Story
Pepper is approx 6 years old. He acts like a dog, trying to stand on his real legs to get close to you for petting. He likes attention when it’s his idea. He’s from a house with other cats that have never been an issue but the balance is out and now we need to look at rehoming. I think he would be ok in a house with other cats but he will definitely want to be the one in charge. He great doesn’t scratch carpets - but he does area rugs. He doesn’t jump on counters or tables. He likes to sit on your lap while watching tv.

Story
Meet Gabby:Gabby is a gentle, affectionate senior kitty who's ready for a calm, loving home where she can continue her journey toward better health. She's earned the nickname "Flabby Gabby" around the shelter, but what truly defines her is her soft nature and her desire for comfort and companionship. She's looking for a loving home where she can continue her weight‑loss journey with patience, encouragement, and lots of gentle support.Despite her size, Gabby is surprisingly particular. She knows what she likes, and she isn't shy about turning her nose up at anything that doesn't meet her standards. It's part of her charm - she's a girl with opinions.Because of her current weight, Gabby needs a bit of help with grooming. An adopter who can lend a hand with brushing and basic upkeep will make her feel comfortable and cared for until she's able to manage more on her own.Underneath it all, Gabby is a tender, lovable soul who just wants a calm home, a soft place to nap, and someone who will cheer her on as she works toward a healthier future. If you're ready to help a sweet senior blossom into her best self, Gabby is waiting to meet you.Walk-ins are prioritized. We are open Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays). In order to prepare for your visit, you can submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire as well at;https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 7.95 Age: 10yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Meet Darla:Darla came into our care when her previous owner unfortunately passed away, initially frightened of the shelter environment it took poor Darla some time to adjust to her new surroundings. Each day staff learn more about her personality as she becomes more comfortable in the shelter. Darla enjoys affection and loves some good chin scritches. She does best in a calm quiet environment as she can easily become overwhelmed by excessive commotion. She did previously live with another cat, however she doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of other cats so would likely appreciate being a solo kitty in her forever home. If you have a quiet home and are looking for sweet cat with just a pinch of sass Darla might be the one for you! Darla did come into care severely overweight so has been put on a special diet to help her become the best version of herself. Additionally, she has been diagnosed with grade 2 periodontal disease and it has been recommended by a veterinarian that she receive dental care in the "near future" however at this time it is not yet necessary. Adopters should be prepared to follow up with their vet regarding Darla's weight loss journey and oral health.Walk-ins are prioritized. We are open Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays). In order to prepare for your visit, you can submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire as well at;https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Chocolate Point Weight: 6.05 Age: 6yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Hobbes is a debonair, long‑legged tabby gentleman who loves attention and will happily flop at your feet for pets. After his previous guardian passed away, he came to the SPCA and has been charming everyone with his affectionate, laid‑back nature. He enjoys cozy naps and tasty snacks-maybe a little too much-so a healthy diet will help him stay trim and feeling his best.He can be a touch nervous in new environments at first, but once he settles in, he's wonderfully friendly and loving. Hobbes is used to a calm adult home and would likely thrive in a quieter space, though older, cat‑savvy kids could be a great match. He has lived with other cats before and may do well with other animals given slow, patient introductions.Hobbes does have bilateral medial patellar luxation (MPL), a condition where the kneecaps can occasionally shift out of place. He manages it comfortably, and his main needs are maintaining a healthy weight and enjoying a lifestyle that's gentle on his joints. It doesn't take away from his charm-he's still a handsome, affectionate companion ready to bring warmth to the right home.If you think Hobbes might be your match, please apply in person or online:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 7.33 Age: 1yrs 9mths 3wks
