Story
Meet Skye & Nimbus – Your Beautiful, Wild-at-Heart CompanionsSkye and Nimbus were found as kittens past the point of easy socialization, with wide, wary eyes and little tyke attitudes to match! The shelter wasn’t the right fit for them, so they came to Angel’s Wish, where they’ve made progress in a patient foster home. These two won’t be your cuddly lap cats—they still hiss when approached (every single time!) and don’t want to be petted. But don’t mistake them for aloof—Skye and Nimbus are deeply curious about everything you do, always nearby to watch, observe, and be part of your world in their own way. Sit down on a couch, and they’ll settle near you. Open a Churu, and they’ll come right up to take it from you--even licking it off your fingers. Skye does allow pets when she`s eating Churu! They both love canned food, meow enthusiastically for meals, and play happily with feather toys with their foster mom. They love racing up and down their cat tree and chattering at the birds out their window. Low-key and tidy, Skye and Nimbus need a special adopter who appreciates their independent nature and understands that they may never seek out touch—but they will be present, interested, and engaged in your life. A quiet home, no young kids, and a patient heart will be key to helping them continue their journey. If you’re looking for unique feline companions who thrive on their own terms, Skye and Nimbus are waiting for you. They have lived with other cats before, and are used to the sights and sounds of dogs in their foster home. Skye and Nimbus are available to be met by appointment only at their foster home in Fitchburg. READY TO ADOPT? Story
Snarf may not have a tail, but he does have a whole lot of heart. This orange and white boy is the shyest of his crew, but day by day, he’s learning to trust us more. With a little patience, you’ll start to see the sweet, gentle cat underneath the cautious exterior. His name comes from the classic cartoon ThunderCats, where Snarf was the lovable, nervous sidekick always looking out for his friends. And much like his namesake, our Snarf might be timid—but he`s full of loyalty and love, just waiting for the right person to bring it out. This charming crew of young cats—ranging in age from six months to three years—has grown up together indoors and is now ready for forever homes. Each one has their own unique personality, but they all share a love for feline companionship and a strong foundation of socialization. These cats would do best in homes with other cats or adopted in pairs, as they’ve always thrived with feline friends. While many may be a little shy at first due to recent transitions, they warm up quickly with time and love. The remaining members of the group include Adventure Kitty, Otti, Werewolf, Babes Cuteness, Criss Cross, A Boy Named Sue, Kevin, Snarf, Charles, Blackest, and Alfred—each with their own story to tell and personality to share. They come in a variety of colors and coat types, with several showing off the strong orange gene or distinctive bobtail/Manx traits. If you’re looking to welcome a friendly, social young cat into your home, one of these wonderful kitties might be the perfect match. This cat attends Saturday adoption events (10 AM to 2:30 PM) at our Verona Adoption Center and possibly may be adopted by appointment during the week by approved adopters.READY TO ADOPT?
