Story
Sneezy is one of a litter of seven kittens who were named after the Seven Dwarves. she is very shy and, while curious and always comes over to her foster parents when they come into the room, tends to shy away from being touched, except when she is sleepy, in which case she loves being pet. She will need an adopter who is patient with her and allows her to feel safe on her own terms. She is very playful and loves toys, especially wand-style toys. She is bonded with her sister, Happy, and feels safer when they are together, so they must be adopted together. The total fee for adopting both is $550.  May 20, 2025, 10:40 pm

Story
Hoarder cats are House Spirits - very shy with people. They live in your home, but are rarely seen - visitors will never see them. They are cats who live with you, and who may sometimes grant you the opportunity to touch them. Or, they may not. Here's what to expect with these special cats: These cats WILL: They're great with other cats! They are used to living with many cats, and are excellent companions for other cats. Over time, they will most likely get used to one or two people who will be allowed to touch them. They may choose to hang out near you, or sleep on the bed with you at night. They are a great choice for patient, kind people with a quiet household, who want to make a difference for an individual cat - one that few people have the patience to help. They are a fine choice for situations where you don't have a lot of time to devote to a pet - most of these kitties do not need or want much attention from people. These cats will not: They will not magically turn into normal acting cats; what you see is what they will be like for a long time, maybe always. Some will change more than others, but be prepared for what you see now. They will not be a good choice for busy homes. This cat has specific litterbox needs. When you bring this cat home they will need to be set up in a room by themselves. This cat will go home with a behavior plan that you will need to follow in order for them to use the litterbox reliably. Ready to Adopt? We do not have any history on this kitten’s previous life or experiences. Since they are so young, they would likely do well in any type of home. Story
Meet Rusty. He came to the shelter with his friend Mochi (also up for adoption), and while new environments and new faces make him nervous at first, his loving personality is well worth the wait. According to his previous family, Rusty is very talkative and enjoys having “conversations” once he’s comfortable. At night, he turns into a cuddle bug, happily snuggling up and soaking in quiet companionship. He shows his affection with sweet head kisses and adorable head boops, making his bond with his people extra special. Rusty is quite nervous around new people and will need time to adjust in his next home. A calm, patient adopter who lets him move at his own pace will help him build confidence. He has lived with a dog before but preferred to avoid them, so a home without dogs—or with very slow, respectful introductions—would likely suit him best. When it’s playtime, Rusty really shines! He loves wand toys and strings and enjoys interactive play with his favorite people. If you’re someone who believes in earning a cat’s trust and cherishing those quiet, meaningful moments, Rusty could be the perfect companion for you. The cat you are adopting is very shy. Patience and a gentle approach will be necessary to form a bond and help this cat feel that they are safe in their new environment. This means that the cat is likely to not want to interact with you at first and will need time to settle in and relax. It is likely to take weeks to months for this cat to become comfortable in your home. Even once settled, they may always be a shy cat who runs from visitors. In order to have the best chance at creating a lasting bond with your new cat, you must go at their pace. When you get home, this cat should be set up in one room of your home, with a door that will stay shut while the cat adjusts. They should be offered a variety of foods and plenty of appropriate hiding places to help them feel safe during this transition. The cat should not be let out of their room until they seem like they are making progress and seem to want to explore more of the house. Story
Steve has been biding his time in foster care, but now he's looking to move on to new adventures. When he first arrived in foster, he made a bee line under the bed, but after a couple of days, he made himself at home! It doesn't take much to please this boy: rub his ears, pick him up and he's yours! While he hasn't quite gotten the hang of the fine art of snuggling, he will snuggle when he's in the mood. Throwing in a few more ear rubs may help your cause if you're a super snuggler. While Steve is quiet, he does enjoy his play time. Looking for your next best friend? Steve might be your purrfect match! Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to Adopt?
