Story
Sweet Cosmo, the little guy who is growing quickly into a cat, is still here waiting. Cosmo, the guy with the "bowl cut". He has been here since he was so very young that this is all he knows. Therefore he doesn't hate being at our shelter, but just think of how much he would love a home of his own. A place that he can have the personal attention he so craves. He would absolutely be over the moon if someone would give him a chance. He wants everyone to know he is not just another white and tabby cat, he is a special white and tabby cat!!! Want to find out for yourself? Good ... now is the time to set up an appointment to meet him. Don't Wait!!!Cosmo is now fully vetted and healthy and ready for his forever home. He likes to be petted and played with and run around like almost any healthy kitten. He will bring a lot of energy to your home. Look at that "hair line". For anyone who has wanted a cat with a bowl cut, he is the cat for you. Of course he will provide you with all kinds of fun and love. If you want to come and meet Cosmo, please contact us and set up an appointment.A large group of kittens were at Polk County animal shelter. They had been turned in sick and unhealthy and covered with fleas This overcrowded shelter was unable to do anymore than house them and hope someone would adopt them. However, not many people are interested in sick, flea ridden kittens. Floyd Felines volunteered to pull them and get their immediate needs taken care of so that they could be fully vetted, socialized and eventually find a wonderful, loving home.

Story
Bagel had a difficult time getting well enough for us to get her spayed. We worked with her and she worked with us, we could tell she wanted to be well. This sweetheart fought and at long last we were able to get her fully vetted. She is more than ready to get out of a kennel and go to a house where she can stretch her kitty legs and eat from her own bowl and have her own person to give her pets and love. Want to give Bagel a chance to enjoy this life? All you need to do is set up a time to meet her and see if you and she could be each others housemates!!Adoption Fee: $150Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editThese two sisters were turned in to Haralson County Animal Control. They were at an age that they were no longer cute kittens and no one expressed any interest in them, therefore they quickly were put on the euthanasia list. When we found out about them, we pulled the girls. They will be fully vetted, fed properly and will eventually find great, indoor homes where they won't have the fear of being put down just for lack of space every again.

Story
Jordy came into our shelter with her sister Peyton. They were found abandoned as small kittens. They were taken in and raised, but as they grew big they began to bully older cats that were already owned. They reached out to Floyd Felines to help find them a home. When they first arrived they were very frightened and did a lot of growling and hiding from our volunteers. This was to be expected since they had been through a lot of changes. But things have changed since they first arrived almost 6 months ago. We no longer feel that they must go as a pair, though that would be nice if they could. They have different personalities. It is possible that when they make another change there will be another adjustment period, but we know they can make change and when they are "themselves" they are a joy.quiJordy is the quiet girl. She is just happy finding a spot to lie down and take a nap. She sure doesn't mind it at all if you come up next to her and give her some strokes. She is happy just strolling around when she wants to, usually to find some food or a litter box or even a better place to watch out the window. Jordy is living in a shelter with many other adult cats and she really hasn't had a chance to get her personality to shine. We would love for someone to give this beautiful Tabby girl a chance and then get back to us about what personality emerges. If you'd like to meet this beauty, please contact us and we will be happy to set it up.

Story
After about a week of decompressing she began to pick her people. Other cats didn't bother her so much. If someone is sitting down, at a desk for example trying their best to do work, she will jump into their lap, put her paws around their neck and vigorously rub all over the person's face. The purrs will come and you can tell how much she is loving the interaction. However, then sometimes her "issues" come out.....not because she doesn't want to not be petted or loved, because she doesn't wan't it to stop. She will growl when the person tries to remove her, she may even nip, but not hard, just to say "no". However, if soft voices and slow movements are used, she will move and gladly sit beside the person. Yes, it is something to work on -- but It is amazing to be that loved by a cat!!! We will continue to work on this quirk.Adoption Fee: $150Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editSneezer had been a PAWS animals control with a constant URI. She was treated, but they couldn't get rid of her URI. We agreed to pull her and sent her directly to our vet. She was so very nervous, She had no clue what it going on in her life. She walked among the other cats, yet she growled to show her lack of understanding. She loves people to rub her, but when they first approach, she sometimes gives a hiss.

Story
She is more than ready to go to a home. She is hanging out now in the adoption room with some of our others that are waiting to get adopted. She gets along with all of them fine, but you can tell she would love to have her own home. When a person comes in and speaks to her she rushes to receive pets. She looks as if she would love a lap to sit in. We know she likes to be stroked and doesn't mind being held. So if this lovely girl looks like someone who would fit into your family, please contact us and we will set up a chance to meet her.Adoption Fee: $150Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editMotor is one of four cats who were at Paws with URI and constant cough and sneezing that didn't seem to be able to get better. We pulled and sent straight to the vet's office where they remained until they were better and altered.

Story
Geraldine and her sister, Gwyneth came to us and were rather scared. We planned to send them on transport where they could live outside, then we found how sweet they were. Gwyneth has scarred eyes and we were very hesitant to have her living outside anyway. Once we began working with them, we found that they were very bonded and Geraldine helps her sister "see". Gwyneth isn't blind, but the scarring is fairly extensive and she doesn't see well. Geraldine is such a good sister. They both love to be petted and talked to, but are not used to being picked up. At this time, that is not their thing and it may never be. They've only been in a kennel since coming to us, but it is possible once they are in their very own home, they will love sitting on their owner's laps. We just don't know for sure. We are hoping there is someone out there willing two take these 2 bonded sisters and give them a chance at a wonderful life. We are going to do a special adoption fee for anyone willing to adopt these girls together. If you think you may be that person, please let us know and we will set up a chance for you to meet them.Adoption Fee: $150 for both Geraldine and GwynethCut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editWoman with 22 cats showed up at Catapaluza and needed help. We were wrangled into it, luckily we had a few transports coming up.
