Found as a stray who was never claimed in a very rural area, this very affable, good-natured boy found himself out of time. so we rescued him. He is a delightful companion who gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys playing. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Elvis will require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application.    The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC. Elvis is a wonderful dog and will make a great family pet.  His momma is a 32 lb hound mix. We feel that Elvis will be her size or larger.  Elvis is a typical puppy who is learning a lot of new skills.  We are working on crate training.  He is almost potty trained and getting used to his potty schedule.   Elvis has not met a human he does not love.  He is very social and loves to meet new people.  Elvis has been around our youngest child who is 12 and he was great with him and our other children.  Puppies may nibble, bite and mouth so he may not be appropriate for very young children unless they have had experience around dogs/puppies.    Elvis currently lives with 4 other dogs of all different sizes and temperaments and plays well with all of them.  We have a cat and at first, he was curious but for the most part, he leaves the cat alone. He has a lot of energy and loves to play with his foster siblings. Elvis is used to having someone home during the day and loves to play in his fenced in yard. So that situation would  be ideal in his forever home. He would do great with another dog in the home to play with.  If he does not have a playmate or fenced yard, he will need long walks and exercised often. An active family would be ideal for him.     Elvis is an absolute sweetheart. He is super snuggly and playful.  He loves sitting in your lap and giving lots of kisses. He'd make a great companion for older kids and a great playmate for another dog. He is smart and learning more every day. He is also eager to please both his humans and dog friends.  Elvis is packing up his toys already and is getting ready for his next adventure in life!    If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and sweet companion who's always up for fun, Elvis might just be the pup for you!  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Elvis was born at a shelter after his momma was picked up as a stray. Best Friend Pet Adoption quickly rescued both the momma and her 4 puppies. Elvis is looking for his forever home now.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants should ideally live no more than 60 minutes from Cary NC  since they must receive medical care in the Cary area. Best Friend Pet Adoption will cover all medical cost for Elvis until his adoption is finalized once he is neutered when he is around 6 months old.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  Elvis can start a trial adoption right now though!   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ELVIS ? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Monty requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can meet him. If you are interested in Monty, please submit an application now!  Here is the  link:   https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC .      Meet Monty! Monty is a sweet, 2-year-old, 30-pound mixed breed looking for a patient and loving forever home. He’s a timid at first and will need a family that understands the importance of giving him time to learn to trust.   Monty thrives around other dogs and will need a confident, friendly dog companion in his new home to help guide him and bring out his playful side. A fenced-in yard is a must so Monty can run around and enjoy playtime with his furry BFF.   Once Monty feels safe, his true personality shines—he’s a total attention-seeker who adores affection! He loves playing with toys and enjoys time with his dog buddies.   While he’s house-trained and crate-trained, Monty is still working on leash confidence. He much prefers backyard adventures to walks around the neighborhood. Monty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. If you’re ready to give Monty the love and patience he needs, and have a playful pup to show him the ropes, he’ll be your loyal friend for life!   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    We prefer that applicants live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care that might be needed during the two week trial period prior to adoptions being finalized.  For the right home for Monty, we may consider applicants who live further away.     INTERESTED IN ADOPTING MONTY?
