Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue GENTLE AND SWEET Meow! My name is Java, and I was born on January 20, 2017, making me a graceful senior lady with years of quiet charm to share. I am the epitome of calm and serenity—often found perched regally atop the highest cat trees or nestled on top of the cages, where I can survey my little kingdom with wise, watchful eyes. There’s something comforting about observing the world from above, where I feel safe and in control. I have a refined taste for the finer things in life—tender wet food is my absolute favorite, and I never say no to a delicious treat. My affectionate nature shines brightest when I’m receiving gentle pets or offering soft, loving head butts as tokens of my fondness. Don’t be surprised if I softly meow to catch your attention or tug at your pant leg—I’m quite the subtle communicator, and I know just how to make you notice me. Sometimes, I even stand up against you, asking for a little extra love and closeness. Despite having a heart murmur, my spirit remains vibrant and full of warmth. I get along well with other feline friends, though I haven’t met dogs yet, and I think I’d do just fine with kind, respectful children who understand the value of gentle companionship. If you’re searching for a mature, loving kitty with a peaceful soul and a sweet disposition, look no further—I might just be the perfect addition to your family. You can find me in kitty corner, quietly waiting for someone special to come say hello. I’d be thrilled to meet you and share some quiet moments of comfort and affection. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SHY BEAUTY LOOKING FOR A PEACEFUL HOME Meow! My name is Minna, and my estimated date of birth is April 8, 2024. I’m a quiet, independent girl who prefers to observe the world from a distance. I’m naturally aloof and a bit shy with new people, but I have a gentle spirit and a sensitive heart. I enjoy relaxing in a cozy hammock and am very food-motivated—that’s the key to earning my trust! I’ll do best in a calm, low-stress home with an experienced adopter who understands that I’ll need time, space, and patience to come out of my shell. I’m not a cuddly or clingy cat, but I form quiet bonds in my own way. I get along with other calm cats and could live with respectful older children. I haven’t had experience with dogs. I may prefer to be the only pet in a quiet household where I can feel safe and secure. If you’re someone who appreciates the quiet beauty of an independent soul, I’d love to meet you. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue TENDERHEARTED COMPANION WITH A SPIRIT OF GRACE Meow! I’m Raelynn, born March 6, 2022, a gentle soul with a heart as warm as a sunny afternoon. During my time in foster care, I blossomed surrounded by the joyful chaos of young children, dogs of all sizes, and fellow feline friends. I embraced every new face with calm curiosity and unwavering sweetness, proving myself to be a wonderfully adaptable and loving companion. The moment you open the door, I’ll be right there, eager for your attention, softly weaving between your legs and serenading you with my constant, comforting purrs. That is, if I'm not relaxing on my favorite windowsill or cat tree. I thrive on affection and connection, savoring every pet and gentle scratch as if it were a precious gift. Playtime brings out my spirited side—I delight in chasing toys and frolicking alongside other kitties, and I would happily welcome a playful feline friend to share my new home with. My past includes a health journey through bladder stones and surgery, after which I enjoyed a special urinary diet. Now back on a regular diet and feeling vibrant, I am a testament to resilience and hope. While my future family will want to keep a watchful eye on my health, I promise my cheerful, easygoing nature will bring endless joy. If you seek a serene and steadfast companion whose gentle presence fills the room with love and calm, come meet me at Kitty Corner. I’m ready to fill your home—and heart—with warmth and affection. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Orange tabby Sweet Sadie is just as her name implies: a very sweet and loving girl. She was very nervous, scared and sad at first, having been trapped from a colony, spayed, given her shots, then taken to her present foster home. However, when she arrived, despite her cautiousness, it was obvious that this was a gentle and friendly girl, trying so hard to be brave, and wanting to be stroked and talked to in a soothing manner. She is now completely settled in at her foster home, and loves being with her people - greeting them enthusiastically whenever she sees them. She is quite the talker, too, having a lot to say about everything and anything, chatting about her day, or anything else that might be on her mind! Sweet Sadie gets along well with the other cats in the household, and is very clean. She is gentle and kind, not a mean bone in her body. Because of her basic cautious nature, especially in new situations, she would do best in a quiet and calm household. Sadie has not been around dogs or children, so any Introductions would need to be slow and respectful. With a little patience, time and a lot of love, Sweet Sadie would make a wonderful addition to any home. Might yours be the perfect one for this special girl? Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meet Red, a handsome five-year-old red tabby whose golden coat glows like autumn sunlight—a reflection of the warmth that’s always been in his heart, even through life’s hardships. For the first five years of his life, Red roamed the outdoors as a resilient tom cat, learning to survive on his own. His days were not always easy, but through it all, he remained gentle and kind, never losing his quiet hope that there was something better waiting for him. Fortunately, Red crossed paths with a kindhearted caretaker who made sure he never went hungry or cold. She offered him food, water, and shelter, and most importantly, patience. Slowly but surely, Red began to trust her, letting his walls come down one careful inch at a time. In time, he discovered how much he enjoyed human companionship—so much so that he began to dream of life indoors, safe and loved. When his caretaker couldn’t bring him inside herself, she made the selfless choice to help him find the home he deserved. Now at Forever Love Rescue, Red has proven himself to be an absolute gentleman. He’s calm, well-behaved, and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Though he’s still adjusting to the unfamiliar sights and sounds of shelter life, his tender spirit shines through. There’s a quiet sadness in his eyes that speaks to his longing for the comfort of a home and the reassurance of a gentle hand. Red is ready for a new beginning—a home where patience, kindness, and one-on-one attention will help him feel secure and cherished. Beneath his reserved demeanor lies an incredibly loving soul, waiting to bloom once he knows he’s finally safe. Give Red the chance he’s been waiting for, and he’ll thank you with a lifetime of gratitude, trust, and quiet devotion. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Klinsi was part of a litter that was rescued from an area where people had been poisoning and shooting cats and kittens. He can be shy at first but once he gets used to you he is the sweetest little guy and definitely likes to be held and picked up. He absolutely loves other cats and he loves playing and any kind of toy imaginable. Klinsi would probably be okay with cat friendly dogs as well as polite children.
