Hello! I am Butterscotch. I am a special boy looking for a forever home with my brother Werther`s. We do require that we are adopted together; we came to the shelter a long time ago as kittens, were adopted together, surrendered back together (because our owner became allergic) and now dream of a forever home that we can share the rest of our lives. We are very sweet boys! We are snuggly, soft-spoken, gentle, and kind. But we are also very shy; it took us a long time to trust humans and sometimes we still need time to warm up when meeting new people. Werther`s and I love to eat together, sleep together, and explore the world together. We`d prefer a home with older kids or teens (nothing too rambunctious for us please), we get along with other cats just fine, and we would love to fill your day with love. Come meet us today! The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00. Encouraged for multi cat household.

Story
Werther‘s came To our shelter as a very tiny stray just a few weeks old along with his brother Butterscotch they were very scared and fearful. His big eyes and ear tuffs melted our hearts. The staff at Bchs Took the two under our wings they went into foster home and have grown into loving playful kittens. Werther’s has gained lots of confidence, he can still be a little shy but with the right home, patience and lots of love and attention will continue to bloom into a beautiful fur baby. His favorite activities are eating and playing and his brother, he would love to go home with his brother but that is not required, he probably would do well with other cats with proper and slow introduction. In foster care he accomplished eating wet food straight from hand and even a bowl from foster mom‘s lap this is a great way to bond with a new kitten it will give him the opportunity to bond and trust. He is perfectly capable of eating on his own uses the litter box well and has had no issues in that department. He plays well independently, but loves to wrestle with his brother. As with all new pets it is highly recommended that Werther’s is contained to one area of the home particularly a smaller bedroom or area that can be closed so that he doesn’t scamper off and get lost or hide and not be found, this also gives him time to adjust to his new environment and gives that adopter an opportunity to interact in a smaller space until there is enough confidence to let him experience the whole home. Keep in mind this room should be baby proof as kittens can get into things unknowingly that can harm them. A room with a view would be great but beware of blinds with strings. He has interacted with a five-year-old girl and did well handled gently, he would do best in a calm household so that he can continue to gain confidence and bravery. Changing environments can be very stressful for young animals especially those that get a rough start Werther’s has never been aggressive but could hiss if he gets startled or feels afraid. He has done very well to overcome this in foster care, However adopter must be prepared for this behavior due to change in environment. He’s a little guy with a big heart and would make a great companion to someone who can devote the time and attention to himAdoption Fee $110.00

Hello! My name is Sweetie! I am a special girl and this is actually my second time at the shelter. My previous family found that I did not enjoy living with kids or another cat. Since returning to the shelter, I was a little shy at first, but I got over it quickly! Now in my own space, I am snuggly, sweet, affectionate! I am definitely now on the lookout for a home where I can keep my humans all to myself. No kids (teens and up would be fine) and no other animals. A nice calm, quiet atmosphere will help me show off just how snuggly I truly am. Come meet me today! Story
Hello! I am Lilly. I came to the shelter because I realized I really am not a fan of kids. I`m a sweet, softspoken girl, and I dream of a home that is quiet, laidback, just like me. I am very affectionate, but it takes me a little bit of time to warm up to new people and new situations. The shelter is scary; so many new faces, new smells, loud noises, and for a gentle girl like me...it can be overwhelming. It took me a long time, but I have finally gotten used to it and I`m now able to come out of my shell! I have a wonderful purr, I love to lean in and rub all over you for snuggles, I flop down and show my belly too! I am truly a cuddle bug if you give me the chance to show you. I am a lap cat, sometimes a couch potato, but I would be the best companion for you for life. Come meet me today and fall in love!
