Honey lived large with a big family in close quarters for a few months before coming to the shelter-there she was with adults, an older child, dogs and even a cat. She`s very housetrained and can wait several hours for a potty break. She`s also dutiful in following requests. Playing fetch is one of her favorite activities - she`ll drop it at your feet and back up to wait - she`s a fetch machine! When the play is done she`ll be ready for some affections. Honey likes to feel safe and secure like all dogs do, and this can be hard in a shelter where she feels vulnerable behind bars. Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. Delilah is a sweet, loving, and intelligent dog. I adopted her from a shelter in Killeen, TX back in January 2021. When I got her they estimated she was about 2. She is very healthy, at a perfect weight. I believe she’s a Indian Pariah Dog I’m looking to find Delilah a new family is because she spends a lot of her time locked up. She doesn’t like to be left out of her crate. Also, I’m starting to travel more for work, so it’s becoming a challenge. She can be a little territorial about her cage, but only when she’s in it and a stranger walks near it. Also, if a stranger walks towards us she’ll lunge, unless they have a dog and she wants to play. She’s ok on the leash, but not perfect. These can be resolved with basic training or changes (like getting her comfortable with staying out of the crate). I could write a million good things about her, but want to be transparent about the challenges. It deeply saddens me that I need to re-home her but I want her to have the best life.
