Story

Arson is 1 year and 3 months old. He was given to my sister by a family friend. She has taken care of him since he was a few weeks old, but due to conflict in her previous home she had to move. I am helping her rehome him because she has disabilities and her new home does not allow pets so she is not able to take him with her to her new housing. He has lived with other cats in my sister's previous household. He has lived with dogs and small children in the previous household. He has always been an indoor cat and uses the litterbox without issue.

Miss Spicey lives up to her namesake, but she’s sweet and spicy! Spicey may not trust as easily as some other cats, but when she warms up, she is a delight. Spicey will likely do best in a quieter home, that allows her time and space to adapt and feel safe. Spicey is a brown and grey tabby with really fun, cute patches of orange tabby, like one orange paw and the tip of her tail! We hope for Spicey to find a home where she can be comfortable and appreciated for the uniquely wonderful kitty she is! She loves human attention and when you come home, she'll tell you all about her day and what she did while you were gone as she is a vocal girl! Meet Candyman. Candyman is a 2-year old neutered male. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. Candyman is also FIV/FeLV negative! Candyman is a gentle, shy sweetheart who just needs a little patience to show you his softer side. If you approach too quickly, he’ll scamper off—but give him a moment (and maybe a treat or two), and he’ll come right back, rolling over and leaning into pets like he’s known you forever. He has a playful streak, especially when it comes to anything fuzzy—feather toys, fuzzy mice, soft kickers, you name it. When he’s not playing, you can usually find him perched in a windowsill, watching the world go by. Candyman is currently in a foster home with other cats and truly thrives in their company, so he will need to go to a home with another friendly feline. He also lives with dogs and is often caught rubbing against them, so a calm, cat-savvy dog companion should be just fine. Candyman would do best in a quieter home with older, respectful kids (10+) who can give him space when he needs it and love when he asks for it. With the right family, this sweet boy will blossom into the affectionate, loyal companion he’s meant to be. Ahh Shucks, meet the cutest friend you've ever had! Ahh Shucks is a 3 month old male. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. ***Ahh Shucks is an eligible Foster to Adopt Candidate until he is able to be neutered! Ahh Shucks is a hilarious little guy who will keep you smiling and laughing for days! He hops side to side while he plays and rough houses with all of his foster siblings and has even gotten used to the large breed dogs in the home. Ahh Shucks can be a little on the shy side and will require a little time to adjust in his new environment- due to his shy nature, he is required to go home with another cat or to a home with an established feline friend that can help him continue to grow and gain confidence. He should do well with kids of any age, and even cat-savvy dogs given proper introductions and supervision. His foster mom knows that one look at this guy and you'll say "Ahh Shucks, look how cute!" Tanghulu is a 4 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Tanghulu! Tanghulu came into the shelter as a very shy guy but he showed us right from the start that he has a gentle and sweet soul. While he may need some time adjusting in a new home, he enjoys slow and gentle pets from his favorite people—especially head and chin scratches! He is also a food motivated kitty and using yummy treats is a great way to earn this man’s trust. He is otherwise a very mellow and low-key guy who doesn’t ask for more than a soft bed to cat nap in and a relaxing spot next to a window to lounge in. Although Tanghulu is starting to show us more of his sweet personality every day, he is still a shy guy who startles easily. So, he is looking for a calmer and quieter home where he can continue to blossom. He would do best in a home with children at least 12 years of age or older who won’t chase or scare him and understand he may prefer his space at times. He is currently living in a communal living area with other cats with whom he seems to appreciate so he wouldn’t mind having another feline friend in the house.
