Story
Located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders. Daisy was brought in with day old puppies, surrendered due to her being chained to a dog house. She is sweet girl who loves people! She is energetic, happy and gets along with other dogs. She has a very joyful personality who did not let her start ruin her life. She knows her name, does okay on a leash and does well in a car. She would be a great adventure companion who is open to new adventures with a new family

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet This Sweet & Smart Boy! This handsome pup is very sweet and incredibly smart. He’s alert, eager to learn, and will do great with a family who will continue working with him on training and helping him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He enjoys people and likes children, but due to his size he would likely do best with older kids who can handle a bigger, enthusiastic companion. Before coming into rescue, he spent much of his time wandering the streets and visiting neighborhood yards. He was known to sneak into yards to play with dog friends, so he does have experience around other dogs. As with any new dog, proper introductions will be important to help everyone get off to a good start. Because of his past, he does have some fear of the leash and harness, making a physical fence a requirement but our volunteers are actively working with him to build confidence and positive associations, and he is already making progress. At this time, there is no known history with cats. This sweet, smart boy is ready for a patient family who will continue helping him learn, grow, and finally enjoy the stability and love he deserves. With guidance and consistency, he’s sure to become a loyal and wonderful companion.❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.   If you would like to donate please send donation to: MMAR Box 180155 Utica, MI 48318   Donate online at https://www.sanilacscoopers.org/   Please email us at mmarpaws@gmail.com for additional information or to set up special appointments May 12, 2026, 5:52 pm

Story
Journey has been at the rescue for close to 3 years! Despite his lengthy stay he has continued to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. He is not only friendly towards humans, but also plays well with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-dog household. He is playful - loves toys. Journey also enjoys meeting new people, always hoping that one of the new humans will take him home. It is hard to believe that this friendly guy has been in rescue for most of his life. Is it because he isn't as pretty as some other dogs? It certainly isn't because of his behavior. Journey is waiting to have a home of his own with people who will provide him with the love and attention he deserves.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Meet Jenny! SEE FOSTER UPDATES BELOW! HOUSE-TRAINED, CRATE-TRAINED, & GOOD WITH DOGS & KIDS! GRADUATED FROM TRAINING TOO! This connecting Carolina dog/shepherd mix is 39 pounds and two years old. She is currently loving life in an amazing foster home and we can't wait to share all we've learned about this lovely pup! House-trained and crate-trained, Jenny aims to please! Jenny currently lives with three other pups and does great with them! Jenny tends to match the energy of the dogs she meets. If you're looking for a furry pal for your pup-check her out! She enjoys all sorts of treats and toys-especially plush ones! You can take both food and toys away with no issue. Jenny rides well in the car and is ready to hit the road with you. She has visited our friends at Pupper Budder where she met some new furry friends. Next was Pet Supplies Plus, a walk at the lake, and a quick stop at Tractor Supply. Of course what outing would be complete without a tasty treat that she gobbled right up! This impressive girl also graduated from her obedience class with our friends at Paws Plus You. She is a very capable girl and had a blast with the other pups in her class! She walks well on her leash and always sits nicely for her treats which she takes gently. She has great recall and is eager to please! She loves to sprawl out in her bullfrog pose and has the best smile around! As she is still a young lady, Jenny will thrive in a home with continued training, daily exercise and a nice yard to enjoy! Jenny is the queen of the zoomies, but always makes time for some snuggles. She will never turn down a belly rub. At the end of the day, Jenny sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, dreaming of the day she can become part of her forever family. Based on our evaluation, we feel Jenny would do well in an active home with adults or families with kids five and up. She may have the ability to live in a home with other dogs of a similar energy level and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think she could be the pup for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com and submit your application for our jubilant Jenny!

Story
Sunkiss A18433341 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -She starts off timid and unsure and takes awhile to warm up-The more time we spent together the more relaxed she became. Then she was enjoying being close for pets!-She likes treats, sits very patiently and takes them super gently-She seems like she’s going to be very playful once she’s completely comfortable. She briefly played with a stuffed animal and did some zoomies too!-She is just going to need someone to go very slow until she trusts!-She walks nicely on leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
