Story
Hey y'all, I'm Scarlett. I am a pretty 6 year old calico tabby. I think you could describe me as sweet and spicy, but heavy on the sweet. When I give you my face rub kisses, you can look at my big, gorgeous green eyes and also notice that I may be wearing eyeliner. If you're more of a toe bean person, I have both black and pink. Lots of cats will perform their "happy paws/biscuit-making," but how many can do the high step happy paw? Want to know what else I can do? I will sit and high-five you for treats. I can prove it. Come in and meet me. I will show you that I will be a very faithful companion. If you are interested in meeting me feel free to stop in during our Open House hours:  Thursdays from 6:00-9:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am-4:00pm.October 12, 2024, 12:52 pm

Story
My name is Daisy and I am a 6 year old "torbie," which means I am a perfect mix of tabby and tortoiseshell cat. I am on the shy side and I would make a nice calm, quiet companion. Trust me, sometimes it's the more reserved ones that have extra love to give. If you come in to see me, my eyes will draw you to me. They are so green they glow! I really look forward to finding my forever home so I can relax and be myself. If you are interested in meeting me feel free to stop in during our Open House hours:  Thursdays from 6:00-9:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am-4:00pm.October 12, 2024, 12:52 pm

Story
Brett Hoffman was an outdoor cat that didn't seem like he belonged outside at all. He started hanging out around one of our foster homes, so our foster opened the door and he walked in like he owned the place. Since Brett seemed so content we decided to get him to the vet and get him adopted. Brett warmed up to the inside life immediately. Unfortunately, he did test positive for FIV but luckily Brett isn't a fighter so we don't thing that will affect his chances of getting adopted. The foster is happy to let him stay at their house until he finds a furever home. The foster says he is a sweet and playful cat. He loves string toys, stuffed toys, and catnip. He even loves playing hide and seek and chase. He's snuggly and loves to talk as he follows you around the house. Brett would be a great addition to any home.October 12, 2024, 12:52 pm

Story
Newt is a 6yr old, male neutered, domestic long hair. Newt will do best in a home with children over the age of 10 and pets who will give him space. Newt is a very relaxed cat just looking for someone to cuddle with. Newt does enjoy chasing after toys from time to time and love sitting up high in a cat tree where he can watch birds. Story
Urban is a dear boy who came to the shelter as a feral in April/May 2024 and it was clear from the start that he was very fearful of humans. He was taken into foster by a shelter volunteer (myself) to see if he could flourish in a home rather than be TNR'd back to the outside. For the first couple of months, he had a bedroom to himself where we would visit with him a few times a day. Little by little, he became more comfortable and hid from us less. Eventually, we let our own 3 cats visit with him at night. It is evident to me that he loves other cats. They were not as enamoured with him, though. He slowly started exploring the rest of the basement and soon made his way upstairs. He has been up with us all ever since. He is still leary of humans (especially when we are walking around), but is now enjoying pets and scratches at treat time. He LOVES treats. He drools for them as well as when he is pet. I believe he will continue to relax and trust the right humans. If our 3 cats returned his love, he would be home now. However, they have not been won over by his charm and sweetness and he deserves to be in a home with a cat or 2 that reciprocate his desire for cuddles. A relatively quiet environment is ideal - probably not with young children as he will be skittish for a while yet. He will require patience, understanding, and love. He deserves all of this and more.  December 22, 2024, 4:28 pm
