Story
Pumpkin is a handsome 7-year-old male. He lived in a home for several years and then returned to us in August with his mother, through no fault of their own. Pumpkin is a boy who may take a while to warm up, but when he determines he wants to be your friend, there will be no mistaking it, and he will not be denied. He has a squeaky mew when he is asking for love and loves to be pet! He also seems to be content having his back and neck brushed. Pumpkin would love a home with humans who will be a little patient to give him time to let his personality shine. If you think Pumpkin may be the perfect match for your home, please apply today! If you have any questions about Pumpkin, or adoptions in general, feel free to reach out to us at info@fcarpets.org.We are pre-approving applicants. To schedule an appointment, first fill out our adoption application ( https://cb8f5fb7-0a87-40fa-8ea5-50c4da40acd3.filesusr.com/ugd/c8cb9f_8cd13866ecd54a42a2b424d2b2f8dc10.pdf ). This will ask you questions about which animal you’re interested in, your family, other furry members in the household, whether you own or rent your home and who your Veterinarian is. These allow us to make the best match possible. We touch base with your landlord due to the unfortunate number of landlords who do not allow pets in Franklin County. Our goal with checking in with your Veterinarian is to ensure that the animals of FCAR receive the medical care they deserve. Once we have a positive reference from your landlord (if you rent) and Veterinarian, we will contact you to schedule an appointment with us! If you don't have any pets we understand you would not have a vet reference and we ask for applicants to substitute a personal reference. Please keep in mind, appointments are first come, first serve, based on when your application is approved. Please be patient with your Veterinarian and landlord, as their staff and businesses have been affected by COVID-19 as well. We are incredibly thankful that there has been no shortage in interest! This being said, our staff is limited and we are doing our absolute best to approve applications in a timely manner. This process can take up to a few weeks, but most are approved before then.
