Story
Chanelle is a shy little girl looking for a calm, indoor home. She came into our care as a stray so we don't have much information about her other than what we've learned about her here. She is friendly and sweet but prefers to keep to herself when she is feeling overwhelmed.Chanelle has recently started an anxiety-reducing medication to help ease her stay with us and hopefully better transition her into her adoptive home. She is in a foster home and is available for viewing by appointment. If you are interested in meeting with Chanelle, please fill out the adoption application and feel free to contact the branch directly for more information at 250-723-5269 alberni@spca.bc.cahttps://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Torbie Weight: 3.33 Age: 5yrs 1mths 4wks

Story
The boy with the wonky tail is officially up for adoption. After being transferred into our center, our team has tried our best to bring him out of his shell. From the beginning he wanted nothing to do with human interaction, but we've made our way into his heart with treats, patience and lots of playing. Although still timid of being approached, or fast movements, he will approach you and want to play. His favorite toy is the string wand! Just be mindful that if you're looking for a cuddly kitten, this isn't going to be the cat for you. Thunder does play well with other cats, and has made a friend with his roommate Lilo! Thunder will need to go to a family that is willing to continue his journey of socialization! If you think Thunder may be the right fit for your family, please fill out an application form. Thunder is available to view at shelter, but we ask to keep numbers to a maximum of two as he does get overwhelmed with too many hands. Story
Brought in as stray, this lovely girl is now ready to settle down and live her best life! Blacky is friendly, and playful but also has a very laid-back side! Blacky is keen to catch all the mice and balls you throw around, and also is an amazing wand snatcher. We assume her skills come from her previous life as a street cat :) Full of rambunctious energy, we recommend she goes to a home where she can play till her hearts content. As well, she needs to remain the single animal in a household; No other cats, or dogs please! So far in shelter, she does love to have visitors of all ages! Blacky has a tendency to become very stressed out which can lead to inappropriate urination. We have found what works at shelter for her, and have had no problems since! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Weight: 4.5 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Biscuit is a gentle, timid girl who takes time to feel safe in new situations. While she can be shy around unfamiliar people, she forms strong bonds with those she knows and trusts. Once settled, she shows her affectionate side through cuddles and playful moments with her favourite humans. She would do best in a quiet, calm home, ideally without young children, or with children aged 13+ who are respectful, patient, and able to give her space. She will need someone who understands that trust takes time and won't expect her to seek attention straight away.A suitable home will provide her with a small, quiet hideaway space where she can retreat and observe while she builds confidence at her own pace. With patience, consistency, and gentle encouragement, she has the potential to continue growing in confidence. She is okay with other animals, but she was under‑socialised with people, which contributes to her anxiety. Ongoing support will be important, and she may require long‑term medication to help manage her anxiety and support her emotional wellbeing. This sweet girl will thrive with a compassionate person who values slow progress and quiet milestones. In the right environment, she has so much love to give. Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.03 Age: 0yrs 8mths 3wks
