Story
“Hello! My name is KELLY! I’m one of the special-needs pets up for adoption at CompAnimals. I am living with FIV. I am only 6 years old and have a long and wonderful life ahead of me but I should be the only cat or with another FIV cat. Other than that, I am purr-fect! I was living with a nice family who loved me very much but their living situation changed so I came here. Please pass the word that I am looking for a home for the holidays. Thank you & meow!” Kelly is approx 6 years old and has been spayed & vaccinated. She was overwhelmed at first when arriving in our cat room where she resides in a separate cage. She has settled in now and is quite friendly but will need adequate time to decompress in her new home. Adoption $25. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org to make Kelly part of your family. June 26, 2024, 8:22 am

Story
KITTLES is an approximately 8 yr old kitty who was brought to us for not getting along with other cats in the house. Indeed, Kittles does have catitude! He would do best as an only cat but could coexist with friendly dogs. Kittles is very social and greets our volunteers and guests but he does have a short attention span for hands-on attention and will swat you when he feels you have crossed the line. Kittles will be a great companion for someone who wants a friend to talk to but not snuggle up with. Kittles is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for leukemia/FIV. Adoption $75. Please fill out an application at www.CompAnimals.org if you have room in your heart and your home for Kittles &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143June 26, 2024, 8:22 am

Story
DUNCAN is a young adult who was trapped during the coldest days of winter behind a Dunkin' Donuts, when a concerned citizen saw him fending for himself. Although he is shy, he's definitely had a home at some point because he is not feral. Duncan gets along well with the female kitties in our cat room. He takes a little while to warm up, but does allow affection from our volunteers. He loves our catio, and would enjoy a screened in porch where he could sun himself and listen to the crickets! Duncan has been neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/leukemia. Adoption $75. Please fill out our cat adoption application at www.companimals.org prior to making an appointment to come out and meet Duncan.June 26, 2024, 8:22 am

Story
RUE is approximately one year old and came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. Rue was terrified when she arrived and would strike out through the bars of her quarantine cage. It took us a while to win her over. She is now very affectionate with the volunteers but her new family should expect a similar decompression time. Typical to Calicos, she has a short fuse, so would not be the best match for a family with young children. Older children who understand “catitude” should be fine. Rue does not mind the small dogs who also inhabit our cat room. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/leukemia and microchipped. Adoption $75. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you’re interested in adding Rue to your family.June 26, 2024, 8:22 am

Story
DORITO was a semi-feral that someone trapped with the intention of keeping. Unfortunately, his roommate didn't agree so Dorito was surrendered to us. Having spent some extra time with her foster family, we have seen her true personality blossom. Dorito is a shy girl but once she gets to know you, she is quite chatty and will pour on the love. She loves to play with other cats and feels more confident having a kitty sibling to follow so she needs a home with a friendly cat buddy. Best in an adult-only home or with older kods. Dorito is about 1 year old, spayed and up to date on vaccines. Tested negative for FIV/Leukemia. Adoption $100. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org. June 26, 2024, 8:22 am

Story
Bandit is about seven years old. He and his sister were abandoned at about seven months and a friend of ours took them in. We acquired them from her when she started looking for a new home for them. She had them neutered and their shots up to date before she gave them to us. Bandit would likely make a good barn cat, but might have issues in a house setting. Bandit is territorial and will spray on walls if he smells scents he doesn't like and stresses. He is aggressive with male strangers. Besides hissing at them, if they come to close, he will scratch at them. Despite these behaviors, Bandit can be very loving. I am male, and since I am not a stranger, he and I get along well. Although we kept him as indoor cat, he does like the outdoors. We know this because he has run out of our front and garage doors, numerous times. If we can't get him to come back in immediately, he does always come home and doesn't stray far.
