Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Comet was surrendered by a person whose cat clowder got a bit out of control, requiring some spay/neuter services and a reduction in the cats remaining in the home. The other surrendered cats have been adopted, so just Comet is still waiting for his forever family to find him. Comet was born 2/1/23. Favorite things include playing with wand toys, being petted, and being held for brief periods. He also enjoys lap time - he is the happy lap boy in the video. Add in some shoelaces to play with, and Comet will give you an A+! This handsome panther is good with other cats, but is NOT fond of dogs. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Comet is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application. Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Totem and Feather came to us when their owner could no longer care for them. Their estimated date of birth is 7/1/2023. This brother and sister are both very sweet and affectionate. Totem loves to sit by you and receive pets, while Feather will stand in your lap and drool as you give her scritches. Both love the wand toy (though it is clear Totem is the more playful hunter). Feather is shy when meeting new people or kitties (to which she will give warning hisses for them to give her space). Once she feels comfortable she becomes the sweetest kitty imaginable! Totem is more a social butterfly who is curious and ready to meet new friends. These kitties have never lived with children so we recommend older pet savvy children. They are ok with other cats and were tolerant of the big dog during their in-shelter dog test. If you are looking for fun affectionate kitties Feather and/or Totem might just be for you! They can be adopted as a pair for a small discount, but do not have to go together, as neither is dependent on the other. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Totem is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Kashmir and Velvet. These stunning boys have a date of birth of 5/3/2017. These boys were adopted from Forget Me Not as kittens, and were recently returned to the shelter when they lost their home. Kashmir and Velvet are two of the sweetest kitties you'll ever meet. These calm boys absolutely LOVE snuggles. Velvet is more of a lap kitty while Kashmir likes to walk back and forth and give head boops or roll on his back for belly scratches. Both boys drool heavily to express their joy, so you may want to have a towel near by during any intense cuddle sessions! Both boys are good with other cats and seem to do well with calm, cat-savvy dogs. They have not yet been introduced to children so we would not necessarily recommend them for toddlers, but feel they would do fine with older children. These boys may be adopted separately, or together with a small discount. Video Coming Soon All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Kashmir is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the British kittens! These cuties were born 3/27/24. They are a fantastic mix of colors, fur types, and purrrsonalities - something for everyone in this group! This young, they should all integrate easily into homes with other cats, dogs, and children. If you're looking for just a single kitten, Masie seems to be the most suited to single kitten life; in the video, you can see she is the one who is hesitant to join in with her siblings during play, she is like the last person picked for the team, and could use a home where she can build confidence. The rest of the crew? Anything goes for them! LOLLIE F Siamese (ADOPTION PENDING) MAEVE F short haired white with tabby patches MASIE F short haired mackerel grey tabby with white feet, tan nose CRUMPET F long haired smoky black CLEMENTINE F short haired black & white tuxedo CHURCHILL M long haired dark grey tabby with white (ADOPTION PENDING) AVON F short haired target tabby with white We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $65 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Introducing the Pie litter! These four handsome boys, born 3/1/24, create a whirlwind of play in their Meow Manor room, which they share with Biscuit and the French Bakery litter (yes, they can mix-and-match easily among different litters). They are all young enough to adapt well to homes with other cats, dogs, and children. These rambunctious Romeos include: SHOOFLY - black, blue collar BLACKBERRY - black, red collar MUD - black, no collar WHOOPIE - grey More photos of each coming soon! Story
This sweet and playful girl came to us with her mother and two kittens after getting off to a rough start. When Isla first arrived in our care she was scared and stressed, but after some time in foster care she has started to let her sweet and gentle nature show. Isla is very bonded to her mother, Juniper, and would do best in a place that can welcome both of these girls into their hearts and homes. Isla may take some time to warm up to her new person, but when she does she is full of purrs. She makes her cuddly side clear by giving nose boops and climbing into your lap. She enjoys playing with toys, being pet by her people, and snuggling with her mom. If Isla and Juniper sound like the right fit for you, fill out an application today!
