Story
Meet Dahlia! This girl is sweet and beautiful, and bonded to her friend Calypso. These two friendly companions share an inseparable bond, and we are seeking a patient and loving adopter who is ready to welcome two new friends into their home. Both cats have a gentle and affectionate nature. While they can be a bit shy at first, with a little patience and understanding, they quickly show their loving personalities. They've just arrived in the shelter but are warming up quickly to the staff and volunteers. Though they may initially be cautious in new surroundings, they are incredibly sweet and respond well to calm, positive interactions. If you're looking for a pair of gentle, affectionate cats to share your home, and you can provide them the loving environment they need, this dynamic duo could be the perfect match for you. Adopting them means giving two beautiful souls the chance to blossom into the wonderful, loving cats they were meant to be.These two are still awaiting spay appointments, so we are looking for an adopter who can take them to their appointment in North Vancouver (date TBD). If you would like to come and visit, our adoption hours are 12-3, Tuesday-Sunday (closed on Mondays). Primary Color: Calico Secondary Color: White Weight: 2.99 Age: 3yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Johnny is looking for a patient, understanding and experienced cat owner who can provide him with the care and support he needs to settle in to a new home and here are a few suggestions to help Johnny transition and let his true personality shine1. Quiet and safe space: set up a designated area in your home where Johnny can feel secure and have some privacy.2. Slow introduction: allow Johnny to acclimate at his own pace. Give him time to explore his new surroundings gradually. Avoid overwhelming him with too many new experiences or interactions all at once.3. Patient and understanding: Johnny may initially be hesitant or fearful. Be patient and allow him to approach you on his owns terms. Avoid forcing interactions and give him space when needed.4. Establish a routine: Cats thrive on routine, and having a consistent schedule can help him feel more secure and settled.5. Interactive playtime. Use toys that stimulate his natural instincts. This will help build his confidence and create positive associations with you and his new environment. 6. Positive reinforcement: Use treats, praise and gentle strokes to reward Johnny for positive behaviour and interactions. This will help him to associate positive experiences with you and build trust over time.Johnny was used to living with a single adult, no children or any other pets for this boy. He spent 9 months of his life being bullied by other cats in his previous home. No outdoor access, he's lived indoors only. Johnny has been making very positive progress and has been coming around great as staff and volunteers continue working with him. He is slowly showing his true colours of being loving and gentle. We know the right home that will continue to make progress with him is out there for him, could that be you? 1.
