I`m an older gentleman whose owner passed away, and unfortunately the next of kin was unable to care for me. I`m a little scared of new people so I will need some time and patience to warm up to you. I would do best in a quiet, adult household or one with older kids because fast movements and loud noises make me nervous.

I`m a talkative young girl who really wants to spend time with you and talk about your day. I`m also very active so I will need an active family. One who is willing to play with me. So dont be shy, pick up a wand toy and let me show you how much fun I can have! The reason why I was brought to the shelter by my previous owner was because they were having a baby. They said I lived with other cats and dogs, but they wouldn`t recommend I lived with dogs because I`m scared of them.

When I came into the shelter I was very scared of people, but since the staff has been working with me I`ve realized that people arent so scary. Once I feel comfortable I love gentle pets. I`m still a little scared of people holding me, but if you sit quietly I may get into your lap. I would do best in an adult home or one with older children since fast movements and loud noises scare me.Unfortunately my previous owner could no longer take care of me so now I`m looking for my forever home.

Effie is a sweet but shy, sophisticated lady. She loves affection, including head and back scratches, and sometimes enjoys a nap at your side. She is sensitive to loud noises, including loud voices. She loves a good, safe place to take her naps, like under the bed or a little pet house. Effie is an anxious kitty. I have had her since she was 8 wks old and I know the home from which she came. She has never suffered abuse of any kind but often will act fearful of people but will surprise you at times by walking right up to a visitor in your home. I think she can sense who the good ones are. She detests being picked up! But will lay next to you as long as she can trust you not to overstep her boundaries. Effie only wants to be loved and to live in peace. She is bullied at home by 2 other cats. I think a home where she is the only pet, with an older person(s) and no small children, living a quiet life, would be best for her. She is a good girl! We will update her shots soon.

Frances is one of 2 brothers who need to be adopted together! Pls look for his brother, Ollie. Frances is a sweet boy who loves long naps in our pantry or on our bed. He longs for the outdoor life but isnt cut out for it. Outdoor time needs to be 100% supervised! He & his brother were found at 3wks stuffed in box on a train. We adopted them from the man who found them. He is quiet andwell-behaved! He will enjoy the occasional zoomies abt once a day. He and his brother will sometimes let their play-fighting get out of hand but it never gets violent. Frances prefers not to be picked up but wont fight you, he just gets sad and feels like hes being picked on. If you play with him, he is QUICK and will scratch you but its NEVER mean & intentional, he just doesnt keep his claws in. It's best to play with him w toys. He loves to snuggle next to you while you watch TV or read. He loves treats (carbs) and a good box! Best in a home w older kids and/or adults. He is not mischievous at all!

Story

Ollie is one of 2 bonded brothers that need to be adopted together. Pls look for his orange brother, Frances. Ollie is 5 yrs old, microchipped, and his vaccs will be updated soon! Ollie was found as a 3 wk old kitten stuffed in a box and put on a train. We adopted him and his brother, April 2020, from the man who found them. They were fiesty and very curious kittens but have settled down a lot. Ollie enjoys long naps on the bed, playing with those Nerfgun bullets, and chin scratches! He is also obsessed with shoes and will sniff them like a madman when you get home. He likes to sleep w us at night. He is very sweet & calm but firm with his boundaries and won't tolerate being picked on or harassed. He will use soft paws with me, his mom, but will scratch my teen if he plays too roughly with him. Ollie also does NOT appreciate being picked up! Pls respect his boundaries. He is an indoor ONLY kitty but curious about the outside and may try to slip out an open door. Best w adults!
