Meet Sakura — looking for her forever family! Sakura is a beautiful, 1-year-old pup weighing about 35 pounds. She’s a sweet, playful girl who loves romping around with other dogs and would thrive in an active home. She’s not a good fit for a home with cats, but she’ll bring plenty of love, energy, and fun to the right family. If you’re looking for a young, active companion, Sakura would love to meet you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, my name is Zag! I am an approximately 5 month old Carolina dog mix. My foster mom tells me all the time what cute little ears I have and I also have these long model legs that seem to go on forever! But when you look into my big brown eyes, that is when you might just fall in love with me. I am a very playful pup, playing with my foster siblings and all the awesome toys my foster mom buys for us are some of my favorite things to do. I am more of a follower than a leader as my best friend right now is a little chihuahua who we all refer to as momma and she has really helped me as I was a little shy in my new foster home at first but I am just fine now. We just love to run around in the backyard but I never want to be far from my foster mom and I am always looking over my shoulder to be sure she is there. How would you like to be my constant companion, I would sure like to be yours and I think I would be really good at it! I am crate trained and I really don’t mind going in if there is a cookie involved. I am still working on my basic commands and leash training but I know I will get it with practice. I am also working on my potty training and I am doing good as long as I am kept on a schedule. So, what do you say, would you like to meet up and see if we could be a good match for each other. My forever family is out there could it be you? Apply for me today at BuffaloCares.org. Story
Meet Vespera! (or as her foster parents affectionately call her — Vessy, Loch Vess Monster, or Vespa !) Vespera is an 8-month-old Carolina Dog / German Shorthaired Pointer mix, weighing about 33 pounds. She’s sweet, spunky, and light on her feet — a graceful little athlete who bounds around with joy and confidence once she warms up. Vess might be a bit shy when she first meets you, but don’t let that fool you, she comes out of her shell quickly and absolutely soaks up attention (especially belly rubs!). She loves to play with her foster brothers and would be thrilled to have a dog sibling in her new home, though she’d also shine as the solo star. We’re not sure how she’d do with cats, but judging by her intense interest in backyard squirrels… probably best in a feline-free home. Fun Facts about Vessy: She loves her crate — it’s her cozy safe space. She’s an aspiring interior designer who enjoys moving shoes around the house (but has never destoyed or nibbled them!). 100% potty trained — not a single accident in her foster home! (Yes, we are now knocking on wood) Leash walking is still a work in progress, but she’s learning to trust it. She may whine a little at bedtime but quickly settles in for the night — and greets you in the morning with a nonstop wagging tail! Her huge, bat-like ears are the perfect finishing touch on her petite frame — rumor has it, her name came from an elf character in a book, which suits her whimsical charm perfectly. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and personality-packed pup, Vespera might just be your girl! To fill out an application, please visit www.buffalounderdogs.com ##2544859##

Story
Meet Cloud — Gentle, Loyal, Goofy, and Ready for His Silver Lining There’s something truly special about Cloud — a soft, loyal soul with a heart as big as the sky. He’s 7–8 months old, right in that perfect in-between stage where he still has puppy playfulness but is learning every day how to be the best boy he can be. Cloud and his siblings, known as the Weather Crew, came from an unimaginable start. They were seized from a heartbreaking animal-abuse and hoarding case involving more than 25 dogs. Their mother and father didn’t make it, but Cloud and his littermates were the lucky ones who survived — and they’ve been waiting in the shelter ever since they were just 8 weeks old for a real home, soft bed, and gentle hands. Now neutered, heartworm negative, and fully up-to-date on vaccines and preventions, Cloud is healthy, clean, and ready for a fresh start. He’s crate trained and keeps his space tidy with regular potty breaks. He gets along beautifully with every single dog here and is wonderful with children. Cloud is still a little cautious when experiencing something new — but this is the sweetest part about him:Give him about a week to settle into a new environment, and he transforms into a complete goofball.Once he feels safe, he is silly, playful, joyful, and just an absolute dream of a companion. Soft, sweet, submissive, gentle — and so eager to make his people happy. He may need a bit of patience at first, but the reward is enormous. Cloud blossoms into the dog who follows you around, makes you laugh, and melts into you with the softest affection. Cloud is ready for his forever family — someone patient, understanding, and excited to watch him bloom into the incredible dog he was always meant to be. After everything he’s survived, this sweet boy deserves nothing less than a lifetime of love. If you would like to have Cloud join your family fill out an adoption application.  His $500 adoption fee covers medical care to include vaccines, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY. ##2566033##

Story
Hey there! I’m Bartock (aka Bart)! I’m 8 months old, about 50 pounds, and still learning what it means to be a happy, trusting dog. My first 8 months were a bit tough, so I’m a little shy at first. But if you’re patient with me, I promise I’ll show you just how sweet I can be. I’ve got big ears that some people think are kinda funny (they definitely help me listen for snacks! ), but what I’m really looking for is a family who’ll understand I need a little time to warm up. I’m not the kind of dog who rushes into things, but with love and care, I’ll trust you—and that’s when I’ll really start showing you my true self! I’m really hoping to find a home with another dog to help me feel confident and safe. I love having a buddy around, and they’ll help me navigate the world with a little more bravery. And guess what? I get along great with cats, too! Crate training is a bit of a work in progress for me, and sometimes I get a little anxious, but I calm down once I feel settled. I just need someone who can help me through it and show me that everything’s okay. If you’re looking for a sweet, shy boy who just needs a little time and a lot of love, I might be the perfect match for you! I’m ready to be your best friend and bring lots of happiness into your life. For more info, please visit www.buffalounderdogs.com ##2544858##
