Story
Koala is a transfer from an overcrowded shelter; she isn't so sure about us humans here at DHS, but with time we are positive she will warm up and be as loving as she previously was. Koala has a soft, lush coat that would relax anyone after a hard day's work; once she is comfortable, she will allow petting and even give some head nudges to your hand for more attention. Koala has not been tested with other kitties yet, due to her not wanting to leave the comfort of her kennel.Don't pass up this beauty; she is sure to make a wonderful lap warmer! “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Wanda and 12 other kitties were living with their human in her car after being evicted from their home. Wanda and her friends were flea-infested and, in some cases, in rough conditions. Wanda was the first to become brave and started to explore outside of her kennel, she roams the rooms and hangs out with Leonard. She is hissy at first, but as long as they give her space she doesn't mind being out and exploring with other kitties around. It is unknown how Wanda does with dogs.“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Richard and 12 other kitties were living with their human in a car after being evicted from their home. Richard and his friends were flea-infested and, in some cases, in rough conditions. Richard started off super shy here, but has begun warming up and loves chin scratches. He's such as sweet big guy, just needs some reassurance now and again with new things. “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Persephone is a sweet 15-week-old girl who is very shy at the shelter but is warming up and loves playing with toys. She has been spayed and is current on vaccines. She would do well with another kitty in the house to help her become more confident with new surroundings. Her favorite places to be scratched are under the chin and behind her ears; she leans right in for more! She is spunky and loves toys with balls in them so she can swat them around and around the circle pieces. Persephone is heading into foster care this week and will get updates on her true personality outside of the shelter“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
