Story
Harper was born around 2015 and was rescued in very poor condition in May of 2023. It was thought that she was swollen due to pregnancy; turns out she was so ill from extreme starvation after being abandoned outside, her illness had made her look that way! The vets gave this sweet kitty just a small chance of survival, but she had suffered enough, wanted and deserved a chance at a pain-free life of real love. With months of expert medical care, TLC and specialized feeding, you can see how she looks today. Not only has she survived, she has recovered and is a lovely, mature cat who is now ready for just the right forever home to call her very own. Harper is spayed, tested negative, up to date on her shots and vet care. Her bloodwork is now excellent, and her muscles are rebuilding nicely. She is currently being fostered in a confined area; she will do even better in a real home to explore and share with her new family. She has great litter box manners, enjoys her cardboard scratching pad and wand toy, and she likes to curl up to sleep with her foster mom. Harper just craves human attention. After all she’s been through, she does not enjoy vet visits and needs a little pharmaceutical help to deal with them. She tends to get underfoot, so may not be the best pet for someone with mobility issues, but she is a cuddler who wants and deserves her very own special person to love on. If you might be that person, Harper promises to reward you with tons of affection and unconditional love!
