Story
Tater is a beautiful, friendly, tabby girl who has gorgeous tabby markings and soulful eyes. She was adopted from the rescue in January of 2020 as a kitten and returned recently due to a new baby being allergic. Tater is a very sweet kitty who is on the shy side until she feels comfortable. Once adjusted, let the petting begin! She enjoys being petted and does not mind being held for short periods of time. She gets along with the other cats in her foster home, but is intimidated by cats that have dominate personalities. Her foster mom knows once she gets her own home again, her true personality will shine. Her ideal home would be on the quieter side with no young children. Older, respectful children should be fine. Tater is almost 3 years old ( as of 7/ 2022), spayed, up to date on vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Story
Introducing Piper Piper is a very handsome kitty with a big personality. He is a confident guy who loves to explore new things and places. He warms up quickly to new people, loves to be petted and does not mind being held as long as he is not busy exploring. Piper had a rough start to his life battling upper respiratory infections. He is now healthy but will have periodic sneezing episodes but as he is getting older they are becoming less frequent. Piper loves to play with toys and the other kitties in his foster home. His foster mom says Piper can be very entertaining at times and tries to help you with what you are doing. Piper can be a busy boy so he will need a feline friend to play with to keep him entertained. Once tired out Piper will settle in for some snuggle time. He also will give "love bites " at times so we feel no small children would be best, older respectful children are fine. He never breaks your skin but could scare the younger children. Piper is about 1 year old ( as of 4/ 23), neutered, up to date on vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLv. If interested, please email dlw0311@hotmail.com

Story
This handsome kitty is Atlas. Atlas was rescued from outside life by a nice couple who saw what a sweet boy he was. Atlas lived the typical Tom cat life and has one of biggest tomcat heads his foster mom has ever seen. He has fought many battles and dealt with the discomfort of having 2 entropic eyes for years until being rescued. He had surgery to fix his eyes, and is now neutered so he is ready to find a home where he can finally relax and enjoy life. Atlas has the most gentle soul and enjoys being petted and held. He is on the calmer side taking full advantage of all the indoor luxeries. Atlas gets along well with the other kitties in his foster home but mostly keeps to himself. He will play with toys but what he really enjoys is his afternoon naps in the sunshine. His foster mom says he is such a good boy and knows there is a family waiting for him somewhere. Atlas would probably enjoy a calmer household with or without other cats. Atlas is about 5 1/2 years old( as of 10 / 2023), neutered and up to date on vaccinations . He is negative for FeLV but he is positive for FIV. Don't let that scare you though, Atlas can live a normal life even with other cats. Please email us if you can offer this special boy a home and we can give you more information. if interested in Atlas, please email dlw0311@hotmail.com

Story
Meet Dean! Dean is a courtesy post for a caring person who found him as a stray. Here's his story. Dean's past will remain a bit of a mystery. How did such this sweet and friendly guy end alone and hungry looking for food at feral cat feeding station one cold December night? Shortly after he was spotted outside, he was trapped for TNR. He wasted little time showing the caretakers all he wanted was love and a second chance. He's been quick to forget the cold nights he spent outside and is just thrilled with all the pets and cuddles he gets in his foster home! His dream home is one that has an open lap for him, that will serve up his favorite wet food dinners, and give him the love and attention he craves. He is a master biscuit maker, sometimes using all 4 paws! He doesn't mind being picked up and enjoys being held. If it's not asking too much, he would love a fluffy bed and a nice perch on a cat tree. Let's talk playtime. We feel he likely missed out on the fun of being a kitten. Once he discovered toys, he's been making up for lost time. He has a kitten-like playful side to him. He loves to bat around plush mice toys and will occupy his down time with kicker toys. He would love a family who has some time for interactive play. His favorite is a pineapple wand toy! Dean is estimated to be 3 years old and FeLV/FIV negative. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. The vet told us he has bilateral luxating patella that appears to be congenital. This is a fancy name for a trick knee that pop out of place. Although it can sometimes cause difficulty jumping, Dean has never showed a problem with jumping or signs of discomfort. No treatment is required right now and it's possible he may never have issues from it. Most cats with this condition benefit from pet steps to get to their favorite beds, sofas or chairs and walking on carpet provides more traction and stability. Story
Keegan is very handsome orange tabby boy with gorgeous green eyes. He was originally TNR'd but it became apparent shortly after he was released that he wanted to be an indoor cat. Keegan started running into any open door in the neighborhood that he could get through. Not long after being released Keegan showed up with a very swollen ear which looked extremely painful. The neighbors reached out to the rescue for help. How could we say no to that adorable face. Keegan was relieved to be indoors and getting help for his painful ear. He was taken to the vet immediately where he had surgery for an ear hematoma. Keegan did well with the surgery and was such a trooper wearing the e collar for 3 weeks. He must of been someone's pet before since he is such a friendly kitty. He loves to be petted and does not mind being held. He gets along with the other cats but is definitely not a fan of dogs. He possibly had a bad encounter with a dog during his time outdoors. We will never know what Keegan dealt with in his time outdoors but we feel it was not pleasant...He would do best in a home without small children and without dogs. Keegan is about 3 years old( as of 3/1/2388, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Story
FIP SURVIVOR ALERT! We know many people are familiar with Pringle's journey, but here is a recap if you are new here. Pringle's life has been riddled with bad luck, but he is a fighter! He lost his mom and siblings at 3 weeks of age due to an unknown illness/disease. At 5 weeks, he suffered a dog bite to his face (which was stitched up and healed well) when he escaped his quarantine room to look for a playmate. Then at 8 weeks his Feline Leukemia test showed faintly positive which resulted in a longer quarantine and more tests. At 4 months old, he was neutered and tested negative for FeLV. We were hopeful he could finally socialize with other cats and find a forever home. In the days following surgery, Pringle began rapidly declining and we were preparing for the worst. Tests ruled out several possibilities and he was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). We can happily report that he is officially declared FIP CURED following his one year blood work result after treatment. With so much bad in his life, there can only be good from here! Pringle is an adorable 1 year old boy. He is curious of the world around him and is often the first to explore a new object or room. Pringle loves to play with any dangly string--be it a shoelace or hoodie string! Even more enticing to him are moving feet and hands under a blanket. Pringle often prefers the companionship of humans over felines and does not have the best catiquette because he was isolated for so long due to his illnesses. He loves getting pets on his head and can be such a snuggle bug. Pringle has the tiniest meow when he greets his foster dad at the end of a long work day. Pringle gets a lot of kisses because we just can't resist his big, round eyes. He is also our favorite meme cat. We often create comparisons of his pictures because he is so photogenic and silly! Although Pringle is the most adorable and loving cat, Pringle has developed some cattitude because he was a single kitten for a very long time. He gets overstimulated easily by rowdy cats and people and can get mouthy when pushed to his limit. For this reason, we think the perfect home is a calm household with adults only who are cat savvy and understand his body language. Pringle is neutered, negative for FIV and FeLV, and updated on all his vaccines. If you think that you've got the perfect home for this wonderful boy, please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com for an application today!
