much) ##1538559##

Story
Hello! Maverick has been my great companion since early 2015. I got him in Indiana as a pure catahoula, (he just got both recessive genes and isn’t brindle). I have been able to find support and keep him with me throughout my career in the Navy but unfortunately the navy if putting me in areas where I cannot take him anymore. I have him with a good friend but their situation has changed as well recently and I have to find a good loving home for him to live his best life. He is currently in the Denver area

Story
Lulu was found as a very young puppy roaming the streets of south Texas. She was so excited to finally run into a woman kind enough to offer her food. Lulu didn't know it yet but that day would mark the start to a new life for Lulu. Although the woman wasn't quite sure what she would do with such a young puppy she knew anything was better than the life she'd been given to start with. Lulus finder helped Lulu learn how to become a dog. She taught her leash manners and how to make other doggy/kitty friends. Lulu had the best foster home because they were patient and understanding. The finder knew their time together would determine the rest of her life so she vowed to make every moment count. Lulu loved going on adventures thanks to her foster mom. She's waited nearly a year to find rescue placement because of how full everyone was. The finder couldn't bare to see Lulu be in a shelter where she would be euthanized so she advocated for her until she found our rescue. We were inspired by Lulus story , we know Lulu has the perfect home waiting to embrace her and all her Quirks. She is the sweetest dog and needs a home with tons of love and affection. Lulus list of demands is to have a furry friend she can play with even if that means being able to just go to the dog park to meet those furry friends. Lulu needs a yard , she is young and loves to play. If you don't have a yard don't let that stop you from applying Lulu said as long as she gets to go on walks she's okay with that to! Lulu is waiting for the perfect home . Could that be you ?   Lulu is available to be transported to us this Saturday! 9/14/24 but she must have and adopter or foster to adopt applicant to be transported. For right now she is stuck in south Texas with her foster momma waiting for someone to give her a chance. ##2173040##

Story
Molly is a huge love bug. She loves to be around her human, play outside, and snuggle on the couch just to name a few things. She would be best in a home with no other animals. She does have a jealous streak when it comes to her human and has a hard time sharing attention.

Story
Meet Chia! Chia was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston, where she was scheduled for euthanasia due to lack of space at the shelter. Chia is a 1 year old, 45 lb, gorgeous Catahoula / Blue Heeler mix. From Chia's foster: * * * * "Chia! She is a spirited and affectionate girl. She likes to be held and snuggle up. She has a lot of energy and loves to play and wrestle with our senior dog. When he's had enough, he lets her know. She's usually good at listening and backing off when he's done playing. She is very intelligent and responsive to training. She is fully potty trained. She's learning to walk without pulling, ignore distractions on walks, and even some of the rudiments of heeling. She knows "leave it", "drop it", "sit", "lie down", "go to your spot/crate" and is learning more commands everyday. Her manners are coming along great, and she is working on her recall and waiting/stay. As a young dog, she struggles with impulse control. She is learning to make good decisions out in the world but is easily overwhelmed and overstimulated. She just needs training and someone active that will get her enough stimulation throughout the day. She loves spending time in the backyard. She's obsessed with the squirrels and enjoys playing with her "stuffy on a stick'. This is her favorite game/toy! She would excel at agility training and is a natural born herder. She sleeps in her crate without complaint. She knows how to use the doggie door and she's never destructive when left alone with the other dog. They share toys and bones - without too much complaint. Chia uses a snuffle mat and a slow eater bowl - these help provide mental stimulation. Chia is a smart girl who needs things to do! She is eager to please and will work for treats!" * * * * We would prefer that Chia go to a home with someone who is familiar with herding breed dogs. Chia is up to date on her vetting and vaccinations to stay true to Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to fulfill our commitment to ending the tragic canine overpopulation challenge. Chia is available for adoption now. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If you're interested in this sweet, cuddly and fun-loving best friend, please fill out our application completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Chia, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
