Story
Kona (black and orange) and Koda (white and gray). Kona is approx 5 and Koda is 4. They have lived together and we would love for their new home to be together as well. Rehoming due to an allergy issue unfortunately. They are very friendly cats- get along with each other, dogs, kids (living with 2 currently). Looking for someone who loves cats and can take great care of them. We have their records (vaccinations etc). Kona is a female and spayed, Koda a male and neutered. Come with their litter boxes, food, toys. Koda is very friendly and loves to be pet, Kona is slower to warm up to new people but never aggressive and very sweet- just a bit shy!

Story
Sweet Bianca was picked up as a stray.  Bianca is loving and gentle.  Bianca may do well with a kitty companion with patience and a proper introduction.Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. October 21, 2024, 12:36 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This staff favorite, Tarot, is a special girl with a heart full of potential and a world all her own.Tarot is blind, and her sensitivity to changes in her environment makes her a bit cautious at first. In the shelter, she has shown signs of stress, such as hiding and avoiding touch, but this is simply her way of navigating a world filled with unfamiliar people.Tarot is looking for a patient adopter (or adopters) who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. She would love a quiet, secure space to decompress, ideally away from heavy foot traffic and loud noises. It may take her a few days or even weeks to adjust, but with your understanding and attention to her body language, she will gradually open up.Due to her blindness, Tarot thrives in a calm, predictable environment with plenty of hiding spots and vertical surfaces like cat trees. A cat-savvy adopter who can read her signs and respect her boundaries will help her feel more at ease.Tarot is looking for someone as special and as sweet as she is. She prefers to initiate interactions at her own pace, and with gentle patience, she will start seeking out your company and affection.Tarot could do well with a calm, cat-savvy dog or another cat, but she will need her own space and a gentle approach. Children should be experienced with shy, sensitive cats.If you`re looking for a sweet, quiet companion who just needs a little extra time to adjust, Tarot might be the perfect match for you. Please don`t overlook this very special gal—she is truly one of a kind.If you think Tarot could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours from 11:30am to 5pm daily—no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat rooms during open hours.
