Candy Corn and siblings came to DHS as surrenders. Candy Corn has lived both indoors and outdoors (He did great as an indoor cat!). Candy Corn was born 5-31-25, and he is stunning! He has soft velvety fur and a huge motor! His purr is huge and he really gets it going! He is good with other kitties, but has not been around dogs or young children; but should adjust well to both. Candy Corn has been neutered, he is current on all his vaccines, all he is missing is you! Candy Corn would make a great house kitty and snuggle buddy sitting on your lap purring away! Come meet Candy Corn today! You will fall fast in love with him! "I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org. Story
Sugarbee has had a rough start to her young life. She was born outside in March 2025, and into a large colony of cats. This situation became uncontrollable, and Sugarbee became sick. DHS took this loving girl in and nursed her back to a happy, healthy cat. Sugarbee has a beautiful, buff colored, medium length coat. She enjoys being petted, but isn't sure yet about being picked up. Sugarbee is enjoying her life having a cozy bed, lots of toys to bat around and windows to look out while watching the world go by, but she is missing having a family of her own! While she lived with many others, we have not tested Sugarbee here at the shelter to see how she lives in close quarters with other kitties, but we do believe she would do well.Come meet this extra special girl today! Story
What a good-looking young man! Archie was a local stray brought into DHS. He is a lover, and has the loudest purr! He is soft and well-mannered; he must have been someone's pet at some point in his young life. Archie is a go with the flow kinda guy, not much seems to faze him at all. He is goofy with his toys and loves staff.

Story
Clue, who is part of our "Board Game" litter, came to DHS from a barn home, where her owner wanted more for the kitties. She was born in April. Clue is a spicier girl who wants attention on her own terms. While she doesn't enjoy being picked up, she will allow petting. Clue would do well as a working cat, in either a heated barn or shop. She is doing excellent with using her litter box. With time, she will bond with her owner and become trusting. She would do best with another kitty in the home/shop to give her the confidence she needs."I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org. Story
Nova, what a loving girl! She adores humans, but seems to be afraid of other kitties, with her being a stray, she may have been chased away from food sources by larger cats, making her fearful. With time and the wonderful helpers at DHS, she will learn to trust again. Nova is a sleek black older kitten, born around early Sept. Nova is goofy while she plays, and tips her head sideways like a puppy hearing a funny noise. She's spunky and would probably make an excellent indoor mouser!

Wilbur loves his food! He is very loving and sweet. He has lived with other kitties, dogs, and children. Wilbur is sure to give you lots of love and laughter this holiday season! He is a fun, spunky boy who loves to climb and jump into boxes. He will make your home full of love and laughter this holiday season! Wilbur is estimated to have been born in Aug. He is at a fun age to run and play with other furry family friends, or the two-legged kind! Wilbur is first to seek attention and enjoys naps in your lap. While he and Orville enjoy each other's company, they do not need to be adopted together."I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petacademy.org.
