Story
Available in TX, PNW and NE! Meet Ashley, an adorable 4 month old Carolina mix puppy, weighing 35 pounds and full of playful energy! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! At just 12-14 weeks old, she's already on the way to mastering house training and crate training. Our little learner is picking up commands like "sit," "lay down," and "leave it," and she's showing great skill in loose leash walking and recall training already. Living with a medium-sized dog and two cats currently, she's friendly and playful, eagerly watching and learning from her furry friends. She would thrive in a home with another dog, as their presence helps her warm up to new things and experiences more easily. Though she can be a bit shy in new situations, her curiosity helps her adjust quickly to new experiences and people. One of her charming traits is how quickly she settles down at night in her crate, making bedtime a breeze. Despite her young age, she has the ability to relax on her own and will often put herself down for naps throughout the day. If you're looking for a loving, intelligent companion who's eager to learn and grow, this playful pup might be the perfect match for you! To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Ashley click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-521 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Sweet Caroline is a girl who is just over a year old, who has been with us at FCAR for about 6 weeks. She is a Carolina Dog/ Shepard mix who is still young and is very high energy. She is a well-meaning girl who can become overstimulated- like her Carolina Dog breed suggests, she is a girl who needs and enjoys consistent exercise. Sweet Caroline is also a very intelligent girl who takes commands and listens well. She would be a wonderful addition for an active household/ person who is looking for a buddy to adventure with that may just need a little guidance! If Sweet Caroline sounds like the perfect pup for you, apply today! If you have any questions about her, or adoptions in general, feel free to reach out to us at info@fcarpets.orgWe are pre-approving applicants. To schedule an appointment, first fill out our adoption application ( https://cb8f5fb7-0a87-40fa-8ea5-50c4da40acd3.filesusr.com/ugd/c8cb9f_8cd13866ecd54a42a2b424d2b2f8dc10.pdf ). This will ask you questions about which animal you’re interested in, your family, other furry members in the household, whether you own or rent your home and who your Veterinarian is. These allow us to make the best match possible. We touch base with your landlord due to the unfortunate number of landlords who do not allow pets in Franklin County. Our goal with checking in with your Veterinarian is to ensure that the animals of FCAR receive the medical care they deserve. Once we have a positive reference from your landlord (if you rent) and Veterinarian, we will contact you to schedule an appointment with us! If you don't have any pets we understand you would not have a vet reference and we ask for applicants to substitute a personal reference. Please keep in mind, appointments are first come, first serve, based on when your application is approved. Please be patient with your Veterinarian and landlord, as their staff and businesses have been affected by COVID-19 as well. We are incredibly thankful that there has been no shortage in interest! This being said, our staff is limited and we are doing our absolute best to approve applications in a timely manner. This process can take up to a few weeks, but most are approved before then.
