Story
Meet Macaroon! This little sweetie came into our care as a young kitten along with her 6 siblings and has been in foster care ever since. However, all the siblings have now found their furever homes, leaving just Macaroon and Gingerbread still searching. Macaroon is a little more outgoing than her sister, Gingerbread. She will greet you at the door whenever she sees you with the loudest of purrs and some little chirps! She loves playing with any and all of her toys, but is also happy to snuggle up in a warm bed with her sister, and sleep the day away.Kittens need lots of attention and a safe environment for them to grow into great pets. Like any baby, Macaroon is constantly learning. Raising a kitten is a big commitment but well worth it when you consider they will be a part of your family for up to 20 years. If Macaroon seems like a good fit for you please submit an online application below, and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit!https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-shuswap/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 1.36 Age: 0yrs 0mths 12wks

Story
This is Floyd. Floyd recently came to us as a stray and appears to have been on his own for some time. He wasn't feeling great when he came in, but already has improved so much. He does have some broken teeth and is awaiting dental surgery, but would love to find a "foster-to-adopt" home while he waits. This means he could spend time in his forever home prior to surgery and as he heals - then when he gets the green light from the vet that he is all healed up, he could be officially adopted. Floyd loves to be loved. He is a total lap cat and will take all the attention you're willing to give him. You can often find Floyd standing in the door and meowing at any passerbys to try and coax them into his room for a visit. Story
Panini came to us with her siblings from a large feral cat colony and was initially the most fearful of the bunch. But she's come a long way since then and has transformed into the most confident and curious of the group. She's now the first to approach for a sniff or gentle pat and is showing more interest in people every day.Panini is playful and loves chasing toys or wrestling with her siblings. She's still a bit wary of loud noises and sudden movements, so a quiet home would be ideal for her. If you already have a friendly resident cat, Panini would likely thrive with a buddy to show her the ropes and help her feel more secure. If you're looking for a sweet and playful kitten who's ready to blossom with a bit of patience and love, Panini might be the perfect fit for you!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Calico Secondary Color: Torbie Weight: 1.09 Age: 0yrs 0mths 9wks

Story
Meet Pearl, who came to us as a stray from a cat colony. Pearl didn't have socialization early on in her life so is very scared right now and will need a home that is dedicated to making her feel safe and make progress at her own pace. She has spent her life with other cats, so a resident cat who could show her the ropes could help her build confidence, but is not a requirement. Pearl would prefer a quiet home.If you think this is the girl for you, please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 1.28 Age: 0yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
Licorice has earned a bravery award today for eating off someones hand! She had to watch her brother Barry first before she mustered the courage, but well done little one, we know you have potential to be an amazing couch cuddler.Until recently, this little girl, along with her kitty family has lived a life on the wild side but we have bigger dreams for her.Licorice would do really well in a home with another cat or even with her brother Barry. She loves the company of cats and although she's very fearful she gains confidence from watching the more confident kittens. You'll need lots of love and patience to win Licorice over, but it will be worth it.You can read about other shy cat success stories on our Shuswap facebook page, if you're up for the challenge, submit an online application below, and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 1.63 Age: 0yrs 4mths 2wks
