Story
Benji is up for adoption in TX only! Benji is a 1-year-old, 25-pound Red Heeler/Carolina mix who’s likely full-grown and ready to find his forever home. This handsome boy has a stunning red coat and an even more beautiful personality. While he may be a little timid at first, it doesn’t take long for his playful and affectionate side to shine through. Benji is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and humans. He’s incredibly sweet and has a natural charm that makes him a joy to be around. He’s also a quick learner! Benji is fully potty trained (not a single accident!) and picked up the “sit” command in just a couple of days. Though he still has some puppy energy, Benji is well on his way to becoming the perfect companion. He loves to play but might chew on things if left alone too long, so he’ll need some monitoring as he continues to learn. Long car rides aren’t ideal for Benji since he can get car sick, but he’s more than happy to join you on shorter adventures. Benji is a great and easygoing dog who would thrive in a loving home with someone who can give him the time and attention he deserves. Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Benji can’t wait to meet you! To apply directly for Benji click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-590 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Updated: 22JAN25 **Meet William – The Fox of Memphis!** Our medium male mixed breed who arrived at the shelter under unknown circumstances. The stars aligned on a magical day that ended with a full moon, marking William's rescue and bringing an extra touch of enchantment to his journey. **Timid but Sweet** He is shy yet full of potential, longing to be the star of the show. He might take a moment to warm up, but once he does, you’ll be charmed by his adorable antics! No aggression here—just a gentle soul who needs a little encouragement (and maybe some treats) to show his true colors. **Patience is Key** We know that with love and patience, he’ll blossom into the confident companion he’s meant to be. Just imagine the joy he’ll bring as he shows off his personality! **Adorably Unique** With his dainty frame and charming demeanor, William has certainly earned the title of the Fox of Memphis! William is looking for a special someone to help him navigate this little hiccup in his journey. If you’re ready to offer love, patience, and a safe haven (along with a few good laughs), William is ready to steal your heart!

Story
Meet Bentley Cole! Bentley Cole is one handsome fella with a heart of gold. Bentley is a spunky Carolina Dog mix with an estimated birthday of 10/01/2021, weighing in around 65lbs. He has the same sad backstory as many other dogs in our care, he came to us as a stray who was picked up by Animal Control and his owners never came forwards. We know wherever he came from, he was very loved. Bentley has been happy, outgoing, and lovable since the moment we met him. Bentley is silly and playful, he loves treats more than anything. He knows some basic commands like "sit", and has good leash manners too. One of our favorite things about Bentley is his excited tap dancing! When you show him a snack or a really fun toy, his little feet go haywire stomping in place. Bentley does well with other dogs, but as always a meet and greet is required prior to adoption. He also does well with kids 8 and up, and doesn't mind cats  Bentley is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. Interested? Call 615-446-7387. ##2193176##

Story
Dexter is the youngest 14 year old dog we have ever seen!!! It is UNBELIEVABLE that this guy is 14 years old!!! He seems to have full eyesight and full hearing and loves to do zoomies and does great on the leash so we completely think this guy would still be great to be active and go on walks and hikes with you! He doesn't seem to have any arthritis and does great in a car and is a snuggler and loves to be around you but also seems cool to chill on his own. He seems ok with calmer dogs with a more chill vibe and the more energetic ones seem to be more stressful for him but a meet & greet should hopefully help us figure that out. He would also do great as the only dog in a home. In a home he is barely even vocal! He also seems ok with cats and is potty trained! What a good good boy!November 4, 2024, 1:26 pm
