Story
Royce is an athlete of the pup world, bursting with energy and enthusiasm. Not only is he stunning with his beautiful coat color, but he's also adventurous, spunky, and always ready for the next challenge. While the shelter environment makes him quite anxious, once outside his kennel, Royce is even-tempered and walks beautifully on a leash. In his foster home, he also appeared to be housebroken. Royce is looking for a two-legged workout buddy who's up for any adventure and can give him the stability he needs to thrive!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs.  The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC. FOSTER COMMENTS: Meet one of the Music Icon Puppies…Elvis!  He is a such a sweet puppy.  He let his foster know that he is looking for someone to "Love Me Tender".  Could that be you?   He is a cuddly, friendly puppy who is looking for his forever home. He is "All Shook Up" with excitement thinking about the future.  Who can resist this bundle of joy?  His momma, Maddy, is a 32 lb mix dog who is also pictured above.  We feel that her puppies will be her size or maybe a bit larger.  Elvis is a typical puppy who is learning a lot of new skills.  We are working on crate training.  He is almost potty trained and getting used to his potty schedule.  He loves going on walks and is doing well getting used to a leash. Since he is young, you must be vigilant that he does not sneak out doors or fences until he is full grown and knows his boundaries.  Elvis has not met a human he does not love.  He is very social and loves to meet new people.  Elvis has been around our youngest child who is 12 and he was great with him and our other children.  Puppies may nibble, bite and mouth so he may not be appropriate for very young children unless they have had experience around dogs/puppies. Elvis currently lives with 4 foster sisters of all different sizes and temperaments and plays well with all of them.  We have a cat and at first, he was curious but for the most part, he leaves the cat alone.  Elvis is mostly quiet unless he is hungry, and he will let you know it’s time to eat.   While Elvis would be ok in an apartment, he loves running around a fenced in yard. He has a lot of energy and seems to really enjoy running and playing with my dogs and then crashing and sleeping hard. He is currently used to having me at home all the time and a fenced in yard with siblings to play with.  So I think that situation would  be ideal but he could get used to not having a fence d yard as long as he had daily walks and plenty of exercise.  He does not like being left alone but we are working on him being left in his crate for short periods. He would do best in an environment where someone is home all day. In his forever home, he would love being the center of attention but would also love a pet sibling to play with.  Elvis is an absolute sweetheart. He is super snuggly and playful.  He loves sitting in your lap and giving lots of kisses. He'd make a great companion for older kids and a great playmate for another dog. He is smart as he has already learned to sit for his food or treats. He is also eager to please both his humans and dog friends.  Elvis is packing up his toys already and is getting ready for his next adventure in life!    If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and sweet companion who's always up for fun, Elvis might just be the pup for you! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Elvis was born at a shelter after his momma was picked up as a stray. Best Friend Pet Adoption quickly rescued both the momma and her 4 puppies.  They are all safe now and will live the rest of their lives in loving homes.  Maybe you can open your home for one of these lucky puppies.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants for puppies should ideally live no more than 60 minutes from Cary NC  since he must receive medical care in the Cary area. Best Friend Pet Adoption will cover all medical cost for Elvis until his adoption is finalized once he is neutered when he is around 6 months old. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live close to Cary NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ELVIS ? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Monty requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can meet him. If you are interested in Monty, please submit an application now!  Here is the  link:   https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC .      Meet Monty! Monty is a sweet, 2-year-old, 30-pound mixed breed looking for a patient and loving forever home. He’s a timid at first and will need a family that understands the importance of giving him time to learn to trust.   Monty thrives around other dogs and will need a confident, friendly dog companion in his new home to help guide him and bring out his playful side. A fenced-in yard is a must so Monty can run around and enjoy playtime with his furry BFF.   Once Monty feels safe, his true personality shines—he’s a total attention-seeker who adores affection! He loves playing with toys and enjoys time with his dog buddies.   While he’s house-trained and crate-trained, Monty is still working on leash confidence. He much prefers backyard adventures to walks around the neighborhood. Monty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. If you’re ready to give Monty the love and patience he needs, and have a playful pup to show him the ropes, he’ll be your loyal friend for life!   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    We prefer that applicants live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care that might be needed during the two week trial period prior to adoptions being finalized.  For the right home for Monty, we may consider applicants who live further away.     INTERESTED IN ADOPTING MONTY?
