Story
Meet Roger, the most distinguished orange tabby with a heart as big as his purr!Roger arrived at WCAS as a stray... cold, dirty, and HUNGRY! When Roger arrived at WCAS, he was severely underweight. While we don`t know what Roger`s life was like before coming to us, we know that whatever happened hasn`t changed his love of people! Roger is an affectionate boy who wants nothing more than a lap to curl up on at all times.Roger may do well in a home with other animals, as long as proper slow introductions are performed! This adorable goofball is truly the sweetest, and would make a great addition to your home. For more information on Roger, or if you`ve decided you think he`s just the kitty for you... Fill out an adoption application on our website, or contact us at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com!

Story
Looking to add a little magic to your life? You`ve come to the right place! Houdini has his bags packed and he is ready to hit the road to his new life with you!Houdini is a 10-month-old Domestic Shorthair/mix. He is an absolutely gorgeous guy with a very unique color pattern, as well as those adorable big eyes! Houdini originally came to our shelter with his 2 siblings. He was very fearful and took quite some time to become truly comfortable with his environment and with people. Now, this sweet boy will come right up to you for head scratches (and snacks... okay, maybe he just wants the snacks!). Houdini does well with other cats and may even enjoy living with a dog as long as proper introductions are performed. Houdini would do best in a household without young children. Houdini still needs some patience and love as he continues to build the positive association with people. Take a chance on this shy kitty and we promise you won`t regret it!All cats available for adoption through WCAS are spayed/neutered, have received core vaccinations, are microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative unless stated otherwise.

Story
Jyn here is a very special girl, and our longest term cat resident here at OAHS. Jyn resides in our administrative offices, and likes to supervise and keep everyone on track. She has a very special place in the hearts of many of our staff. Jyn has quite the fiery spirit, she has very strong boundaries and will enforce them. She has her favorite people that she will follow around the offices and even likes to help out with paperwork and phone calls! She has even been seen laying on her favorite people`s laps, and pushing herself right into their faces to get attention. Toys are really fun for Jyn, especially laser pointers and toy mice. Jyn takes extra time to adjust to new situations and people, and is on a medication to help her deal with the stress of the shelter (which she can be transitioned off of once she is adopted). Jyn is a queen and needs to be the only pet in the home, she doesn`t want to share your attention. If you are someone who doesn`t mind a diva cat who can be a bit spicy, consider adopting Jyn! She would be an absolutely perfect helper if you have a home office. :)• Our longest term cat resident, 1 year• Needs to be your only pet• Can get overstimulated and needs an experienced home• Is a great office buddy• Is on a medication to manage her stress here in the shelter Meet Jyn at out shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt. All adoptable cats at OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Jyn, please refer to the link below. Story
Kidda is peeking out of her hidey hole to say hello! She is quite the strong-willed girl, with a strong personality! She was quite upset upon arrival here, and it took her some time to adjust, but now she is ready for a new start. She likes to come out when people visit her and rub against them when she feels comfortable. When she is really happy and enjoying pets she will `elevator butt` which is super adorable. Independant is a good word to describe her, she likes things on her own terms but also doesn`t mind some gentle pets!Kidda is on a special urinary diet to help prevent crystals from forming in her bladder, you can ask the cat desk ladies for more information about her and her needs! • Sweet but independent• Needs a quiet home with no other pets• On a prescription diet to prevent urinary crystals from forming in her bladderDo you think Kidda is the one for you?
